Atletico is playing a defensive game while, Arsenal is doing all the playing but Arsenal hasn't been able to create a good chance to find the back of the net. Of course, if Arsenal don't utilize their goal opportunities, it's going to bounce back on them because no chance should be wasted.

And Arsenal just cracked it right before the end of the first half. I saw this goal coming, because it was obvious that Simeone came to play a defensive first half while relying on counter. It was a very tight defensive play from Atletico Madrid, but the defenders eventually slipped off when they shouldn't. And the Arsenal's defense on the other hand has really made things so tough for Simeone tonight. I honestly doubt if they're going to get a goal, because they don't even look like a team that wants to score... Or wait a minute, are they hoping to run the game down to penalty?, well I don't think Arsenal would want that.

I'm looking forward to a very interesting second half of the game. Arsenal's recent attempt to create more chances is now paying off, and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the second half.

It’s almost halftime already and none of them have scored, that’s close to a goalless first half but yes I expected this from this game..it’s Arsenal against Atletico Madrid so.

But it’d really be bad for Arsenal if they draw tonight’s game even after extra time because if this games later ends up in the penalty shootout then I think Atletico would probably grab the ticket to Budapest..

A very diabolical goal, honestly after that deflection from the Athletico Madrid defender, I didn't think Saka will find his way in. I don't know what will happen in the second half but this first half was the chance Athletico Madrid had to take advantage, especially during the half mark period of the first half, but the problem is that Lookman isn't playing as well as he did in the Barcelona match, hoping he would have been dominant since he is being paired with Ben White.

One of the dumbest thing Arsenal could do tonight is to waste chances and so far they are on that path , I hope they don't regret it  in the next 80 mins .
Athletico are so dangerous  when it comes  to counter attacks,  giving them the chance to score a single goal will ruin alot for Arsenal .
Whoever wins , is still weak to play against Bayern or PSG anyways even considering it as finals.

Arsenal will qualify to the final from what i have watched in the first half they are playing better, Atletico Madrid is playing more defence and they are not creating a better chance to score, Arsenal is already leading the game with 1-0 this means that the game with get more interesting in the second half because right now Atletico Madrid will all come out to play the game since they will get eliminated if Arsenal wins the game.

This game is so dramatic, I can see none of them is willing to give any chance to be attacked, Atletico Madrid were pushing really hard and are defending well, but Arsenal’s counter attack don’t seems to be dangerous like theirs but they were very lucky with consistency to get a rebound by Bukayo Saka.

Gyokeress is doing his job perfectly well, he is holding up to the ball and has created a big chance which Trossard has played the situation at the right time and the start boy make the difference.
I will be expecting more goals in the second half because Atletico will no longer stay behind, they will attack which make their defense open for more goals.

Athletico isn't playing like they came to win, it's more like they were targeting to play penalties. I'm glad Arsenal has brought the game alive with a goal, if not for anything, the second half would be more interesting as Athletico would be trying their best to come back in this game. Arsenal actually surprised me today, I was not expecting them to dominate the match like they did. The second half will surely be more interesting, let's see who makes it to the finals.

I don't think Arsenal will change their game plan. If they continue playing like this, Atletico Madrid will inevitably leave gaps in their defense. They need to score and at least secure a draw. Therefore, it's time for Atletico Madrid to take risks. This risk could also lead to Arsenal scoring more goals. Arsenal dominated the first half and signaled their potential to score even more.

Arsenal has done it this first half. As expected, the match can also be said to be boring. At a time I felt like sleeping until Arsenal got a goal. It doesn't mean that the match is so so boring, but when you compare it with the PSG - Bayern Munich fixture, you can say it is boring.

Arsenal is leading now and there is still an opportunity for ATM in the second half. But this will be a low scoring match, so getting a come back is not something that will be easy. This match might end this way or just only 1 more goal will be scored till the end of the match.

I will like to see how tactical Simeone will be tonight since the match is already against him. The clock is ticking so fast, let's see how Arteta will do this.

Maybe the goal from Bukayo Saka will force Atletico Madrid to come out and play this game. They are playing defensively and waiting for counterattack. But it seems Arsenal have a solid defence that has stopped them from their fast runs. The visitors just have one shot and it was not on target. Maybe they want the match to get to extra time and move to a penalty shootout. Now we might see the visitors come out in full force to attack because they need a goal to level up. It's now the end of the half-time, there are still another 45minutes to determine the winner.

Defensive gameplay isn't really a style of play that fits Arsenal, coz they really suck at it .. I dont doubt the possibility of a comeback from ATM even though they haven't really been having much possession of the ball, and that's the market reason why Arsenal should just strive to solidify their lead by increasing their goals even more since they are at more advantage, considering how they have been in possession all through the first half... Gyökeres is on fire, I too love that guy. Just see how he was calm even when the goal keeper rushed towards him...

Tha march was quite impressive and there were great performances from both the Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, Arsenal are playing as expected and they are really showing us indirectly that, they are heading to the final if the second half favour them, Atletico Madrid players are weak in pushing thier game to where necessary, thier attackers are exursted within short period of the beginning of the match,but I hope they would gain thier confidence at the second half.

I see this game with Athletico Madrid equalizing anytime soon  but the funny thing about football is after all the attacks ATM will push through the Arsenal defense, they will squander then until towards the 70+ minutes, Arsenal will increase the lead.

They are in very good shape defensively. Therefore, I expect them to protect the score and reach the final.

Atletico Madrid is always afraid whenever they meet Arsenal at the Emirate stadium and since Arsenal has scored one goal ahead, it is unlikely that what happened in the first leg will repeat itself. The statistics show clearly the dominance of Arsenal in the first half because from the shots on target, ball possession and corners are still in favor of Arsenal and if they play the second half in same spirit they will score more goals. Atletico Madrid will want to come out now instead of being defensive and that will even create a bigger problem for them. Let's forget the disappointments of Arsenal sometimes but that team is really playing a good football. Bukayo Saka has been very lively recently, it's good to see him at his best performance. Even though I’m on the opposite side from you, because I’ve chosen to believe that arsenal will win today’s match. however, I also understand that many will be rooting for Atlético Madrid. after all, they are a tough team, even though their style isn’t aggressive and they tend to play more defensively, relying on counterattacks. But so far, it’s precisely this strategy that has taken them to the semifinals and even allowed them to defeat Barcelona. still, I believe Arsenal is also in good form right now. Arteta and his team as the home side might play more aggressively than in the first leg. so I’m picking Arsenal as the team that will secure the win this time.

It's the first half-time win for Arsenal by one goal. The second half just started, let's see if Arsenal will hold on to the win, or let Atletico Madrid equalize the one goal scored before the end of the second half.
