I have young cousin that is in love with computer games, and each time he is busy on his gaming device trying and unlocking new level of the games and playing them, I can say what I noticed in him despite he is not using Money to play or winning Money from the games.

He still pay his full concentration and trying each time to make it to the next level, so yeah for sure money is not the only reason why some player games so much and hard, so are just doing it for the fun, not money winning, even gambler are doing so some time for the fun.

It is common to see little children celebrate when they win in computer games. But my concern is that they might get to a point where unlocking the next levels or winning will no longer satisfy them.  At that time, they might start seeking other forms of entertainment, and he might be introduced by peers to gambling.

While growing up most of my peers learned how to gamble from computer games. They sometimes bet on who will win the game using little funds. As they become adults and no longer have an interest in gambling, they simply switch to betting platforms.
I was and still am a gamer, and I still really do not see how that contributed my developing interests in gambling. Honestly, when I started gambling, I actually did for the money and not the entertainment. I saw a few friends who spoke quite highly of it and honestly, I was actually seeing them winning and that made me wanna give it a try, and that was basically how I started gambling...

I'm talking on general basis, are those who like game likely to gamble because there is a relationship between game and gambling?

At least a higher percentage of game lovers would gamble. What do you think...
I do think what makes the difference in both is the monetary commitment that's at stake. Otherwise gambling will remain games. And the reason for games going into gambling is that more often than not, those involved challenge themselves on bets of who wins what. It's usually the argument or contest for superiority that drags this into gambling.

Even the little car race game I play on my phone leisurely to lazy around, any day someone challenges me to a race with some money at stake. If I take up that challenge, I may not strongly tag it gambling but that's what it's. For gamers, reclining into gambling is a thin line.

I am not a player but I like sports especially football cricket is my most popular sport and I bet on these sports the most. I used to play football with the village boys in real life and I like football a lot but I like watching the Premier League and I get a lot of pleasure from betting here.
There are many players who bet big and they are also players in real life but when players bet they have a higher chance of winning so it is much easier for them to research the matches. But if non-players bet they have a higher chance of losing because they need a lot of time to study the rules and regulations so it is very important for them to get educated.

We get the word and meaning of the word "game" in infancy, sometimes without really understanding the meaning itself. But what follows the game, especially in society? The desire to be the first, to be a winner. I think this is typical of every normal person. The game implies competition; wherever we compete with someone, in essence, there is excitement. However, gambling is usually called something in which there is some financial interest. In a sense, the OP is right that those who strive to be a winner more often will definitely have experience in gambling in their history. But here we can connect the mind since when playing gambling, we still sacrifice some funds. Then comes the right to choose whether a person will also be a fan of gambling, understanding that the chosen ones become leaders in them, or will prefer to be where his leadership is more obvious.
Cmon, i have lots of fellows gamers, but just really small part of them are gamblers. The best of them(amateurs) don`t even have a time for gambling - they have a job, family, training - no time for gambling. Professional players have a regret for betting(if i remember right).
There is just on thing, that increases gamers chance to become a gambler - they know the game much better than common gambler and can predict the game better.

Isn't that what I'm writing about? Your amateur gamers don't want to be leaders? And if they had the opportunity to win money in their games, would they refuse, knowing that they are skilled at games? What's the most popular thing there? Counter-Strike? If you can make money in the game, but just for each player, will they refuse? There will be no excitement and desire to win. Or has no one ever participated in any lottery?
Yes, there are people so phlegmatic that they simply won't participate anywhere because they are not interested. But gamers are different people. I am in this society every day, and here you need to carefully read what I wrote about the mind. Everyone has a choice. Your friends have a choice, and they choose not to spend money, but there are reasons for this too. One of them is a simple lack of extra funds. Cheesy

It is not unreasonable to establish a connection between these two things. In particular, the argument that the two words come from the same family of names is quite convincing. I was also someone who only played football games on PS. I played PES from PS 1 onwards (at that time, it was called Winning Eleven). Both activities are common ground for those seeking excitement. Those who are not sufficiently satisfied while playing games may turn to betting. This does not seem like a ridiculous analysis to me. However, based on my own life experiences, I cannot say that this is a correct or generalizable conclusion...

What rules and regulations do you mean and I think both of these methods also have the same level and opportunity for defeat, although sometimes one of the people with another has different opportunities. For people who like poker or card games, in experience, maybe the quality of their games can be much better so that at the time of gambling it might be much greater the winnings they get because they have experience.

But for people who do not like the game it might be difficult to gamble in these conditions because they do not understand the pattern of games like on cards or poker. Except for those who place bets in football because even though they cannot play football, but to bet it is not a problem.

Let's have a poll here.
How many people here who are really gamblers where influenced by gaming?
I was not big into gaming. I did play some PS4 games but was mostly football. The other types of games didn't appeal much to me because they usually made me feel dizzy from it.
Gambling especially on slots just came to me because of the thrill of it and how the themes reminds me of some movies.

I like how you described yourself in a very short version, I am the opposite because since I was a kid I am a big fan of Nintendo and PlayStation, I had their consoles while growing up, I have played through hundreds of their titles and yes I do play football too, I can categorised myself as a big gamer.

There are similar games like slot on consoles too, it was the reason why I like slots games because of the sounds and the thrill, makes me remember games in the past like Dr dolittle and brick game style games, they don't bring dizziness and they are just as fun too.

I have a relationship with gaming and also gambling, and till date even as a mother I still spend time on my PC playing games when I have the time, it's good to have these hobbies and go for the right one at the moment when you feel like it's been a long time already, this is also a part why I am not addicted to gambling because I've never taken it serious like others do.

Looking at the two words, they belong to the family of noun when we talk of part of speech. I have also looked at the two words in terms of what they mean and the activities they create in our daily life or if you like, their influence to our lives.

Game simply is the activity that creates entertainment or fun and gambling is game we play for money or with money. I think there is this relationship that exist between the two, if you don't gamble you don't play game. You can play game without gambling accepted, but at what rate compared to those who gamble because they are playing game or because they have to play game as a channel to gamble. When I say game I mean all kinds of games from casino games, video games or PS, to sports, to table games, card, dice etc.

I'm having this thought therefore that, majority of those who love game find themselves gambling. So to say, if you don't like game you may not become a gambler.

I think there is a certain fact with this. Growing up, all the people I knew from childhood who love to play games or watch whatever kind of game ended up becoming gamblers or at least gambled at a certain point in their lives ( because they like game).

This link  also support this view of gaming and gambling. Although the link and survey was narrowed to video game.

I'm talking on general basis, are those who like game likely to gamble because there is a relationship between game and gambling?

At least a higher percentage of game lovers would gamble. What do you think...

I do not share the point of view that everyone who played PC games eventually tends to become gamblers and abuse betting or casinos (online or physical). I myself loved to play all kinds of computer games, from regular single-player walkthroughs with a story to cyber sports, where you had to destroy the opponent's base or just shooters like Quake or Counter Strike. I believe that PC games do not provoke gambling, they do not cause gambling at all. And gambling and addiction are those who love sports.

In the end, there are FIFA players who have dedicated much of their life to follow the franchise and they have never turned to gambling, and there are also gamblers who like football who have never held a Playstation controler on their hands. If you asked me, it would take some external influence in order to turn someone who is exclusively into gambling to a gamblers, like some family member introducing gambling to such person or some game which has incorporated some gambling-like mechanics, like gacha games or games with loot boxes.
In the eyes of the most greedy videogame companies, it was in their interest to blur the line between what a gamer and a gambler was, fortunately some regulations have made more difficult for them to do so, specially because there were teens and children involved with those gambling-like mechanics.

When I say game I mean all kinds of games from casino games, video games or PS, to sports, to table games, card, dice etc.
You have just described a simple and clear difference between a game and gambling (highlighted in the text). This is the only difference. If you bet on the outcome of a computer game (in money), then this already turns into gambling.

I'm having this thought therefore that, majority of those who love game find themselves gambling. So to say, if you don't like game you may not become a gambler.
I have the opposite experience from observation. I have seen people get very carried away by gambling, while outside the casino they never got carried away by games at all. So whose vision is more plausible?

I think there is a certain fact with this. Growing up, all the people I knew from childhood who love to play games or watch whatever kind of game ended up becoming gamblers or at least gambled at a certain point in their lives ( because they like game).
In childhood, every child is fond of games and there are no other children (who would not play in games). But this doesn't mean that when they grow up, they become gamblers.

I'm talking on general basis, are those who like game likely to gamble because there is a relationship between game and gambling?
Is there a connection between gambling and work? After all, both involve the desire to get money.

Football players are the gamers too. I don`t know what is popular in online games. I use word "gamer" because the thread is about "game" but i don`t see that it is about online games.
My friends don`t win money in online games, they just not professional players, who get main income from their sport. It is mostly football, but there are few volleyball, basketball and table-tennis players.
Also i don`t understand several your words.
About leaders: How you connect amateur games, gambling and leadership?
About make money in the game: Do you recommend fixed matches?
About lack of extra funds: Do you know opportunities of my friends? Even i don`t know, how you knew it?
May be i don`t understand you correctly, but i read twice and still don`t sure that we are talking about one thing.

I highly agree although these two things promotes entertainment, gaming like you stated does not promote gambling the reason behind is that most of these games are intended to kids, so they are very careful about the game element.

The idea of people who are gamers are more likely to be gambler is subjective.  One reason is the person behind the account I quoted.  @bubilas is a gamer but he said it does not affect him to be a gambler.  I believe being a gamer does not mean that he will be a gambler one day because being a gamer, he has his time fully booked by playing games the whole day so there is no time for him to gamble unless he he changes his hobby and decided to gamble.

Op, you may be correct about what you are saying but like I always say gambling is a choice and not everyone that plays game turn a gambler, some people who play game are always scared of gambling because they knew it is a win or loss and so they see it as a waste of money as a matter of fact I have seen one who told me that the money I used to lose in gamble every day that if I should start saving it I will see how much I have been wasting and he is right but because I want to win money so I don't give a fuck about what he was saying, I can still remember how many times gambling has helped my life but I always try not to go beyond my limit and I always no when I am doing that.

I'm a gamer. I've been playing video games since I was in grade school, and now I’m a gambler but I don’t think my gaming habit influenced me to become one, not even a little. I became a gambler because I wanted to try my luck and see if I could win big, just like others. Dreaming of making a fortune, even though the possibility is low and the chances of losing are high. Still, that doesn’t stop me from gambling. Maybe some people who play sports and are also fans end up becoming sports bettors because they love the game.

I think this is the most common situation
even if there are gamers who become gamblers we'll probably have many gamblers that are interested on a moonshot, changing their lives with not a lot of effort needed or not going to a traditional way like 9 to 5 or something like that

gambling can be a great source of happiness and good emotions but can be really bad too depending on the situation

one should be always alert
