Not entirely true, a team can actually perform poorly at the beginning then pick form later on and go all the way to win the competition. At least I have followed this competition for almost 2 decades and from the statistics, it proves you can start poorly and still win it if you eventually pick form. Real Madrid has won the UCL by not performing well in the group stages but turn to beast mood in the knockout stages. Last season was even evident and PSG went on to win the Champions League.

It is impossible to  predict which team will win the champions league before the quarter-finals. We will see several renowned  teams eliminated in the playoffs and the round of 16. Last season, we saw Liverpool, who were at the top of the points table in the first round , being eliminated in the round of 16.
This season, the top of the table are big teams like Munich, Arsenal , Inter milan, city and PSG. But it is not surprising if none of these 5 teams win the title. Real madrid, liverpool, barcelona and chelsea are behind in the points table. Even then, all four of these teams have the ability to win the Champions League title.

Some teams find their backs to the wall, but when they make the playoffs after a poor performance in the group stage, they show a different temperament, which we have seen for several seasons. The Champions League is the biggest league in club football, all the clubs are desperate to win this league and try their best. Qualifying for the Champions League is also a dream for some teams. I don't think this match will be exciting, the difference in quality between the two has proven everything, PSG will dominate the match, especially since this game will be held at PSG's headquarters. Tottenham will have a tough time this time, it's not easy to face the defending champions, especially with their inconsistent performance. The most realistic strategy that Tottenham can use to get points from PSG is by implementing a total defense strategy, maybe they can get a point if they succeed in stopping all PSG attempts to score, but this strategy will not be completely successful if PSG is able to score from a free kick, penalty or header from a corner kick.

I can't agree with you. You said that the team that is consistent will be the champion. In case of winning regularly, the consistent team can become the group champion and make it to the final but it is not guaranteed that that team will win the trophy. It has happened in many matches in the past that despite playing well in almost every match, that team cannot win the trophy in the final. You only mentioned the possibility of Arsenal, I think Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool have the possibility of coming up higher.

Tottenham have less experience than PSG in Champions League but winning a title in UEFA Europa League last season is like a booster for Tottenham. In this season, they are playing better in Premier League and are ready to occupy a position in top four. In Champions League, I think they can enjoy their matches and journey here, so they don't have too much pressure like PSG that have to defend their crown. It's a big advantage of Tottenham Hotspur when playing more comfortably than PSG.

PSG winning the Champions League back to back just isnt going to happen. No matter how hard they try to retain it, they will definitely get knocked out at some point. I still remember when Chelsea beat them at the club level, it came as such a shock because nobody expected it. Everyone thought PSG would easily dominate, being the reigning champions, but it didnt happen. Honestly, looking at this season, the Champions League seems even tougher than last year. I would not  say that Dembele's injury is a big loss for PSG. Dembele is a good player, one of the most important players in PSG's squad, but PSG is not dependent on Dembele in any way. We have seen psg  perform well without Dembele.

Luis Enrique  has managed to form a strong squad. PSG is very strong as a team. Even though  several players in the squad are injured , we probably won't see a big impact on PSG's performance. Even then , I would say that it won't be  easy to get 3 points against Tottenham. I don't think Tottenham is a very strong  team , but their defense is strong. Let's see how the game goes then because last time even with their complete squad Tottenham almost gave them the scare of their life after leading by two goals in the super cup only to fall short at the very last minutes of the match by a dembele goal so hopefully they can replicate the same performance again coupled with the fact that most of the engine and power house of the team are currently on injury, I think Tottenham indeed have a good chance at winning the game.
