It was great to see Fenerbahçe losing points.    I was really nervous as they were quite dominant. But Göztepe resisted quite well. Besides it was mostly because of Fenerbahçe's having big issues with finishing.

This was not an unexpected result. Göztepe is also performing well this season, although they are not doing anything as great as Fenerbahç. However, they are capable of drawing with Fenerbahç. We saw some good attacks in the match, but we did not see many goals because the finishing was not good. This draw brought the most advantage to Galatasaray, at least they found a gap of 1 match (3 points).

Both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are doing quite well in the Super Lig, although we expected better performance from them in European competitions.
Fenerbahce points loss was against Goztepe which is a solid team. Such match outcome might occur and should not be a big problem. The difference between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce is not big and a round could mix everything up.
Fenerbahce should hold a low difference until March because from there Galatasaray games will be difficult and in April, these two teams will face each other.

Beşiktaş is not recently in anyway one of the top team in Turkey. They are highly inconsistent. Imagine playing draw with a relegation zone team like Eyüpspor. The funniest here is that Eyüpspor had never had a draw with Beşiktaş in all there matches. In all 4 meetings, Beşiktaş won all. I know most gamblers will lose out today as most will believe Beşiktaş will surely win.

They are rebuilding the team and that is the issue they have at hand but they are also winning games compared to past. In the past few years they were bad, and they had great players and still were bad.

Now they are getting rid of most of their players, sold all the high price players and yet they are winning more and more. This is great rebuilding, and this summer they will get rid of even more players, and then we will see what happens. They should get Trabzonspor as example and make sure they do great scouting transfers, cheap players and cheap salaries.

The management may not be saying it, but secretly, there's another "Sacrifice Season" underway at Beşiktaş. Abraham hasn't been productive enough. The purchase option is too much for Beşiktaş. Most likely, Sergen Yalçın didn't like Abraham's performance. The transfer window is almost closed, but Beşiktaş still hasn't signed any players. They say Serkan Reçber is scouting players abroad, but it shouldn't be this late. You should have been following the players you have in mind for a long time.

in order to secure first place in the league, fenerbahçe needed to capitalize on galatasaray's weak period. for a month, galatasaray was without osimhen and lost points, giving fenerbahçe an opportunity. but fenerbahçe officially turned down the golden opportunity they were handed.

if you don't attack your opponent when they're weak, they'll attack you when you're weak. i wouldn't be surprised if galatasaray widened the points gap when fenerbahçe is struggling.

fenerbahçe isn't losing, but they have a lot of draws. if you can't escape second place, there's no point in just "not losing". an unbeaten record is never a success that will be remembered more than a championship.

I really liked Yasin Özcan when he was at Kasımpaşa but he couldn't find much playing time in Europe. but i still think he has huge potential. I really don't understand what the board is doing at Beşiktaş. They are acting like they have 0 planning on transfers. If they haven't scouted anyone as a replacement for Abraham then he should have stayed until the end of the season at least.

A trustee has been appointed at Eyüpspor. They still managed to get a point from Beşiktaş despite their complicated situation.    Beşiktaş might get eliminated earlier than I imagined in Turkish Cup also if things go on like this.
