There were no goals in the first half of the Galatasaray - USG match, but there were shots that hit the post. I think many people were expecting a few goals in this match. Again, new surprise in the UCL came with Galatasaray losing against Royale Union SG with one goal, after the massive amount of Galatasaray’s attacks that were really ineffective. I was very disappointed watching the match, and my friend got upset too because of his bet xD.

This is the same team that beat Liverpool and played well against Ajax, winning 3 to 0. But today was a completely different story, a terrible performance that even ended with a red card for their player. I think their attacking approach is wrong, I have seen how they keep playing long balls without actually trying to shoot on goal. Maybe it’s time for them to wake up and do better.

After watching the first half, I think we can start to conclude that Chelsea are the favorites at home. Chelsea really took advantage of their home advantage and they put Barcelona's defense under pressure. Barcelona conceded 3 goals in the first half, but 2 of them were disallowed for offside. Not only did they lose, Barcelona also had to accept the fact that they would start the second half with 10 men because the referee had sent off Araujo at the end of the first half.

Chelsea's victory is within reach, but I don't think Barcelona will give up even if they have to finish the match with 10 men. Hansi Flik needs to make some changes in defense and he also needs to balance it with the attack line. Ferran was not good in the first half, maybe Raphinha should be played to increase the intensity of the attack.

Chelsea really is controlling this game in all round after the first 45 minutes and also rewarded by 1 Goal against Barcelona. Chelsea would’ve gone on to score four goals so far if not for three offsides ruling by the VAR against Enzo Fernandes. Barcelona came with a game plan but it seems Chelsea is trying to destabilize all their plans so far, and Barcelona are currently one man down after Araujo picked up a straight red card from a harsh tackle on Cucurella . If Chelsea continues playing this way in the second half then I think they are likely to come out with all three points.

It did not come to me as a surprise because Chelsea is not a sma team this season despite that they lost to Bayern Munic. With one man down, I wonder how Barcelona will be able to stop Chelsea from getting the maximum point tonight. I didn't expect this result though but it is football where wonders happens. I expect better play the second half and not this boring first half; Chelsea and Barcelona are supposed to give us beautiful football.

I am not even expecting Barcelona to do anything different in the second half. Chelsea game plan is working out perfectly for them. Chelsea are just playing long balls and Barcelona are not used to that kind of football. This is making Barcelona uncomfortable and Chelsea are getting the best of the night. As for Araujo his second card was really unnecessary he knew he was on a yellow card and he made that reckless challenge, not that the Chelsea player was in a position were he will score  so why that reckless challenge. All the away teams are leading from home. Surprisingly Mourinho's Benfica leads struggling Ajax at home. A win will be good for Benfica because they have been playing well but has not been lucky when it comes to goal scoring. Galatasary is also losing at home in a game that they were favored to win. Let's see how they will end this game with.

Ajax isn't as strong as they used to be in the previous seasons, they hardly win league games, not to mention challenges in the Champions League, since they lost their last league game to a weak team, I’m no more surprised by their defeats because this isn't the same Ajax team that competed for the league title last season. They always concede goals whether they play at home or away.

Benfica added another goal to finish 0-2 win away from home. Mourinho did a fantastic job taking advantage of the weak team to earn their first 3 points in the Champions League this season. Ajax look terrible this season, and it is clear that they will not make it through the group stage. However, Galatasaray suffered their second Champions League defeat, despite their odds to win, I believe Osimehn's absence was the reason they were unable to score a single goal.

Without the red card Chelsea was the better team on attempts, but I don’t understand why PEP benched Haaland with the form he is on, we are looking at a back to back loss for Manchester City  after we thought they have come out of the bad place they were and nothing In bigger things but if they lose today it will bring back the fear of going back to that bad form.

A stupid display by Araujo — first the yellow for talking back to the ref, and now a late tackle that posed no real danger to the goal. Barça’s defence, game after game, keeps surprising me with how stupid and naive they can be. Not to mention the own goal by Kounde . You can keep expecting the negative my friend but I'll assure you that Chelsea isn't in this game for jokes. They're really Outperforming Barcelona and giving them really tough time in Stamford bridge.

The second half would be more opposite of your expectation especially with Barcelona reduced to 10 men with Araujo's very rough tackle on Cucurella. Chelsea is playing like what I'll call a quality team. Every player doing great such that picking out a favorite is difficult. If they maintain this play intensity in the second half and even more of it. The Barcelona team would be greatly dismantled.
