Chelsea beat Barcelona and secured their third victory in the Champions League. Chelsea took the lead in the first half with an own goal by Kounde and played more comfortably after Araujo was shown a red card. They started the second half quickly and took a 2-0 lead with a goal from Estevao. The decisive goal was scored by Liam Delap. I knew Chelsea wouldn't lose this match, but Araujo's red card prevented Barcelona from turning the game around, even though they were perhaps already defeated. With this defeat, Barcelona suffered their second loss in the Champions League.

Sometimes the match results are far from predicted, that's football. Barcelona was unlucky. Clearly, the red card became a major obstacle for Hansi Flick team to turn the tide or at least equalize, and Chelsea managed to utilize the situation well. I think if Chelsea attackers had played more clinically, perhaps Barcelona would have lost by a larger score.

Nevertheless, Hansi Flick still has a chance to guide his team to the Round of 16. The three remaining matches against Eintracht Frankfurt, Slavia Prague, and Copenhagen seem easier for Barcelona to win. If Barcelona manages to secure full points in every match, they might have a chance to finish in the top eight of the League Phase standings. Barcelona journey will be much more difficult if they have to go through the play off round, while Chelsea is now starting to feel a bit more comfortable with their path.

If it were xabis Leverkusen, I could say there is possible chance for them but the current Leverkusen against the current Manchester City is like two worlds apart, Leverkusen should just try not to concede too many goals, Manchester City in their previous game has shown so much form and resilience even with the little struggle they had at some point, but Leverkusen do not seem to me like they will contend better but then Manchester City should not take them for granted either.

Manchester City is a very different team when they play in the premier league and when they play in the champion league, they tend to play best in the premier league now than the champions league. It seems that their focus is moving from the champions league to the domestic league where they’ll want to dominate and fight for the league title. Yesterday’s loss was really a shocking one to them and I hope they get to play better in the coming games, or they’ll risk being eliminated from the champions league.

Chelsea were ahead even before Araujo received a red card. Therefore, it's wrong to assume Chelsea earned three points because of the red card. Of course, Barcelona's game fell apart after the red card, but Chelsea were playing very well in this match. It's safe to say Barcelona barely had any chances. It is really a big game for both teams, no manager will want to mess the squad by using players that isn't fit, more games ahead for him as soon as he recovers completely.
If he has to play he probably not be as fit as he has being known for in previous games but somehow his presence in the game would create an impression on the Barcelona side due to the quality that he is, which is an advantage for Chelsea in a way. Some coaches as a result of the importance of a player in a particular game they might try to risk filling in to play but may not be full time, but about Palmer's maybe Maresca may not want to risk him since they still have another important strong game in the EPL against Arsenal.

and to think that even without Palmer they managed to, win an incredible match, this Barcelona, even superior if we want in quality, was not able to, compete with them and this was seen, they lost with a resounding 3-0, this is football and it is beautiful like this

Quite astonishing, though a beautiful display from the English team, it seems like Chelsea is beginning to develop a skill on how to better face bigger opponents or how to manage big situations, we saw that with PSG at the Club World Cup in the US, and now against Barcelona. Chelsea did a wonderful job in containing Barcelona by not allowing their midfield to function and also stoping their talisman, Lamine yamal who is the danger man, indeed they got a well deserved win.

A lot of people do underestimate the Nigerian striker more often, I don't know if it's due to fact that he hasn't played for a bigger outfit, but for me Victor Osimhen is a world class striker and his absent would always be noticed whenever he is not available for the team and that's what's exactly what the Galatasaray side experienced last night in the champions league, besides, we have seen how proactive he was in the previous games for Galatasaray before he got injured.

I'm not one of them man who do this. Galatasaray have played literally five games in the Champions League competition and Victor Osimhen has played four fixtures likewise scoring four goals. Being injured and absent has shown how important he is to them not just to them, we all saw how he was substituted during the international break and Nigeria national football couldn't find themselves attacking properly. Hopefully he returns back soon enough. We want him ready for the African Cup of Nations.

Several years ago in Barcelona there was this wonderful player from Cameroon who was very good in scoring goals, he scored so many goals for the club but he was disgracefully sent out of the club because he wasn't valued yet his replacement at that period couldn't do half of what he did when he was in the team, I don't want to narrow it down to racial sentiment but some african footballers are being underestimated and I don't think I find this funny.

The win isn’t by luck, they are the better team in that match yesterday because the lineup Pep Gardiola set up with showed that he underrated Leverkusen, he never expected them to win away from home against the set up he did and they surprised him in that match by defeating him 2-0. Even when Pep Guardiola decide to bring his players in the second half, they couldn’t help because it was too late and Leverkusen were already defending their goals because the three points is very important to them as they will have more confidence in the Champions League since they now have eight points and in the 13th position above Barcelona.

I believe you are talking about Mr Eto, indeed he was a talent although I don't know how his journey ended with Barcelona but I can attest for the talent that he possed, he was very good with the ball at his feet and also with his finishing powers. I believe he was part of the Barcelona squad that won then time Manchester United who were the elite of all teams at that particular time but with Eto and his counter part at the front line of attack United were no match to them.

This will be the biggest game for tonight and it will definitely be a game Arsenal will see as a revenge because Bayern has been a nighmare for the Gunners, always winning with a bigger margin since the time of Arsene Wenger till date. I honestly don't know what to expect in this game today because both teams are doing well at moment, although if we are to compare both teams in terms of performance so far this season i would say that Bayern Munich is slightly better than Arsenal but for the fact that Arsenal has home advantage I can't really see Bayern winning this one, this is going to be a tight match up and I can't decide on anything yet

I really don't understand because you have to insinuate that Eto'o left Barcelona because he was African. He left Barcelona because he never got along with Guardiola, and neither of them are easy people to deal with so of course they clashed. The following year the same exact thing happened with Eto'o's replacement, Ibrahimovic who, as you probably know, is not African at all. And Eto'o ended up winning the treble with Inter, so he simply moved from an important club to another. I don't think Eto'o has ever been underestimated.

I think if anyone should be blame for Barcelona lost yesterday it should be hansi flick because I don't understand why Ferran Torres should be started while Raphinha is benched, although I know Raphinha just got back from injury and he wasn't supposed to play 90 minute,but raphinha should have started that first half instead of ferran Torres inwhich Raphinha will give a more fighting power in the first half. I think also starting Lewandowski isn't necessary because why will Rashford be benched, I think what motivated Hansi flick in using the formation he used yesterday was his match against Athletic Bilbao but he forgot that he was playing Chelsea who are second on the Premier League table, and for  Araujo I don't think he should be blamed also,because since from last season, whenever we meet with almost all of our big games he will either give away penalty to the opponent or caused us have a red card,moreover the Christensen should have started the match instead of Araujo, so all the blames should be on Hansi flick.
