As I understand it, the odds will not change anymore, since there are no more events this season. The last major change is Palmer's rise, but still, in terms of real chances, he is not a contender for the award:

Ousmane Dembele - 1.18

Lamine Yamal - 4.90

Raphinha - 16.66

Cole Palmer - 20.58

The odds will certainly move back and forth, but it's unlikely to be strong, there is no basis for serious movement. Do you think +18% on Dembele is easy money? Or maybe the situation with Vinnie will repeat itself, when he was at some point a favorite with odds of 1.4, but in the end lost.

When you see their performance profiles it is impossible for Vinicius Junior to win that award again regardless of whether Real Madrid blackmails the commitee or not. Considering the players' contributions to the teams' success, it's Raphiniha who can compete with Dembele, but not Vinicius Junior.

I wasn't looking for that, but I found that Vinicius Junior got 16 yellow and one red card last season, isn't that a hell of a lot for a striker? I don't think I have seen that many cards for a striker before. I never thought Vinicius Junior is a fair player. He is crying and debating too much and complaining far more than others. If you make a player like him a Ballon d’Or winner, it is not good.

Why don't you write that Rafinha should be Demdele's competitor (although in reality no, there are many more worthy ones, for example Mendes) and not Yamal? Are you also from the "he's only 17!" sect?
In any case, it doesn't matter anymore since Dembele will get the award. I still think it's worth taking these 18% or not. It seems like easy money.

PSG will go as far as they did with many top strikers in Europe but Barcelona will not be the same without Lamine Yamal. When Barcelona needed a hero in games that was almost lost everyone looked at the then seventeen year old Lamine Yamal and more time than not he delivered them.
It’s Yamal for me, Barcelona were so unlucky to have missed out on a place in the final, the match would have been a very big deciding factor in the Dembele and Yamal ballon d’Or rivalry.

The Ballon d'Or award shouldn't be determined by the UEFA Champions League.  But the sad reality is that it is the most important competition this year. The World Cup would have been another criterion, but there was none this year.

But why Lamine Yamal? Because going by his stats to that of his team mate Raphinha who had the highest goals and assists in all competitions last season it would be an error to have Yamine Lamal for the Ballon d'Or over Raphinha. It is good you made it very clear that Dembele is widely regarded over Lamine Yamal since he won the champions league trophy ahead of him. Any other criterion you would want to use to make Lamine Yamal a better candidate for this award would just be for your personal preference for him but not based on what he had performed this season. Ousmane Dembele is the right candidate for this award, I just hope he’s not reap off this award but he’s most deserving of it. He also made it to the finals of the FIFA club World Cup and was the talisman of the team just like he was in the champions league, he’s most deserving of it and shouldn’t be denied it.

I really like the list but I think the list focused on players performing in the Uefa champions league and in the leagues, I think Liverpool played well last season but if Mac Allister made it to the list then Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo should be on the list. Actually after looking at this top list for the Ballon d'Or, I wonder how Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior got in there and Liverpool's Mac Allister got in.These players may not have had any special contributions last season but they are still there, in fact no one may have considered these players initially but they will now compete for this award. You are right that if Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid and Mac Allister from Liverpool got a chance, then maybe Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea should have been there because that player has been able to win the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup for his team. Perhaps it is largely true that the number of players from French clubs nominated for this award is much higher.

if Ousmane Dembele ends up winning this years edition of the ballon d'or, it will be then that i will be certain that there is no longer any form of racisms in the way the determination of the winner of the award is being carried out if not, i will join those that believe that the award has lost it credibility to affirm same claim. in the era when vini jnr would have won the award, it was understandable on the ground that he was denied it, if there is still another irrelevant excuses that is cooked up as the reason why Ousmane Dembele should not be given this award, then it shows that it is just a selection that is done in a manner that is void of merit and the consideration of the most fit for the award.

You mean race asin physical appearance.. both the frontrunner and the likely second rival are blacks.. unless it given to another dude but I don't really think it's was all about  race in the first. It's definitely going to end up with Dembele  after his performance at the Club World club, another player which is also near is Vintiha, Lamine will probably have to wait for a next attempt but still depends on the votes

Yes from the look of things and the performances we saw last season Ousmane Dembele, is most favorite candidate for this nomination in our eyes but that may not reflect in the final result that will be announced because we've seen how they played politics with some of past award that didn't go the way most people thought, or generally how we view may not be how they decide their final winner.

For Player, I'd say Salah.

If Salah doesn't win the Ballon d'Or this year, I will know for sure that the game is rigged. I see that Dembele is the most likely candidate in the sportsbook but I still think Salah should be up there this time as the winner after a fantastic season.

For Manager, Luiz Enrique.

I'm a Liverpool fan and biased about Arne slot and the work he has done with this Liverpool team in only his first season. However, I recognize that Luiz Enrique has done philomenal work aft PSG such that the achieved what they couldn't achieve in years with players like Mbappe, Neymar and even Messi in their attack. Has to be him, without any doubt.

I'm also rooting for Luis Enrique,  I have always wanted him to win the Champions League Competition again after leaving Barcelona. He ticks all the boxes and I'm certain the judges and voters will definitely swing his way. Will his actions towards Jaoa Pedro after the CWC finals affect him? That is the only fear I have right now. Flowers to the other managers nominated in between. They all did a top top job.

Luis Enrique is no arguably the best manager this past season as he won all competitions and lost only the the finals of the club world cup this year it's clear no other manager performed the way that he did as he was spectacular with his team Luis Enrique deserves the coach of the year.



But am not too convinced about the performance of maresca because looking at Chelsea performance this last season there was little improvements that was done their road to conference league victory too was not that great as they were not that good plus they even struggled to make to the top four finish in Europe i will say their club world cup victory was the only thing that they were somehow good and even that one too was only in the finals so maresca is not the best coach to me

PSG deserves the recognition they have gotten in the award because last season was an amazing season for them and they took everyone by surprise the way they performed in the champions League competition right form the group stage to the finals they were just unstoppable. 9 players in the nomination list goes a long way to tell you the way the players were involved in the contribution of the teams success last season I hope they don't get disappointed when the final result will come out because a player from the PSG team deserves the award.

PSG having 9 names in the list is understandable because they actually played the best football last season. However, the disgraced they suffered from Chelsea in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup may be a factor to consider and make people doubt if PSG were that big of a champion. Assuming they won the FCWC, it would have been visible to the blind and audible to the def that PSG is a ably qualified champion. I still believe that someone from PSG will win it but it is really difficult to say who because Dembele and few others stand out.
