The results went as expected, but I never saw that Galatasaray loss coming. Not sure if this is how they plan to play despite the spendings in the transfer window. I know for sure that they will be hitting their heads in regret because of the absence of their key player(Oshimen). Frankfurt made it 5 while I was still writing. This scoreline is just too rough for Galatasaray.

And as for City, well, they had to do the needful. They can't afford to lose to Napoli even though Napoli is also another good side. And guess who is on the score sheet again?...Erling Haaland. What a wonderful moment for Rashford tonight as his two goals put his club in a better position of getting all three points tonight if they can defend the goals till the end of the 90 minutes because Newcastle have just put themselves back into the game after Anthony Gordon scored on the 90+2 minutes of additional time. A very tensed first 45 minutes for Barcelona and Newcastle. Newcastle created quite a few chances but was unable to utilize them properly in order to find the back of the net. Barcelona goalkeeper denied them those chances. On the other hand, Barcelona is still struggling to find the back of the net because Newcastle is making it difficult for them due to their tight defense formation.

It's full time now and it ended 1 - 2 in favour of the away team. The way Barcelona was just knocking the ball around the field, most of the time Newcastle was just in their own half as the ball was mostly played there. The surprising thing for me in the first half was the attempts by Barcelona and non of it was at least on target. Although, I wasn't surprised because I knew Barcelona was going to start scoring in the second half and they didn't disappoint when the first strike came and within minutes Rashford doubled the scores on the night for both him and his team.

I’m quite surprised to see Galaterssary lose by such a huge margin against Eintracht Frankfurt, considering the fact that Galaterssary started the game very strong in the first period of the game and they got rewarded by scoring the first goal of the match, they appeared to have approached the game with high intensity and counter pressing, but I think they lack the team work because they all seem to be relying on individual brilliance and Eintracht Frankfurt were able to organize themselves well as a team and equalized before end of the first half and coming back to the second half they build on that momentum and forced the galaterssary teams defense to several mistakes and they capitalized on that and put 4 more goals to make it 5:1 after full time. I think Galaterssary needs to play more like a team, Leroy sane was just running the field with the ball and trying to dribble past so many defenders, I think they need to play more like a team if they really want to go far in this competition because this competition is more of a tactical game and team work than just individual brilliance.

I'm seriously disappointed at Galatasaray because E. Frankfurt is not much of a big team that they should trashed 8: 1 Galatasaray without any serious resistance. I predicted Galatasaray but when I realized that Galatasaray have no real Champions League experience, I had to remove that match from my bet to avoid regretting it. I was right and lucky that my decision worked.

Manchester City dominated Napoli in the first half, but they couldn't score a goal against Napoli because of Napoli defensive football. I thought that the bookmakers made a big mistake in giving Barcelona big odds to win against Newcastle United, but for Barcelona not yet to score a goal against Newcastle United, I now believe the bookmakers didn't make a mistake with the odds they gave Barcelona.

Mostly in champions league games when Napoli gets to meet top teams they consider tough, they rather defend than trying to go attack and that has been the case with them against Manchester City, they also do make sure to concede very minimal amount of goals too. Some times these bookmakers has got some analytics which you may not be careful enough to notice and sometimes too they may be misleading bit in the case if Barcelona I see it as one of those times they turn out correct.

Napoli has never won at away against Premier League clubs, and Antonio Conte knows that they aren't a match for Manchester City at Etihad Stadium, and the only way for Napoli to earn a point against Manchester City is for them to play a defensive football, but they failed in the attempt because Manchester City was too strong for them in the second half. Yes, the bookmakers just put fear on some gamblers so that they won't add Barcelona to their bet ticket because Barcelona later wins against Newcastle United at full time with the big odds.

Nice win for Manchester City as they won comfortable at home 2:0 is a good way to start their campaign in this year's competition the early red card that Napoli had really affected their performance but as for city two goals with all three points is a good way to kickstart their champions League campaign. Yeah that's how it works most time in football, that player you never thought nor imagine, you can even say that he's not capable of scoring but you will be surprise to see him coming from behind to rescue the team, back in those days when people were underestimating Maguire but he has rescued manchester united in several matches.

Rashford is such a nice guy but he just have to let go off those pride because I see that those pride is affecting him seriously so if he can be able to let it go and also keep fame aside I'm sure that barcelona won't regret having him in  their squad, I see that he have started realizing his mistake And this is the right time for him to start making amends Else barcelona will proceed with the decision of taken him back to where he came from.

I was about to talk about the performance of Marcus Rashford tonight before coming across this points, I think tonight Marcus Rashford has proven himself by being the only person in the Barcelona team tonight that could stand out and defeat Newcastle United because he personally won the game for Barcelona. He may not have been scoring goals in the La Liga but his performance in the toughest game for Barcelona tonight shows that he's got the quality that is needed in the Barcelona team. Big ups for Newcastle for them amazing defense tonight but it's unfortunate they couldn't do it till the very end.

Napoli were being overhyped today, after all the expectations placed on them to at least hold the game to a draw they lost 2 nil...the odds given to them made it suspicious though but a lot of people that it would be one of those games were the team with that big odd would e s up winning...This is why odd setting by the bookmakers can be very confusing...congrats to city though I hope they keep it up

The first round of the League Phase has concluded, and as usual, some matches ended with surprises. Among the most surprising for me was the big win secured by Eintracht Frankfurt against Galatasaray. The Turkish side looked like a mediocre club despite having decent squad depth. Their defense was very porous, and without the presence of the injured Osimhen, their attack looked very blunt. Given the budget they spent in the last summer transfer window, it would be a huge disappointment if Galatasaray fails to advance to the Round of 16.

The game was looking hard that it was as though it was gonna be a barren draw with the defensive attitude of Newcastle united but in the end they still went on to show how average they are to Barcelona. Marcus Rashford is gradually bringing some attention to himself in Barcelona, his performance today was really brilliant, it's what any good attacker should be known for in scoring goals to deliver the team at a time when least expected.
