Real Madrid is likely to boycott this year ballon d’Or competition again this is a spill over about their annoyance with ballon d’Or on Rodri being the men’s best player of the year.
Looking at how the winners are being selected the committee is not to blame because winners are being voted for by journalists.

Real Madrid is just being sad for nothing but i wonder what could be their grievance this time around because from every angle, their players lack the merit to become the ballon d'Or winner. Last year, Vinicius Jr was quite close to winning it but there are a lot of criteria that determines who wins the ballon d'Or of which FIFA announced Rodri as the winner meaning that he met the criteria.

The odds are really pointing at Dembele to win the ballon d'Or but just as i stated earlier that there are many things that are being put into consideration before giving the prestigious awards so it's not only about the votes, if Dembele doesn't meet up with FIFA's audit he may not win it just like it happened to Vinicius Jr when we all thought he will be the potential ballon d'Or winner last year. Vitinha is also a very good choice for the ballon d'Or, Lamine Yamal should have been giving some consideration as well but i think he still have some works he needs to do.

It seems Real Madrid won't make the same mistake again. If they keep doing it, they'll only be hurting themselves, especially their star players. Florentino Perez surely realizes that last season, Real Madrid performed below standard, and you could say no star player managed to put on an impressive performance throughout the season in various important matches.

He's indeed one of the favorites but in this kind of awarding, anything can change depending on the judges. This is the dilemma for most awards like this because the people may have chosen their favorites but in the actual awarding, the judge's criteria will be the one calling the shots.
