Relationship between game and gambling

Looking at the two words, they belong to the family of noun when we talk of part of speech. I have also looked at the two words in terms of what they mean and the activities they create in our daily life or if you like, their influence to our lives.

Game simply is the activity that creates entertainment or fun and gambling is game we play for money or with money. I think there is this relationship that exist between the two, if you don't gamble you don't play game. You can play game without gambling accepted, but at what rate compared to those who gamble because they are playing game or because they have to play game as a channel to gamble. When I say game I mean all kinds of games from casino games, video games or PS, to sports, to table games, card, dice etc.

I'm having this thought therefore that, majority of those who love game find themselves gambling. So to say, if you don't like game you may not become a gambler.

I think there is a certain fact with this. Growing up, all the people I knew from childhood who love to play games or watch whatever kind of game ended up becoming gamblers or at least gambled at a certain point in their lives ( because they like game).

I'm talking on general basis, are those who like game likely to gamble because there is a relationship between game and gambling?

At least a higher percentage of game lovers would gamble. What do you think...

I would agree to the fact that most game lovers gamble since you wouldn't even need to be at the casino to gamble. I've a friend that plays mission games and gamble at tournaments there, he's just a game lover and he gambles while playing it. Maybe sooner or later he would find himself at the casino and continue his gambling life.

Some of the casino games started from real life applications, especially the P2P games like dice, poker, Chess, e.t.c and those game lovers have been gambling even before the Advent of casinos.

I still know game lovers who just play PES 4 and don't gamble, but a good majority of my game lover friends end up gambling.

Generally the two words have different meanings but they are used to describe the same thing, what I mean is that some people also describe gambling as a game. They see what they gamble on as a game that's why they love doing it. For those that do the opposite of this only see it as a means of making money which can be a problem for them. They are two different words but can be used in the same context

I’m both gambler and gamer until now but honestly I become a gambler since we applied bets on our games way back my childhood days of being a gamer.

I become interested to try gambling because I play those card games on free to play apps then decided to try it for really due to profit possibility.

I think it’s easier to convert to gambler if you have a gamer background because you have already the background on interest to entertainment through gaming.

I have seen people that play ball but they do not gamble. Also I have seen people that like PS 5 games but they do not gamble. I have seen people that like to play game but they do not like to gambling. I still think that someone like gambling not because they like to play game. The fun people derived from gambling is beyond the game that they are playing.

In every game has its share of chance, whether it's a casino game or not, and it's all about luck Some are more focused on strategy, while others aren't Gambling , when you only use the word "gamble," means it has to involve a bit of luck, and in casinos, well, it's just luck.

Video games are a matter of skill and strategy, I know this because I always see them on video game sites, They're kids who spend almost all day playing and gambling.

Its not so related much cause I am not a gamer too but I am fond of gambling due to the idea of money and playing at the same time. Ive got a lot of gamer friends that are into gambling and they reason for gambling is due to their gaming habit. Well its not really the case for everyone but once a gambler youll do it with or without relationship with games.

I have seen people that play ball but they do not gamble. Also I have seen people that like PS 5 games but they do not gamble. I don't know for sure, but it's possible that those who previously liked playing games may have gambled. But I also have a friend who is a big fan of games, and he is also my friend who plays FIFA or PS games. My friend also likes football like me. But he never gambles, but I gamble on either casino games or sports betting. Not all of my friends who are currently actively gambling play certain games. But maybe more of them do play games.

Yes. Any type of game. Even girls and ladies do have games of their own, that's why we can see many lady gamblers today, although I believe there is still a heavier percentage of men doing it.
I also believe the reason behind a high number of online gamblers in this era is that many lived in the gaming era, too. I am a gamer myself, from the start of console games up to PC games. When online gambling came, it became easier to understand everything because we got used to playing those types of games, and actually, the games before were more difficult to understand, especially the RPG types.

Winning bring happiness like the dopamine to the brain. Winning in a game or winning money in gambling. you may be right about it after all, winning is addictive as well.  You win all the time the more you come back to casino and play the game you like.

A person who lose all the time even in the games he play on PS, he may also be discourage in betting on the game.  Maybe all he would do is go to work and go home after.

If you're playing games, you're not yet a gambler, because you're only being entertained by the activities from a game provider to suit your pleasure time, as no money is involved for you to bet over one thing against the other, but once your game involves the use of money, then it turned gambling because monkey money in this regard has been used for stake.

Gaming and gambling does not have much of a connection because both operate under two different principles. Gaming is basically for entertainment and does not necessarily involve using money to get it. On the other hand, gambling is more of business and even when fund is involved, it cost money to get the fun. Even P2E gaming that incentivizes players, they are not entirely gambling because they do not have the risk aspect that characterize gambling. Although by design, some casino games are just like ordinary games.

Those who are serious gamers are more likely to become gamblers because they are already used to the excitement that comes with gaming and since most games these days are now making it almost like a norm for players to use real money to purchase some upgrades, some of these players will not mind making money from these games as well if that option comes up. Indirectly they have started gambling without even knowing.

So yes, gamers are more likely to become gamblers.

When we were once young, then we do start by playing games, then as we grow more older, we begin to advance into gambling, because we feels that we already have the competences needed in playing most of these games, but on the real fact, things weren't like that with gambling, because playing games is just a child's play while gambling is the big deal we are into and we may have to advance more in learning how to play bets.

I believe the point of discussion here is whether a gamer will have a high chance to convert gambling due to their common interest on entertainment through games.

Gambling is a higher form or extreme form of gaming because it already includes risk of losing money on the game. For some people this makes games more exciting so I think there’s indeed a relation depending on the entertainment each people seek on games.

People like to play game because they enjoy the entertainment, they can play with their friends. But once they grow up, they know money is very important, this drive them to get entertainment with an opportunity to earn money.

If we look at it literally, games always provide or bring us entertainment so that we don't get bored instead we are entertained despite feeling bored or having something else going on.

Now to make our gaming more thrilling and we will now look for a way that while we are playing, we will also combine it with gambling so that we can create money in a fast way that we will rely on luck by betting money.

While playing games the possibility that people will gamble in that process or act is highly possible maybe around 80%-90% because once there is competition within and the struggle of who has more capacity or skill comes in then it becomes a straight ticket to gambling , we can also say that for fun to be achieved more, and make the gaming process tense then gambling (staking) is the next option. So the relationship between the to is a thin line.
