It is clear that Galatasaray is in downtrend by their performance. There are a lot problems tbh. team is a mess with positions. they need a real number 10 but they keep changing other players roles. defense is too thin. Why are they only looking for wingers? abdulkerim and Davinson are tired, they need a rest sometimes.

Serious improvement is what Galatasaray needs at this time so they do not get to loose out retaining the title this season again, they have obviously been declining with their performance, it started mostly after Osimhen left for AFCON, at first it felt like they were going to do better regardless but so far it dose not seem like, I wish they recover early enough.

Okan is also very problematic. Honestly, with all these opportunities given to him and how bad the rivals have been in the last two seasons there are very few coaches who wouldn't become champions with GS. We just expect a decent rotation and more than one solid game plan. This heavy press thing only works to a certain point, and let's be real, the squad planning was never good enough to keep that intensity for the whole match anyway. Because of this, the league titles Okan Buruk won are starting to lose their value in the eyes of the fans.

Fenerbahce had a great period, getting a trophy by beating Galatasaray, and finishing the first half of the season without a single loss, and being only one point away from the top of the table, these are all amazing things and definitely looks like the best thing that possibly could happen.

Question is, they are playing a strong team against Goztepe, if they also lose this, then things could start to be very bad for them, but if they do end up winning, then Villa game would be very unimportant and nobody will care.

i used to think a decent team would embarrass Galatasaray but you don't even need a good team for that even the team at the bottom of the league is making them look like a joke. Transfers won't even fix this anymore. The team has zero discipline, they don't care and they have lost their hunger. It's like there’s no manager on the sidelines. Everything about the team is bad right now. Usually, they play poorly for a few months every year and the star players bail them out... but now even the stars have given up. It’s going to be really hard for Galatasaray to keep their spot in the league.

Getting a new signing is a very good planning for the future of the club before the season ends. The current wingers lack some passing abilities, Sane has been doing a lot but the flaws is that he doesn't release the ball quickly, holding the ball when he is supposed to release the ball to Osimhen delays all their efforts. Getting new wingers that understands how effective Osimhen heading skills are, will definitely help them in the remaining six months they have before the season end.

It can easily be said that Sara was the man of the match with 2 goals. He must have redeemed himself for the big chance he missed against Atletico Madrid in the last moments.

When is the actual deadline for the transfer window? The thing is they didn't keep their promises, which is looking very bad for everyone. I don't think it is professional way to do things. The players and their managers must be asking more money because Beşiktaş is more desperate now. They must feel like they can push Beşiktaş because of the desperation. These things are very very bad for the club image.

On the other hand getting rid of all the 'garbage' is actually a positive thing. Almost all the bad players are gone one way or another. This fresh start can be a good thing but I don't know this club management can do it properly.

Here in Turkish league it's 6th of February when you can register players for the last day. But for many bigger leagues it's either 2nd or 3rd of February as well, like Ligue 1 or Bundesliga or Serie A. This is the same as the summer period where Turkish league ends a bit later, and same here on winter break as well.

We as non Turkish people always assumed that is because if a player is not sold to European teams, there are just three leagues left in the world you can sell to, Saudis, Russians or Turkish, and Turkish looks like the best choice in those, hence why it ends a bit late, to get cheap players that failed to sell until 2nd or 3rd, that way Turkish league ends up with some good decent players during that time.

I know Galatasaray to be an attacking side but we didn't see much from them in the game today. They created few chances but were lucky to utilise most. Victor Osimhen scored his 50th goal in Galatasaray colours today. He achieved this feat in just 59 games.

The game between Fenerbahçe and Göztepe is now the main focus. Fenerbahçe would have to win to reduce the gap between them and the current champions.

Right now, it seems difficult for them to withstand Manchester City's magnificent players with these defenders, but nothing is impossible in football. They also won their last match in the Turkish league and maintained their lead. I think I agree with you. I watched Galatasaray yesterday when they played away against Karagümrük. Their performance wasn't very encouraging. Yes, they won 3-1, but with this kind of play, they can only win matches in the Turkish league. It's impossible for them to beat Manchester City in the Champions League, not even away. Maybe they could get a draw on a very lucky day. Because Galatasaray has been on a very bad run lately. They played very badly against us in the Super Cup, and we beat them and won the cup. Now, I think Manchester City will score at least three goals against Galatasaray at home. Galatasaray's defense leaves too many gaps, and as Fenerbahçe, we haven't been able to take advantage of them much, but a player like Haaland would tear Galatasaray's defense apart.
