People like to play game because they enjoy the entertainment, they can play with their friends. But once they grow up, they know money is very important, this drive them to get entertainment with an opportunity to earn money.

I think the actual consent of gamble comes from play of games, when you play games with friends and it's entertaining or brings some funny arguments you guys might want to stake money in it because either of you are kinda sure of what you are saying. But after everything, one person have to be the winning unless the bet was canceled.

IMO there's no relation, meaning that people who play games, like video games will not be more likely to gamble.

Look at the old days for a bit. There was no video games and kids had to grow up very fast so the time in which they were fooling around with other kids was very short, often limited to primary school.
Nowadays young people stay childish for a much longer time. Gambling as it used to exist in the old days is still with us now. It hasn't dominated our lives. Only a few % of people ever become addicted.

You have already given the fact, so we can conclude that those who love the game they are playing will likely become gamblers. If you're asking members here in Bitcointalk, based on my experience, the study is correct. I love boxing and chess, and I also bet on these two games.
You cannot analyze, put your money and emotion into something you do not like or love; you have to put love into it because you spend time and money.

Game simply is the activity that creates entertainment or fun and gambling is game we play for money or with money. I think there is this relationship that exist between the two, if you don't gamble you don't play game. You can play game without gambling accepted, but at what rate compared to those who gamble because they are playing game or because they have to play game as a channel to gamble. When I say game I mean all kinds of games from casino games, video games or PS, to sports, to table games, card, dice etc.

I'm having this thought therefore that, majority of those who love game find themselves gambling. So to say, if you don't like game you may not become a gambler.

Don't get it twisted there may be some similar relationship between the both of them but they ain't same in any way and I want to quote you wrong that it's not majority of people that tend to love game that find themselves gambling at the end. This works differently based on personal preference cause I know of a lot of persons that love games and tend not to gamble for one bit.

I have seen people that play ball but they do not gamble. Also I have seen people that like PS 5 games but they do not gamble. I have seen people that like to play game but they do not like to gambling. I still think that someone like gambling not because they like to play game. The fun people derived from gambling is beyond the game that they are playing.

OP said, at some point in their life, there is a high chances that they'll start gambling on the games they love, maybe with their fellow player. If someone loves playing PS5 games with his friends regularly, there may be a day where they'll be arguing who wins consecutive 3 times in a row, if they come to an agreement then gambling has occured between both friends.

Aside this, I've never come across a football lover who hasn't gotten into gambling sports betting, maybe when you were younger, you played football on the street with friends, there is a chance that such person will likely gamble when he grows up, not because he wants money but he is gambling on the game he love from birth.

the definition of game is a form of play or a sport that is played often competitively what we do in gambling is to play games but not everyone who games i.e athletes, mobile gamers, and etc want to gamble so that is the relationship there games are inherently part of gambling

I don't know for sure, but it's possible that those who previously liked playing games may have gambled. But I also have a friend who is a big fan of games, and he is also my friend who plays FIFA or PS games. My friend also likes football like me. But he never gambles, but I gamble on either casino games or sports betting. Not all of my friends who are currently actively gambling play certain games. But maybe more of them do play games.

I have friends like this too. They are the best of the best in their regular games but will never gamble.

I think that the culture you grow up in and the personal principles that you have is what guides you here. A strict religious background will inform your decision to switch from regular gaming to gambling or not. You will see it as something that is not in line with your religious teaching especially if you are an ardent follower of that religion.

There are who gamble and don't play games or never have played games. They just not have any interest in games. They gambling is just for their entertainment, to be able to join the conversation when they discuss over 1.5 or just for occasional winnings.

I support the survey; some gamblers ended up as gamblers because of their love of sports, and I'm one of them.
If you are a loyal and avid fan of one team or fighter, and you are challenged to bet on that team or fighter, you will take the challenge because of your love of the team and the sport and betting is a proof of your love and support of the team or sport, so many game lovers end up as gamblers.

It is different from my experience. Most people that I know that are betting are not many like those that are playing games. Although, some people bet and lose and later they stopped in a way you can not call them bettors.

Ui see almost everybody playing games but many among them are not gambling. The money involved is the reason that makes most people to be gambling and not the game itself.

probably there's a relation between both but it's interesting to see that some people are interested in games and even end up getting addicted but are not into putting money in the games at all.

No.. I've watched so many game streamers and also had personal relationships with a handful of them, they don't gamble. If anyone gambles, it's because they have also thought of doing so, not because they're gamers -- infact, majority of gamblers don't even have a clue how these modern games are being played.

That's not true... Modern games need close attention and regular participation to be able to enjoy and stay in it. Plus, you have to buy item from their stores online to enhance your user's ability. That being said, there's no doubt a huge relationship between those games and gambling in general (in some areas)

If I tell you that I was influenced by gaming, maybe I could be telling lies as I don't know how I started gambling all of a sudden, or maybe it was because of the fun I get while gaming which is why I have decided to go  for reality and not stimulated anymore, although I started this by watching only the events without thinking of betting with my money, but at some point I see myself gambling with my money. So with this did you really think I was influenced by gaming?

I was not big into gaming. I did play some PS4 games but was mostly football. 

Sure, I do play Ps4 as well. and there, I was able to know most of this players name, since is stimulated their faces don't seem like human or resembling anyone, while most of them you can be able to identify them when you see them in reality, I most say that I always spend quality time in gaming that's during my free time, There's a lot of fun in gaming but can't be compared with live, since it has to do with stimulated.

I'm a gamer. I've been playing video games since I was in grade school, and now I’m a gambler but I don’t think my gaming habit influenced me to become one, not even a little. In this case i will draw from personal experience.
To be honest, the games i have played since long ago only have a little influence with gambling today, one of which is when playing PS4 soccer, when playing, we often bet with friends on the club we play, relying on skills and playing experience to win the game, different from sports betting in gambling, we only need to place a bet and then wait for which team will indeed, only requires analysis of both teams.

I was also the kind of kid who grew up playing some videogames and I can tell there is certainly some relation between gaming and gambling, but it is not as obvios or close as some people may believe it to be.
For example, back in the 90s and early 2000s it was possible to find games with have mini games on them which were pretty much gambling. The best example of it is the first generation of Pokemon, in one of the cities there is a casino full with slot machines which one can interact with and gamble our fake money, which we got through our adventure. There many examples like that one in other consoles like Playstation and Xbox.

Nowadays, it seems the industry wants to try to blur the line of what gaming and gambling is, through mechanics like loot boxes and other randomized events. Some people argue gamers are silently being pushed to turn into gamblers without even noticing.

I don't think there is a general rule that defines gamers are prone to become gamblers, because games can be pretty different from gambling in the most essential aspect: you don't have to be lucky in order to advance in a game, rather you have to persistent and skilled. And both characteristics aren't going to ensure someone is going to be successful in gambling.

So there are gamers who will simply reject gambling, because their skills can't be applied to it in order to generate them positive results. Moreover, gamers look for immersive universes where they can adopt new identities and live storylines of different characters. Gambling games, on the opposite, are flat and will never proportionate that kind of experience to gamers.

Not only by playing games with friends but also by betting with each other I would say that some gamblers can physically bet for or against their favorite team with friends outside the gambling board. I think most gamblers will prefer this method for entertainment. When you are consistently losing in online gambling and you start looking for alternatives, the tendency to bet with friends in addition to physical casinos and entertainment can give you a different feeling.
