Disappointing, that was the impression of Barcelona and Manchester City fans today. Barcelona trailed Chelsea 3-0 at half-time, while Manchester City were poor at home and trailed 0-2. Barcelona lost with 10 men, while Manchester City looked like they underestimated Leverkusen when I saw their starting line-up. It wasn't a good day for either team, but Chelsea and Leverkusen have something to be thankful for.

Chelsea were so good with their game, they didn't make many mistakes, their superior number of players allowed them to freely dominate the match. Barcelona kept trying their best, but Chelsea's defense was really difficult to penetrate until the end. Lamine Yamal couldn't do much in this match, he didn't have space to build a measured attack until he was substituted.

But today we have seen that in champions league, there is no big team and that is just the truth. Chelsea defeating Barcelona was a wonderful, as I so like the score line. In the other hand we saw how Manchester City lost to Bayarn Leverkusen, and this result was very entertaining as I don't believe for Manchester City to lose to a team like Leverkusen.

Chelsea won't stop surprising us when playing with these big European clubs. Look at how they took down Barcelona easily scoring three goals without Barcelona replying back any.

Chelsea played well today, they played against Barcelona, most people never believed Chelsea will get a win in the match, but they made the match so easy and they were able to score 3 goals in the match, Chelsea didn’t concede any goal in the match.

Barcelona received a red card in the match making things worst for them, but I know even without the red card Chelsea will still be getting a win in the match even if they won’t be able to score up to 3 goals in the match. Barcelona fans were all making lots of noise before the match started, but now they no longer have anything to say.

I expected something better from Barcelona in the match, but they played poorly today, the match was just so easy for Chelsea, Barcelona played poorly in a match which we all have been talking about.

When I saw the red card I also knew that Barcelona has lost the match coz 10 against 11 is absolutely impossible in this case....But still, even without the red card definitely Barcelona would still be no match for the world champions. The pressure they had on Barcelona was really intense....And I must commend Cucurella for an awesome performance, he  was able to really contain Yamal, am very sure after today Barcelona will know who their seniors are   Chelsea  really have a way of proving themselves usually in every important matches. congrats to the blues for securing their 5th place on the table..

What was Araujo thinking? I'm sorry to let this out but I think Araujo is mediocre player with average performance in big games. What was his intention? First he got a yellow card for complaining about a foul towards his teammates that was not given and then he go straight ahead to take down Marc Cucurella who have been outstanding tonight at the bridge, he often carry out this particular action always. I don't blame Hansi Flick or the players because they're playing against World champions, what more do you expect from Barcelona? A defeat was okay for them because they weren't determined to win the game. Alot happen but Chelsea stand out as the existing champ of the game tonight, all 3 solid ponts goes to Chelsea.

What was Pep Guardiola thinking when he made 10 changes from his first 11 that has been winning him matches. I will say this is a complete underrating of the Bayer Leverkusen team and we all know that in football when you underrate your opponents you stand a chance of being punished and Pep Guardiola just learnt that tonight. Your team lost during the weekend and decided to punish them by keeping almost the entire team on bench and fielding players that haven't played together for a long time simply because you are playing Bayer Leverkusen. I just believe that pep purposely lost this match.

I was seeing the players that were coming into the field and I was confuse one moment, what was he thinking from the beginning? Why bench Doku and bench Haaland or probably he thought because Leverkuen doesn't stand a good chance in the table, they are going to use them as a bonus point and then reserve his favorite staters in the game but it backfired. I'm not sure if playing at home is now a hindsight for a team to do well in the league, it's not working anymore.

It's highly disappointing how Gurdiola is buried and no more in the shinning light. There use to be time when teams used to be afraid of them. Leverkuen isn't bad but with this their best form, they don't stand a place with Manchester United of 2 years ago, they don't take chance in places like this unless it's knockout stage, semi final or final stage, they are ridicule right in their own house not 1 goal but 2 goals to nill, lmao!

Chelsea happened to be the only English side to have won the  champions league fixture today, their performance I must confess was really brilliant, it was ofcourse a deserving victory, they had all their goals before the red card so we cannot blame Barcelonas loss on the red card, they could not do the much that was expected of them, again London proved they are the world's champions.

How will one confidently type rubbish in the name of making a post. If you didn't watch the match, don't type with such an audacity. Why did you say Chelsea scored all the 3 goals before Barcelona got a red card. Who told you that or where di you watch it.

I'm really curious about how Arsenal Vs Bayern will go. Both teams are performing exceptionally well this season so far. Both of them are pretty safe when it comes to securing advancement to the next stage of UCL, so they might be tempted to rest some of their first squad players rather than approach that game at 100%. It still should be interesting, though.

Chelsea defeating Barca isn't something so surprising to me. Just that the goal line is just too much and this come with a goalless win for Chelsea. Both have been playing equally for the past years. Checking through their H2H since 2006 where they had played 10 matches, they had6 draws with 2 home wins for Chelsea and 2 wins (1 home and 1 away win) for Barca. So if Chelsea won this, it isn't a big surprise. The most shocking one here for me is Man city who had failed to secure a goal at home against Leverkusen. Even though Leverkusen will win, atleast I'm expecting Man city to atleast have a goal in this match as they are playing at home.

Barcelona will no longer try to increase their score by playing defensively. In this Champions League format, scoring as many goals as conceding them is equally important. To maintain their advantage over other teams, Barcelona needs to concede as few goals as possible and lose the match. Therefore, they are trying to play strong defense to ward off Chelsea's attacks.

I knew that was all their plan when they brought in Rashford instead of a defensive midfielder or a new defender.. Now that they’ve conceded two more goals, substituted Fermin Lopez and brought in Christensen which they should have done earlier especially after the second goal.
I just hope they won’t get extra +1 or +2 before the game ends.. poor Barcelona   ..

I don't think anything would have changed we totally dominated that game, I'm wondering how many shots on targets they got, my team needs to be more clinical we wasted so many chances and the fans are well aware, thank God we were able to halt every potential attacking threat to keep a clean sheet, Barcelona fans deep down knew they were lucky not to suffer from more goals and they have no one to blame, the Officials were well enough in their favor tonight.

Today is one of them days where the bookies have got all of it in the bag, lots and lots of loses with this kind of results. There isn’t a chance we would have seen this Barcelona team that have been so hostile towards a several teams in their fixtures come down here to London and couldn’t even get a goal and most of all a draw from this Chelsea side, it’s terrific. Despite the fact that, Chelsea had several goals called off due to offside, they still managed to get 3 goals in to the humiliation of Barcelona.

Manchester City was another thing, a lot was just wrong in this game!

I was surprised by the performance of Manchester City, they lost so badly at home that they lost not to strong teams but to normal teams. The gamblers lost a lot of money, because almost every gambler had bet on Manchester City. City could not win against Leverkusen, but here I was surprised by their poor performance this season. But I want to say that Manchester City must be given importance this season, otherwise they will gradually go down in the points table.

Damn Barca was unable to break through Chelsea's goal, and the most embarrassing was the match between Man City vs Leverkusen LOL I laughed seeing the result 0-2 Man City, who was quite respected, had to be embarrassed because they lost at home and their opponent was not that great, Man City has been very bad lately

Leverkusen dealt with Manchester City in a Champions league game, sometimes the unimaginable happen and everyone is left in WOW, is it Guardiola that is finished with the club and should be changed or the players not performing.

It is a surprise to see teams that are losing today, the unexpected happened today, maybe PSV will win Liverpool, since teams from PL are underperforming when they should be the ones dominating.

Barcelona is not yet a finished team for Chelsea to defeat them with the goal margin if not for the red card that happened just before the halftime. The red card affected Barcelona in the game but it gave Chelsea an edge over them they utilized the space well and punished Barcelona very well by scoring 2 goals in the second half, no need to call you the coach they were not expecting the red card it killed the morale of the Barcelona players but that's the game for you.

Newcastle United is one team that's doing their own thing slowly and precisely, they are currently leading Marseille in France with a 1 - 0 score and if eventually they manage to win this, it will be their 4th win after 5 matches with their only loss coming at the hands of Barcelona. They are currently among the top 8 teams in standings, this means if they end here, they stand the chance of getting an automatic qualification. I think I'm kind of impressed with them, they don't get the kind of attention other teams are getting and I think it's good so they can be focused in trying to finish in the top 8.

The pressure on the team isn't the same as other teams. This allows Newcastle United to play more comfortably. Because of the high expectations placed on Barcelona and other top teams, they can struggle to cope with the stress and drop points. However, from what we've seen so far, Newcastle United is continuing very successfully. They have a high probability of finishing among the top eight teams in the league.

After supporting Newcastle and feeling as if they were going to win the match and boom Marseille had a different plan in place for them. That comeback was needed for them to boost themselves, at least the 3 points has made them to move up the ladder to 19th position. I felt that Newcastle had the game under control even though I wasn't watching that very game but for them to hold Marseille at home and was even leading showed they were in control but the second half changed everything with the Gabonese star being the center of the comeback for his team.

Maybe you didn't noticed that before Araújo was carded Chelsea had already mounted presssure on Barcelona, they attacked more and even scored before their player was carded so the red card shouldn't be an excuse for being defeated, Chelsea played better and deserved the victory, whether Barcelona was booked or not, let's not deny thar Chelsea outsmarted them, made them commit several errors hence the red card.

 Anyways I'm so happy about three things they happened in that match, Chelsea turning Barcelona into a defensive side, Cucurella pocked Yamal and made him look weak, Chelsea kept a cleanshit. I really didn't expect such from Chelsea and I'm really impressed with Enzo Maresca, he kept to his words when he said that Chelsea would attack Barcelona.
