Teams have cup games now, and that will matter of course, but in the end cup games are just places where you should be playing younger players and players you have not given that much chance. So that they could use that to get some more playing time and gain some experience. Because in the end if you lose at the cup, nobody cares, either of the two big clubs in here, could lose at cup this week, and nobody could care any less.

Gaziantep managed to defeat Kayserispor 3-0 at home. Playing their first match since Burak Yılmaz’s departure, Gaziantep managed to defeat their opponent with a strong performance. This was an important match for Kayserispor; earning points here would have boosted their chances of staying in the league, but they failed to do so. Gaziantep is no longer at risk of relegation, so they will be able to play more freely in the coming weeks.

I guess this time Burak Yılmaz has left his job at Gaziantep permanently.    You know he managed the team for 16 matches first and left his job for only a few days.

After being convinced to come back he stayed for the exact same number of matches again. But his 2nd time period didn't go well for him with more point losses and worse goal stats. He was so furious during his last interview too by the way.

I am sure that he has made way more than enough money during his time as a footballer, and if he did invested some money outside of turkey, which I sure do hope he did, then he doesn't need to worry about what will happen to him. He can just live off that easily wherever and however he wants. Talking about referees and what happened to you is not a bad thing to do, if what he said is actually what is going on, then it is the first step to making this league a bit cleaner. We have been hearing a lot about this league and how referees decide the games ,and I only watch highlights of this league, but I can see why people think that way.

I hope both teams focus on the derby and lose their cup matches. It doesn't matter if they don't advance further in the cup. The derby is more important to them. Besides, Beşiktaş is the only team that needs to win the cup. This cup is their only remaining goal. The point gap in the league has widened significantly. There's nothing left to play for. The point gap between them and the teams one above and one below them is huge.

As you said, it happened and the favorite teams didn't win. I'm happy about that; I'm pleased to see Anatolian teams progressing in the cup. Gençlerbirliği is currently trying to move away from the relegation zone in the league, they might not even be in this league next year, but they have a chance to win the Turkish Cup. Konyaspor is in a similar situation, currently in the middle of the league, but a few weeks ago they were very close to the relegation zone.

Just as the name implies, it's a derby match and in such matches there are referees that are usually assigned or saddled with the responsibilities of  overseeing such games based on antecedents and their abilities to handle the pressure that comes with such matches, the fact that he awarded a late penalty doesn't in favour of Fernebache doesn't make him a controversial person, what you should be concerned with is if the decision is justifiable hence there's a reason why this same referee is being called upon to be centre referee in this fixture.

Kasimpasa is still far from the relegation zone because they are six points above the area so they won't be bothered if they lose this match but they must try and win at least a match and maybe a draw so that they won't near the relegation positions.

Kayserispor managed to defeat Rizespor at home. We must say that they secured an important victory. I think Kayserispor played the better game throughout the match. So far, in the matches affecting the relegation battle, even the underdogs have managed to win. If Antalyaspor also wins, we will see that all three teams in the relegation zone have secured victories. With this win, Kayserispor has managed to take their points tally to 26. this is fenerbahce's last chance so they’ll try to win no matter what. we might be watching the best derby of recent years. my only concern is that Yasin Kol might ruin the fun. i hope he officiates fairly and like a man. because GS has lost many points due to referee errors so far but this match shouldn't be one of those.
