In terms of performance, Arsenal this season have been better than they were last season so it's safe to say that they pose much better threat to win the UEFA Champions League this season than they did last season that they reached the semi finals after convincingly beating Real Madrid in a two-legged quarter final tie. Honestly this season Arsenal has been doing far better than last season, and that’s why a lot of people’s hope for them to win the UEFA Champions and the premier this season and with their current performances if they can keep it up they will have higher chances of win the leagues this season.

Failing to defeat Liverpool both home and away has nothing to do with what's going on in the Champion's league. The odds are changing very often I guess. Because I remember one time their odds being the same and another time in which Arsenal were more favoured. 

Liverpool managed to beat Inter away earlier. They were the better performer at the same time. I think Arsenal can also do so but it depends on one thing. Will they play with their full lineup or rotation? We will see about that.

Arsenal was able to beat Real Madrid not because they were great, but because Real Madrid was very poor last season. Real Madrid wasn't in top form especially since they suffered many injuries. I mean don't judge Arsenal last season. Arsenal were good last season but Arsenal is much better this season. They are the only undefeated team in the league. They also defeated Bayern Munich convincingly even though Bayern Munich was in their best form this season under Kompany.

It may not appear realistic for Arsenal in winning the UCL when compared to their odds of grabbing the EPL . However, there are season when some teams do the unbelievable, and I recall Manchester city winning the UCL for the first time along with the EPL. Manchester City finally managed to win the Champions League after many unsuccessful attempts and billions spent on expensive players, similar to PSG.
