What Mbappe is doing in terms of ammount of goals is majestic, but aside of that i feel like is not so relevant like it was Cristiano when he was in Real Madrid for example.

That's because Liverpool realize their chances in the EPL and UCL are different, chasing Arsenal clearly with their current quality is not enough and the difference in points is quite large. While in the Champion League there is still hope that can be fought for, that's why Liverpool are a little better than their performance in the EPL. Focusing on both competitions is definitely risky so Arne Slot is more targeting the Champion League for this season.

If they finish in the top eight in the Champions League, things will be a little easier for them because they'll play two matches against the team they'll face. In the Champions League, Liverpool still looks pretty good with 4 wins and 2 losses. At least they are in a pretty good position. And it's very different from what we see in the Premier League. Liverpool seems to be struggling here. Suffering 6 losses is definitely not a good thing for a big team like Liverpool.
However, Arne Slot might be able to turn things around for Liverpool, albeit slowly. You already got your answer from your second paragraph. It's hard to predict about the top score because their chances is tied to how far their team can go in the competition. Assuming the respective team of these three contenders can go as far as possible, I will rule out Galatasary player (Osimhen) and the battle will be between Real Madrid (Mbappe) and Manchester City (Haaland). In this scenario Haaland stand a better chance than Mbappe at the moment judging from the current form of both teams. Haaland find it easy to score because his teammates are always ready to feed him to score but Mbappe will have to work for it himself to score and the rivalry between him and Vini lower his chances too. And by the way, Raphinha that top the table last season is no where to be found this season.

Those 2 players were something else entirely, I mean Ronaldo and Messi, what really brought their 2 to a different dimension and separated them from the rest of the players in history was their healthy rivalry. While Ronaldo was still at EPL and Messi at La Liga, it was already debatable and it became even stronger after Ronaldo was signed by Real Madrid, the rivalry went to the roof top. And week in week out, they were constantly performing at the highest levels, if Real Madrid plays before Barcelona and Ronaldo happens to score 3 goals, it's very likely that when Barcelona plays the next day, Messi will also score his own. This for me was a healthy competition and both players helped push themselves to be better. That Ronaldo and Messi thing for me, cannot be replicated anytime soon.
