So if not for penalties, both teams wouldn't have found the back of the net and the game would have ended goalless, Arsenal were busy looking for another penalty, lol. I watched the game but yesterday's match performance has outshine all of todays game. With this result, next week Tuesday, I hope both teams brings out their best as they fight for who will qualify first for the finals. A fight to finish next week at the Emirates as only one team will make it through. I just hope not to see a repeat of what happened in the Arsenal Vs Sporting game at the Emirates.

Expected result. Atletico played so badly during the first half. However, i guess it's a a part of simeone's strategy to play calmly at the first half. So he was going all out at the 2nd half after all of Arsenal players face fatigue. Howeverit's not going well like he already planned.

I thought will be kicking themselves for not scoring during the second half. they had tons of chances but theri strikers have been so shite because of their strikers unable to capitalse their chance. Yet one goal is better than nothing.

As the result, they get a tie, which is giving Arsenal big advantage for the 2nd leg. I admit Arsenal were overall more composed on the ball especially in defending for both of halves compared to them.

Nevertheless, the game in london is gonna be much more stressful for Arsenal caused by we know Atletico may play differently there.

Yes,, it's truly a shame that Atletico Madrid couldn't win this match. If Atletico Madrid wanted to be more calm in the upcoming second leg, they should have won this match. But in conditions like this, I think Atletico Madrid really need to play better in the upcoming second leg. Because, as we know, in the second leg,, Arsenal will be the host, and that will clearly be an advantage for Arsenal.

So, because of that,, I think the second leg will most likely be dominated by Arsenal. But I also don't know for sure how the match will turn out in the second leg. As expected, it was less exciting and somehow boring to watch if we are going to be comparing it to the other semi finals between PSG vs Bayern munich team. I said it that this two team will be playing too cautiously and because of that, we are not going to see much goals, and as expected, they didn't disappoint. Though I was a bit frustrated with atletico and the way Diego Someone sets out his team because I believe that they have so much to offer going forward, but since they are too defensive minded, they can't just attack freely when they should be attacking.

In the reverse fixtures at the emirate stadium, let's all be expecting a draw that may eventually leads to penalty because both teams are just too defensive and boring at the same time, but it's still an open game that can be won by any of them.

When you think about it, Atlético Madrid actually has players who are quite capable of playing a more attacking style as well. however, Diego Simeone doesn’t seem to have much confidence in this team. as a result, he prefers a strategy that prioritizes defense and only attacks when there’s a truly good opportunity. We have to admit that the strategy used by Atlético Madrid has even succeeded in eliminating Barcelona. But I think this strategy won’t be effective against opponents like PSG or Bayern if the team makes it to the final. Maybe Diego Simeone has another plan if they reach the final.

It was a very poor game from both teams, I was expecting the terrible football that both teams was playing, I always knew it wasn’t going to be a very good game, Arsenal on their own are a defensive team likewise  Athletico Madrid is also a defensive team, so I wasn’t really expecting them to go for the game at all, when you see a game that both teams are scoring from a a penalty then you will understand that the game is obviously a bad and less exciting game, Arsenal I think have an advantage in this game because they will be playing at home in their next game, so anything can happen at the Emirates, because as we all know football is sometimes very unpredictable.

And Arsenal is under a lot off pressure to perform their best both in the EPL and UCL, no time for rest and all. If they could afford to have a draw or a loss in the EPL, they would've rested some of their key players, but no time for that, that means, it's double the work for the team. I know that the game will end draw because of the way both teams play, both teams know how to defend well and they are not a team like PSG and Bayern Munich and we can see that after Arsenal score the opening goal they sit back and wanted to defend well until they commit a penalty, although Arsenal wanted to get a win but Atletico Madrid defend well and make sure they get a draw, the game is 50/50 because Arsenal dominate the first half and Atletico Madrid also dominated the second half of the game.

Arsenal should be proud of the draw because they are going to play the second leg of the game at Emirates Stadium and that will be a good advantage for them to win and qualify for the final, Arsenal is still the favourite to go to the final but they should not underestimate Atletico Madrid because that team is very strong and they are ready to do anything to get into the final of the Champions League.

 This is yet another game Arsenal have gone unbeaten. To be honest, I never expected it to be filled with so much intrigue and drama because these are sides that can give you boring football if care is not taken. At some point in the game I thought Atletico Madrid will be the team to snatch a win and break the Gunner's unbeaten run after the likes of Griezmann and Alvarez and even Molina came close to upsetting the balance but the post and Raya's quick thinking helped make it end in a stalemate.
 Atletico Madrid came ready for their visitors and had it been it was their goal that came first, I doubt it that the Gunners will have come back because the defense would have been locked solid, and the pressure would increase. I've noticed that Arsenal do not know how to handle that much pressure and if you know where to hit as an opponent, you'd easily break their defense.
 Next week at the Emirates, we'll see if they can defend their house and make it the end of the road for Diego Simeone and his boys or it will be a repeat of Europa 2018.

That one point means a lot to us. If we were in Arsenal’s position, we wouldn’t be too concerned about their performance—which some might find boring—as long as the goal is achieved, and that goal is securing points. Since they managed to earn one point, the chances of winning in front of the Emirates crowd are very good and worth holding onto as a hope.

Both teams are playing out real good but so far in this quarter of an hour played, Bayern Munich is the team with more of the ball. Attacking play from both teams whenever they get the ball into their possession. I still can't figure out the favourites among both teams in this  semi final. PSG on their own is a very good and solid side, same thing applicable to Bayern Munich as well. I don't know what to predict here that's why I'm watching this match with an open mind, which ever side wins today and possibly next week on overall will qualify for the finals. Right now both teams are respecting each other because they both know they are deadly when given little opportunity.

Very good match, i didn't expect at this point where everyone or almost everyone was thinking of a Bayer Monaco victory, underestimating PSG.

It's surprising that you don't say "Atletico Madrid managed to draw the match" because Arsenal actually scored the opening goal in this semi final. After that, Atletico Madrid tried a lot for scoring a goal and they got it with a penalty, a 10th goal in UEFA Champions League this season for Julian Alavarez. This goal helped Julian becoming a first player of the club in history managing to score 10 goals in one Champions League season. This striker grew his skills and career a lot since World Cup 2022 and he will be one of key players for Argentina in World Cup 2026.

Atletico Madrid actually created some other opportunities and had dangerous shots to win this match but they did not score any other goals. One point in this match is quite fair result for both clubs, and it makes the second match between them in London more exciting. Arsenal did not actually play a bad match in Metropolitano stadium, and they truly challenged the host in this match.

The match I watched last night gave me two insights: that Arsenal play the ball well but don’t make much of it and don’t create many chances, so they just keep possession, and that Atlético Madrid never give an inch and defend very compactly and it is a team that knows how suffer.
I saw that Griezmann and Ademola Lookman missed some easy chances and hit the crossbar at least three times, and from what I saw, it wouldn’t have been a shock if Atléti had won. Arsenal played less well despite having high rate of ball possession.

At one night we watched 9 goals and the other night it was only 2 goals.    But I'm not surprised with that. There wasn't a big goal potential in the Atletico Madrid - Arsenal game anyway...

I still think the same about one thing. No matter who wins that matchup, I don't expect them to beat PSG or Bayern Munich in the finale. Their only chance would be by defending with all they have but even that wouldn't be enough in my opinion.
