Being too young or old in the Ballon d'Or race has nothing to do with the winner, Yamal is young but if he has the performance of deserving the award then it will be given to him. The result hasn't been shared but based on what we all watched Dembele is who we can 90% vouch to receive the award tonight.

If FIFA knows best, we know Raphinha should be equally competing along side Yamal for the award, if Dembele doesn't win tonight then it's not something new, results in the Ballon d'Or don't always go as majority would expect.

Of course If he deserves to win the award the he should be given the award. Yamal is one the youngest to be contending for the award and at this stage if he ends as a runner up then it's still a blessing for him at his age and also means that he is destined for greatness, he just needs to keep up the same performance and he will get even better as he gets older and gains experience.

I also had the thought that Raphina should equally be in the race but somehow he is being sidelined. He will be the one next to the two because he did well last season. I think Dembele deserves it and should win it but if he doesn't I won't be surprised at all because we have seen countless times how the award has been given to the less deserving.

If Barcelona had won the Champions League, Raphinha would certainly have had a chance to be chosen as the best in the world, but we would still have to see if it would be him or Yamal

Ballon d'Or top 10 as posted by Fabrizio Romano. Still wondering how 4 PSG players were able to make it to the top 10. But honestly, the four players namely Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Hakimi and Nuno Mendes really deserve the top 10 because this players have done exceptionally well in recent years and the most exciting display was in the Champions League games last season. Probably, this is a clear sign that the Ballon d'Or is going to PSG, because i will be surprised if after the 4 players appeared in the top 10 and none of them could win it. It's truly a great honor to see Kenan Yıldız here. He had a good season. Of course, it's not Ballon d'Or winning performance, but it's pretty good for his age. He became Juventus' youngest captain. If he continues to develop like this, he'll be around for a long time.

Ousmane Dembele has gotten most of the achievement that would qualify him to win the prestigious awards because winning the treble last season was a good boost for him in his football career but what if he doesn't win it as most people anticipated? will it trigger severe controversy?

Will this be the first time there would be controversy? Don't tell me you followed Ballon D'or very recently. Personally, I no longer rate Ballon D'or that high. These days it's just more about stats, popularity and marketing.

We don't see defenders or goalkeepers winning the accolade anymore. Sad times.

Donnarumma winning is deserving but thibaut Courtois still greater than all, individual brilliance is not the only requirement for the male Yachine award and for that reason no one deserves it other than Gianluigi  Donnaruma. I anticipate Courtois to win it next season, i expect the team to lift a trophy.

I still maintain that Dembele should be considered and be given the award due his individual contributions in helping PSG last season, despite that Yamal is also an incredible player and has his contributions to the Barcelona's team last season success but Dembele sit in a better position to consider this award.

DEMBELE is well deserving of the trophy and this time around, I’ll say they’re more transparent in the selection than they’ve done sometimes back. Dembele is the most deserving of the trophy once again I reiterate it because he has really earned a lot last season which Lamine Yamal performance cannot be on the same level as him. As for Yamal, I won’t be surprised that he’ll win it next season if he keeps this consistency. Congratulations to Ousmane Dembele, this is a milestone he has achieved at the peak of his career. It’s now official; Osman Dembele wins the 2025 Ballon D’or award.

Congratulations to him and the entire PSG squad because they emerge the best men’s team of the year, and Luis Enrique emerges the best Men Manager of the year which are all great achievements for the team despite the fact that they lost to Marseille tonight, this joy alone will cover that defeat even though they lost three points.

Not Yamal for me, but Raphinha. It should be either Dembele or Raphinha because last season his performance for Barcelona cannot be ignored. Lamal comes close, but considering his age, I feel he is still in line to win it in the future and not just once, but a couple of times.

If the award does not go to either of these players I have mentioned, then it is foul play to me, and I will no longer consider the award to be credible.

EDIT: Congratulations to Dembele, his move to PSG was a good one. If he remained in Barcelona, he may never have won it.

I guess there will still be a party for Lamine Yamal he won the Kopa trophy as the best Young men's player I believe this is the second time he is winning the trophy and definitely their is still more than enough opportunities for him to become the best player.
A very big congratulations to Dembele he joins the long list of French players to have won the away, he deserves it because he is a vital member of the PSG side that won several awards. I believe this award will be seen as a boost to those players with incredible potentials but hasn't yet fully show cased it. Dembele is a talented player but before last season he has some Rocky road but I am glad he pulled through.

This is a very well deserved award and I can say that ballon d'Or has done Nobel unlike some years back when they give it based on sentiment and favouritism. Dembele did so well last season with enough evidence to show. I was wondering why people were thinking that Lamine Yamal would win this award but no, it didn't go that way. This case of Dembele is a clear one and there's really no argument about it because right from when PSG won the Champions League, Ousmane Dembele was predicted by many to win the ballon d'Or even though he had a strong rival which is Lamine Yamal. I agree with you, Dembele performance last season was outstanding. This is an award well deserved. I'm glad he came to win it. There is no better way to acknowledge his profound contributions to the PSG team that saw them win several trophies than this award.

I wish the balloon d'or going forward would have some laid down processes on it's selection. I'm very much tired of their secret selection processes. They should stir more motivation among these footballers by telling them beforehand what they should do to get the trophy so that the selection process looks more neutral. Dembele was announced the winner very quickly.    They didn't even wait for some time to make it more exciting. Because it was already obvious to tell the truth.

Not only he had a great season but also he was the CL winner. This makes a huge impact on a player to step forward for this kind of prizes. Congrats to him!
