I have nothing against wanting to invest in altcoins. But I do believe that only very few and close to little altcoins will reach new ATHs. There are other reasons why one would want to invest in altcoins like transactions purposes but I believe if you are hoping to see a coin reach new ATHs this cycle, it will only be bitcoin.

I do get your point and i quite agree with what you said here. Mostly all or some of the altcoin may pump sometimes, however putting much hope that they will reach new ATH is definitely not too good since the chance's is very slim.There has been a correction in the market and as such not all crypto will bounce back .
Bitcoin had proven it's worth over the years and as a result there is high adoption rate, so the possibilities of hitting new ATH is there. Aside bitcoin no other crypto will reach new ATH after they have dump.

I didn't open the link in the OP because I still want to avoid any linked links. My guess is that the founder of Binance actually wants to say that the right call to make is Bitcoin, second is BNB.

In the same position, I am also not against if there are people who invest in altcoins even though only a few of them are also a good choice if you think about it based on experience.

With the way Bitcoin is gaining more attention, we should expect that this dominance will last longer. Altcoin season will not happen by chance; it is people who will invest in altcoins that will cause its bull season as well. What i see is that Bitcoin's dominance in the market is still very strong, because Bitcoin is still the best option to buy in the long term, not only as an investment asset but also intended to protect the value of assets from inflation that occurs every year, even as we know Bitcoin has always been a safe haven when the market is volatile.

Reality is, some altcoins will still end up reaching their new all time highs, but not as fast and high compared to bitcoin’s new ATH. That isn’t surprising at all, bitcoin is the king of the crypto, so expect that bitcoin gained an edge from the rest of altcoins.

However, I don’t agree with OP’s statement that only bitcoin will reach an ATH, all coins have certainly their own price target as long as they end up recovering in every dip. It’s just that, the span of time achieving its all time high is always not the same.

Well, it is sad to say that altcoins are not gaining high demand compared to the previous bull season. And Binance is right in choosing the right coins that have strength and project development. In the past years where hype has been happening, a lot of investors have lost their money due to its unsustainable market growth. Most of them die after the hype. But bitcoin is far from these altcoins and gives us no question about its long-term profitability. The current situation proves that bitcoin is a better and greater investment than those altcoins.

I personally still think about the convenience of making investments, not that bitcoin is risk-free but in the end when it comes to risk issues and investment goals for the long term then they are the most worth it for now.
Altcoins do have some pretty good projects and it can't be denied that they also have some that are increasing, but as you said only a few of them are growing because most of the altcoins and shitcoins are dying slowly or are at a stagnant point.

So it is clear that the long-term risk will be much greater than what happened to bitcoin, so when looking at this, it can be realized that the comfort of being in bitcoin will be much greater than with altcoins or even shitcoins.

Yep. Bitcoin must create new ATHs in each cycle. If we want to have a more secure crypto asset, just hold the Bitcoin only. However, it has reached the new ATHs few times in the current cycle. Be careful that it probably has reached the peak price!!

In my opinion, the higher the risk, the higher the return, there is no asset that is safer but has the potential to give higher returns.

If we ignore those who have the opportunity to buy bitcoin at low prices, those who are just starting their investment journey from now, investing in bitcoin will be the safest but not sure to bring better returns than altcoin.

The market has changed a bit this year, all the attention is on bitcoin and this helps bitcoin outperform the rest. It's a pure risk to invest in new alt that is newly launched while most of old alts like Ethereum are very much hocked with Bitcoin price. The main reason why investors are rarely interested in even old alts is that since they move up only when Bitcoin goes up, that's why it's more appropriate to invest in Bitcoin. Altcoin season may have happened by 2024. Although not all altcoins are growing and giving good returns, there are many altcoins that have increased in price x3-x5 or some altcoins have increased in price x30, x50 like Pepe, OM or many memecoins on Sol. The altcoin market is quite rich and diverse, not just ETH, BNB, XRP...so we cannot just rely on them and assume that no altcoin is growing well.

Not opposing people's desire to invest in altcoins is a form of support for freedom in the crypto space.
If people can't afford Bitcoin, they can still partake in altcoins as a first step towards the ultimate goal of Bitcoin.
