On Tuesday we will know which of the two will win and move forward. With the first leg ending 1 - 1 everything is still open for me, we can't say anything until they play the second leg, that's how it works in this type of match, especially with that first leg score. i just hope it doesn't end in penalties.

If I were to make a selection among those two clubs, I will prefer to see Arsenal win this game for so many reasons to mention but a few. In as much as overall Football can never be played individually I think there have been very good cases where a single player has actually go on to help his club win a game due to his individual brilliance. This has happened multiple times in this particular competition already. My example will be that of Cristiano Ronaldo been the point of difference in many Champions league football and he won his club multiple games in those period. They were also time to which Grizeman was the focal point of Atletico De Madrid winning any games.

But the real question is do this current players have that capability of been the difference between their team and another team, Julian Alvarez is an excellent of a player but sincerely he doesn’t actually takes that role in fact I don’t see any current playing football player having that charisma that the Messi and Ronaldo had then that made them the difference

From my point of view, Atlético Madrid vs Arsenal match wasn’t boring because it showcased two different approaches to the game. We saw Atlético Madrid’s compactness in defence and on the counter-attack, looking to catch the opposition off-guard on the flanks, and Arsenal’s superb technique with a intricate passing game, hoping to find a space and strike. The reality is that the two managers understand each other and know each other well, so they implemented tactical systems designed to neutralise one another.

I am surprised that you are saying this because if you had watched the Bayern Munich vs PSG game, you will not need a seer to know that both teams were boring on the night.
Sometimes it's not just about goals, it's more about how both teams plays, the arsenal vs atletico madrid game was no where near as exciting as the Bayern munich and PSG game because both teams are too conscious of their goal post, which was the reason the game was boring. I am not expecting anything to change in the reverse fixtures because no team is ahead for now, so let's not be surprised if this game eventually goes to penalty shootout.

Yes,, it's certain that any team won't be able to win a match relying solely on one player. Because football is a sport that places great importance on and prioritizes good teamwork. Because without good teamwork,, the team will definitely lose, even if it has many star players. So,, this is something that shouldn't be misunderstood. But watching that game closely, I think Bayern were punished for the little mistakes they did but tried to make amends quite late and cut the 2goal gap from 2 to 1.. and in the second leg, if they score first then the counter gets reset and it's anybody's game from here on.. and I still believe the German champs can overturn this with a high scoring game  

For Arsenal, I think these boys have renewed energy in them and just playing differently, but Athletico are just a different team and the Gunners will learn this lesson the hard way!!

That first match between PSG and Bayern Munich is crazy and it's not coincident or arbitrary saying it's a most exciting match in UEFA Champions League history. Such match is really hard to occur again as it requires many things converge at the same time, like two teams are really strong, very good with attacks but more conditions like their players just turn to be almost perfect with nearly 100% successful rates with their shots, and they got many good attacking moments for scoring goals too.

In the second match between them, I believe there will be no similar 9-goal match as both PSG and Bayern Munich will never want to fall into such situation again. Likely in Munich, Bayern Munich will aim at beating PSG with any result in 90 minutes and see how the match goes next.

Arsenal did played well in Madrid and they returned to London with confidence that they can beat Atletico Madrid there. In the weekend, a big win against Fullham is like a fuel for Arsenal's coming semi final match in Champions League. After some bad matches, they played well in Madrid and the big win against Fullham is like a strong wakeup of Arsenal. It can have extra positive effects on their players in the semi final match with the Spanish club, as they really need scoring goals to beat this opponent.

I’m also backing Nottingham; I would have predicted a Freiburg win, but they played really poorly in their match against Braga. Aston Villa look tired and stretched to me too, whereas for Nottingham, this is their only chance of qualifying for next year’s European competitions, so they will really be giving it their all. They are safe in premier league and have clearly put all their strenght in the european competition.

Real Madrid in two latest seasons since the appearance of Mbappe, and a high ego version of Vinicius Jr. began no longer perform as an united team, that actually affected their general performances especially in matches with big clubs and strong opponents. Bayern Munich and PSG in contrast are very united and it's harder to beat such not only strong but also united teams like them.

It's interesting that they have to face with each other in semi finals, eliminate each other for going to the final match. Their first leg match is very exciting, super high quality and shows that it's hard to predict the winner before their second leg match ends. One thing about these lower level teams in the English premier league is that they are too unpredictable, so you can't be too confident on any of them at all, just look at how Nottingham Forest won the first leg against Aston Villa, which I never saw coming, and if Aston Villa are not careful enough, they might be knocked out by this Nottingham Forest team that is battling relegation, that are not that good. So at this moment we can never be too sure on how the game might play out because it's still an open game that can be won or lost by any of them, because a one nil lead can be easily overturned by Aston Villa if they can stepped up to the occasion and deliver a resounding performance that is expected of them.

That guy is amazing with accuracy of his shots especially shots from far distance. It is not limited to free kicks as Julian Alvarez can make very powerful and accurate distant finishes like shoot-on-the-run shots or first-touch shots. With a striker like Julian, it's hard to control him as he does not play in the box but outside the box, he is still able to make powerful, accurate and dangerous shots that can be goals anytime.

With a draw result from the first match, both Arsenal and Atletico Madrid only need to score winning goals and have a ticket to the final match. With their performances in the first match, likely the second match between them will not have many goals and strikers like Julian Alvarez or Gyokeres might decide this match result with only one goal.

My biggest worry is elsewhere. Arsenal are really stupid when the opposition defend compactly in their own box. In such situation they are good with the ball at their feet. However they lack the creativity or quickness needed to break down a compact defence like Atletico

I understand that they have the advantage of home possession in second leg. But high pressing and tiki taka won't work. They need to have a solid plan B. It could be a direct attack or a set piece or a major change in the forward line. If the usual tactic do not work Arteta will need to show his tactical flexibility so that he can change their tactics mid match and win
