Success isn’t made in an instant, as it may take consistent failures first prior to hitting the goal of success. Now for example those who won on lottery betting may not be considered real success if it only passed through one or two losses, but if you mean to say you have been betting for almost 25 years and consistently losing, and surprisingly you hit the jackpot prize today, that’s a real story of success in gambling. It’s not just luck alone, but a combination of patience and determination to win as well.

We have different types of gambling successes stories, some are gamblers that recovered from addiction, some are gamblers that won very big after many years of loses and the one time lucky winners. The sweetest of them should be the instant jackpot winners,  those who are new to gambling that have never encountered loses before. But the irony is that most gamblers that won big big alway loses most or all of the money back to the casinos. Most gamblers are not successful on the long run that is why it is better to gamble for fun with small amounts.

There is no better success story for a gambler than to hear that after a long time without a lucky win there is finally a day to celebrate for a big win, to some gamblers they will decide not to celebrate because they will go back to gamble and they know that they will lose it all but for the person who has been addicted and has lost a lot of money without being lucky, that huge win that made him to say never again will I gamble will remain the biggest success story of his life. To some one who still takes the money after winning to gamble again there is nothing much to say but to the person who decides to stop after hitting the jackpot the success story will be long.

Could gamble success story be that betting has helped one to be free from a harmful addiction.  Some people might be addicted to hard drugs or alcohol, which is damaging their health. In some cases, they might replace such harmful behaviour with gambling. If they successfully stop the harmful behaviour because of their gambling engagements, it could be called a gambling success story. Nevertheless, addicts getting free and winning big could also be called success in gambling.

The other day I commented on the topic "What’s your real definition of a “win” in gambling?". It’s not a bad topic, if someone were interested and read the comments they would realize that there are a lot of different definitions and thoughts on this topic. Which is normal...

This is a similar topic, and these questions cannot be answered without considering the original question: What is your definition of winning at gambling? What is gambling for you at a given moment and how do you view it in the long run...

I don't wish to get rid of my gambling activities... It would be nice to hit the million-dollar jackpot and take my gambling activities to the next level. That would be something...

How about those who gamble for fun? What should they celebrate then and what would be their story of success? I think I would agree with OP, not getting addicted or not getting into serious problems are success in gambling. Additionally, helping someone to solve their gambling problems might be a success also. But measuring success with money is to simple and does not suit everyone. Even though I would be very happy to get a big win, that is not my goal in gambling. I cant share my story of success in gambling, because I've never won big, nor got into troubles.

I don't have any great success stories either, because I know how to limit myself during periods of losses so that they don't become bigger. In general, there was one story when I played a long time ago using the Martin-Gale strategy, at higher stakes than I usually did, and I was lucky to make x4 in roulette from my deposit. Of course, I was lucky, but I understand that this strategy is not the best, because at one point you can play and our deposit will not be enough to simply double the bet. In any case, this is one of my biggest wins. At the same time, I don't play slots that can have x10, x25, or x100, I just don't like them.

Don't expect that kind of story to be posted online. That would affect the winner's security if that happens.

I mean people will look for him, and those people who are evil enough to do something bad to him will find him, and might even kidnap him at worst. Imagine if you're the gambler who won a million dollars? Would you tell it in public that you won or you will just keep it in secret.

I guess that's also one of the reasons why the only articles that you saw during your research are the ones who've recovered from gambling addiction because it will not affect them negatively if they share it online, but it's the complete opposite. They might inspire other people out there especially those addicted ones to stop gambling or else... they might end up like the person in the article.

That's not the end goal really, and for me, the end goal is to win huge in gambling, and STOP. Winning huge in gambling is hard, but stopping after winning is HARDER.

Someone got addicted into something that can ruin his life but he stopped to be addicted to it. That is a good success story.

It is great success story and should be very well celebrated. In my country it gambling addiction has been listed as one of the habits that anyone who wants to become successful in life should avoid because it has a way of continuously eating deep into your finances and never allowing the person to have any personal savings. Therefore, for anyone who has managed to quit gambling and not just quit but has inturned made the most of their life then, that is a good success story.

Honestly i doubt there's any gambler who acquired all his fortune through gambling alone. I'm not saying there ain't gamblers who are actually successful, I'm simply saying that they have other things that gives them money asides gambling and this is the fact, because those who usually win so much in gambling also loses so much as well, sometimes even more than they win, so there's no way they'll stay rich from just gambling wins.

I tried searching for the best gambling stories and the ones that popped up were full of gambling recoveries. A lot of them highlighted of how gambling ruined their life but for some reason, usually one involving religion, they got better. Recovering from gambling addiction is a big testimony to talk because that(gambling addiction) can hold someone on captive for long, spending all they gat on gambling. Nothing feels more worthwhile than that because your finances and family peace was before at the mercy of gambling addiction. That's why when most people survive gabling addiction they feel to share their gambling recovery stories from gambling addiction misery. There’s a lot of gambling success story that literally won big amount and live luxurious life using the jackpot prize. Most of them are winner of the lottery with huge jackpot.

Also there’s the story of Fedex CEO which he saved his company on the brink of bankruptcy through gambling blackjack and won money to fund his business and attract investors to invest more.

It’s just very rare for success story like this to be published due to the privacy of winners.

As a compulsive gambler, being able to stop and stay away from gambling is a success for him and it is the ultimate goal. But for gamblers who consider gambling as a place to make money, they will feel successful if they get a big win from their bets. That way the gambler will feel proud after getting a big win and keep gambling consistently to get the same win.

This is the biggest win but it's been undermined based on the fact that it's not a win that comes with reward but it's something that a lot of people are finding it difficult to achieve. Even those that claim to have stopped their gambling addiction still relapse after a certain period of time. Every gambler is different, because those who gamble regularly will never consider themselves arrogant. And those who think they are arrogant will face a downfall in the end, gambling is a game that those who can control can participate in gambling for a long time, but those who abuse it will definitely fall. Not being arrogant is a good sign. It is most important not to have this habit of being arrogant in all cases.

In my opinion, success in gambling means that a gambler can survive for a long time and is able to control himself. However, others may have different opinions. For some, success in gambling means winning big, while for others, it may seem that those who recover from their addiction are successful. Success will not be accepted in the same way for everyone. I consider a gambler to be successful only if the results are achieved according to the goals that he sets for himself. Even when success comes, many gamblers are reluctant to share their success stories in gambling.

You probably going to find a gambling success stories from the people who won the national or international lottery. Well, there are only few of them and their identity are most of the time hidden. So, the chances for you to find some like these is very rare. And, yes! you are correct that when you try to find some gambler success stories, you'll find a lot of stories about people over coming gambling addiction lol.
If we are talking about success in gambling, we have different definition about how we perceive it. But, for those people who won lottery which usually in the amount of a hundreds of thousands to a million(s) dollar, that we can all could agree they are successful in their gambling journey.

Let me personalise this event, what I consider as a gambling success story is something that I can point to being my ability to such thing out of gambling.


For example, I remember someone who is an active gambler way back before I even know much about gambling and becoming active in gambling also, people always tise him of his gambling habits making gest of him, but when he eventually hit the jackpot he use the money to buy a brand new bike and from that point his story changed, others begin to respect and want to copy him, that is a good enough success story.

There are some regular gamblers that are actually arrogant. If you are active in the gambling communities of various social media,  you will see some of them. They claim a lot of things which are not entirely true and their intention most times is to get people to join their private community or subscribe to their services. Some of them do know what they are doing but being arrogant is not right for a game of chance like gambling.
