Do you have this kind of mentality?

It’s one of those sayings that really sticks, and honestly, it’s something that inspires a lot of us not to give up on gambling too easily But if we really think about it, is having that mindset positive or negative? Does it motivate you, or does it just lead to losing more money in the long run?

Personally, I think I can relate to it. I’ve been gambling for years now, and I’m still here, still placing bets, so yeah I'm not a quitter.

I have this feeling on lottery.

Until now I keep betting even once a week or whenever that jackpot prize is already massive amount. I’m just spending few money anyway so there’s no harm on keep trying since I will never win that life changing money if I will quit while I will not be poor if I keep betting 1$ per week for a chance of big win.

But ofc this is not applicable on all scenarios especially on slot games. Some people already risking a lot just to chased big win despite losing already huge amount on high volatility games.

But honestly I like that mindset as even if I don’t really think about it while I’m gambling, I still carry that attitude of not giving up easily. It feels more like emotional gambling sometimes, because when we lose, we often stop following our strategy, but we still keep going.

That’s when the losses pile up even more, but just like you, I’ve been gambling for many years now, so this saying really fits me too.

Do you have this kind of mentality?

Of course not. That is a dumb mindset to adopt towards gambling practice, as mathematically you can't win on long term. What happens is that marketing developers subverted that motivational and inspirational mindset, which was originally aimed towards general aspects of life, to gambling. Therefore, that mindset isn't wrong and unfeasible, it just depends towards what you are using it in your life.

If it's about your professional career, your personal development and evolution as individual, or any other personal objective which heavily depend on you to succeed, it's completely valid. However, when you apply it to gambling, it doesn't work, because gambling results don't depend on you, since it's random and on long run the casino has a numerical advantage against gamblers.

This kind of mentality may not applies to every gambling situations, because honestly it may got to a certain extent that we must just have to quit than making wrong approach trying till we got emptied, luck sometimes may be absent as we are gambling and if we are sensitive enough, we should be able to know or have the feelings for that, same applies in some conditions, whereby we may only afford to make a last attempt to try our luck, provided it's not going to affect us in any way.

For me gambling is not lies in courage or surrender, why survive if someone is always in defeat or in loss, it is not a solution to maintain it.

Money vs. Money certainly wants to make money, however we still have to have a real profit, if someone continues to force himself to continue to bet even though they are in loss, of course the only way must surrender.

We understand that gambling can harm someone financially, mentally and health needs to be considered wisely before going further in the world of gambling, Gambling is not just entertainment, gambling can cause someone to disappear everything, giving up or not it all depends on the situation and condition of a person involved in gambling.

Well I don't have any of such things. However, I do have in mind that if I do not gamble with the money I can afford to lose then I would lose the money that I shouldn't have Gumball with and it's negative effect would be felt for many weeks and maybe months to come in my life. Winning and having a great time is what I have at the back of my when I game and whichever one of them happens is fine with me. Sometimes, it is both while at other times, it is just one.

This is true for most activities, with the exception of gambling. I don't easily give up on something I start doing, but gambling is a whole different story. This kind of mentality is the one that'll get you broke in no time, because you simply won't quit, because "winners never quit." Sometimes, you've got to quit. That applies generally in life as well, but especially in gambling. If it's not your lucky day, don't push your boundaries hoping you'll end up winning in the end, because more often than not, you won't.

It mostly really applies to general life, I believe. Like in life if you just keep working hard you will succeed. But sometimes quitting is the better thing to do. To leave it alone and admit defeat. Not everyone has the courage to do that.

I think it depends but like I said, admitting defeat sometimes is better. Like cash out features. Those who cash out before the match ends may have won more than those who stayed because the match ended against their favor.

Yeah on other aspect on life. But in gambling? We need to know when to quit since if we have that kind of mentality there's a good chance that we always go out losing knowing this is so risky activities that we can participate on.

I know some may say that no risk, no gain but we need to think more smarter and know how to assess the situation so that  we won't experience any worse disappointment and we can increase our chance to take profit if there's good chance to do it.

What I always put on my mind when in terms on gambling is secure your profit if you are a winner and learn to quit when you are already experiencing a long losing streak.

This statement is very correct and I believe it. There is no way of becoming rich that is easy so quitting doing something worthwhile is not a good decision. It is important, however to ensure we are doing what is worth the money and the time we put in it and that the expected reward is something that can change our lives before we imbibe the perseverance of champions.

Gambling is something that can transform the life of someone so quitting gambling does not appear smart to me because with patience,  we will be closer than winning than we thought.

A lot of gamblers usually say people quit before hitting the jackpot lol, how do you know if you'd be actually won or the fact that you quitted has saved you from incurring a lot of losses. Yes, it's true that quitters never win and likewise winners never quit, and as a gambler that doesn't mean you are prohibited from taking a break if you noticed a sudden constant lose in bets. Because to be frankly speaking that's the exact area where many people get it twisted and misunderstand this concept. Because it is still very possible that you can decide not to quit and continue gambling for the next 20yrs and still not win a penny, and as such, it's best gamblers strive to always apply common sense in whatever they do, so as not to go bankrupt whilr trying not to give up with gambling. Because for the fact that you keep trying your luck, you might be lucky one day you least expected to win a jackpot. So that's sincerely how the Gambling system works.

It's a meaningless phrase, just like "a successful person is successful" 
You can come up with a lot of stupid (but at first glance beautiful-sounding slogans) but it is better to simply understand the mathematics of gambling and then it will be obvious that: the one who never quits always loses. Or else: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Such slogans, when applied to an understanding of mathematics, make much more sense than the slogans that casinos promote for advertising purposes.

You should know that it's not compulsory for you to win  your bet because gambling is not by skill but luck. It's good to quit and take a break that doesn't mean that you wouldn't win when next you resume gambling. Winning and losing is inevitable in gambling and quitting is a most because at a certain age majority of gamblers will stop gambling.

Gamblers always run at loss in the long run and the only few that have outsmart gambling are those who hit the jackpot and quitted gambling finally. They invested the money and became rich. If you win big and don't quit, you will lose it all.

Because you are still here, I can only say you enjoyed it and although the money isn't rolling up you are here waiting for that jackpot still.
A lot probably knew this feeling because we are all hooked to it. Not that we aren't planning to quit but we are just enjoying the win and loss.  Maybe we are going to quit one day.

It's a meaningless expression that sheep think is poignant or significant but is the equivalent of saying "rain is wet". Quitters never win? Right, but knowing when to quit is very important - if you are gambling at a casino and start with a bank balance of 100k but you are destined to lose every penny because of the way the games are engineered to eventually clean you out. I'd have a lot more respect for you if you spent $80k and woke up to that realization and walk away with $20k to try something new, than be the guy who keeps going and goes negative $25k into debt before stopping. Any entrepreneur will tell you they tried and failed at many things, because they are constantly re-evaluating the evidence in front of them, but stopped when it became apparent something wasn't working.

It depends on the situation at hand because you can't be gambling for years without profits and you still occupy your mindset with the mentality that 'winners never quit'. If you gamble for a very long time and you don't win it is better to quit, i don't mean getting rich through gambling but am talking about little wins from time to time not every time you are always losing and you say winners doesn't quit. If it is a business, it can be understandable but for gambling, even if you will not quit, reduce your stakes such that you won't really worry about your losses anymore, let it be more of a fun game than actually hoping for returns while gambling.

Gambling is something that can transform the life of someone so quitting gambling does not appear smart to me because with patience,  we will be closer than winning than we thought.

Just have it in mind that as gambling have the tendency to transform the life of a gambler, same way it can also lead to downfall if not played responsibly. I can tell you that i have seen people who became reckless and wayward through gambling. Gambling is not harmful anyway but your attitude to gambling is what really matters.
