The win is nice, but we needed to score more goals. Rashica scored his first goal halfway through the season. I guess that explains the situation. We finished the first half with 29 points, but it should have been 34-35 points. We can say we're two wins short. A 10-point gap isn't insurmountable, but the team isn't giving us that hope. We need to be a more decisive, more goal-scoring team. Otherwise, the best we can do this season is third place. Finishing third in a season where so much money has been spent is not enough obviously.

Beşiktaş beat Çaykur Rizespor 1–0 at home and took all 3 points. I was expecting a high scoring match, but it ended with just one goal.

Galatasaray will play against Kasımpaşa tomorrow. They have sent some key players to the Africa Cup of Nations, but I still expect them to win this match. I hope they do.

I love how Fenerbahce is keeping the pressure on Galatasaray. I backed Fenerbahce to win today and imagine my happiness when they did and they did so comfortably with that 0-3 win. At least Fenerbahce has returned to the top of the Turkish league standings, although only temporarily because this week Galatasaray has not yet played their 17th match. But certainly, this will create pressure for the Galatasaray team, both on the players and the coach. Even though in the 17th week Galatasaray only faces the weak Kasimpasa team, which is ranked 14th in the standings and is fiercely competing in the relegation zone, and Galatasaray, as the home team, will certainly not have difficulty winning this match. Also, Victor Osimhen was not played in the Turkish Cup midweek, so his physical condition is 100 percent prime to score goals for Galatasaray.

I still cannot understand how Besiktas could not destroy a small team like Rizespor that is not supposed to be a threat to anybody.

Agreed. I placed BTTS bet on their clash with Rizespor, but miracle happened and Beşiktaş managed to win 1–0, scoring once in the second half. Surprisingly, Rizespor didn’t manage to equalize, so I lost my bet. BTW, I’ve been keeping statistics on my bets in the Turkish Super League. So far, it looks like this: 13 total bets, 10 won and 3 lost, giving me win rate of approximately 80%.

Fenerbahçe enters the midseason break undefeated. Tedesco's ability to bring order to a chaotic team upon his arrival, establish a playing system, and close out the first half undefeated is a major achievement. With Fenerbahçe addressing its weaknesses through transfers during the midseason break, the team will look more dynamic in the second half of the league season. In particular, the transfer of a good center forward has the potential to take the team all the way to the Europa League final. The Eyüpspor match was one that Fenerbahçe won without difficulty. Just as Manchester City is closely pursuing Arsenal, Fenerbahçe is not giving Galatasaray any breathing space. The Galatasaray will be under pressure in this game because a loss will be devastating. I know there are still more games to play but Galatasaray wouldn't want to lose the first position. Arsenal had to beat Everton to retain the top spot, I hope Galatasaray will do the same. Kasımpaşa have not won any game in the last three games in the Super League and I don't think they will get it today.

New president has shown that he is not like the old one and getting players who are high potential European stars instead of getting some old player or players from Saudi league, and Veerman is the first of them. I think the same on it. I'm glad with this move by Fenerbahçe. He has just the kind of a profile our team needs. Because he can play as a deep lying playmaker and start our attack organizations in a much better way.

Fabrizio Romano says that we are about to trigger his release clause which is over €20m. Maybe we could have signed him for a cheaper price last summer. But in January you just need to accept the fact that teams won't let go of their players for the same price.

Kasımpaşa are one of the weakest teams in the league. Even if galatasaray left their goal completely open, Kasımpaşa would still struggle to score

The fan base of the big 3 clubs in particular is enormous. They are big enough to compete with the world's giants. Even if they lag behind in sporting success, they are ahead of many major clubs in terms of fan support.

Why aren't they paying their debts? That's a good question. I think they could if they wanted to, but the competitive environment, impatient fan bases in the face of failure, rapidly changing management, lack of stability, and the country's economic and political situation are all factors contributing to the debts not being paid off. Ultimately, despite their debts, the clubs are still managing to keep themselves afloat. So, it's not a problem that needs to be blown out of proportion.

Football is very important for Türkiye; almost half the country watches football, and especially every man watches almost every match. Football is one of the easiest ways to change the public agenda, and the government is aware of this, which is why the value of football is increasing every day.
In other leagues, most people don't know the club presidents, but in Türkiye, everyone knows Saadettin Saran and Ali Koç. This alone summarizes the situation

I don't think fans can help that much for especially very expensive players by only buying tickets, merchandise etc.. For example it's very difficult for Galatasaray to get most of the money for Osimhen's transfer fee and salary both from there. 

The same thing is valid for any other big team spending that high amount of money on a player. Maybe there could be some government aid to these teams also. Otherwise I'm not sure if fans and the chairman only would be enough to pay that money in this league.

Ali Koç is Türkiye's richest man. You can be sure he is someone known even around the world. His father and grandfather have been wealthy since the single-party era. Saadettin Saran is the same way and very rich, but he is been at the center of drug allegations lately. If there were presidents like this in other countries, I think they would be very well known too... :)

Fenerbahçe football team played very excellent against Eyüpspor football team because that team did 3 goals in this match and players performance was at top because they did back to back goals in this match and opponent team could not perform well in this match. The shots of that team were more in this match and these were 18 and 7 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was also brilliant in this match which was 57 percent. Talisca was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 27 minutes of the match when that was need of the team and he gave brilliant effort in this match. Asensio was a person who did second goal of the match and he did this goal at 34 minutes after the 6 minutes of second goal Ang opponent team stats was not good in this match and that was the reason they lost this match at the end.

Everything is under control for Galatasaray in terms of game. But we should have scored more goals than this already. 1-0 is always a risky score to keep you know.

By the way I must admit I liked Barış Alper's dribbling before the first goal. He has the biggest share in that goal certainly.

This makes me question why he doesn't play like this most of the time. This is why the fans are criticizing his general effort.
