The other day, I caught a glimpse of the WSOP Paradise poker series broadcast and, to be honest, I was surprised to see the YEET logo there. I don't know how long this gambling platform has been promoting its brand at such large and fairly well-known poker series, but I hadn't noticed it before.

Not sure that how long they have been promoting their platform on WSOP but I've seen their promotions on YouTube and many YouTube content creators promote Yeet as used to watch videos of a Solana Meme coin trader who used to promote Yeet and play the casino games during his live session. Back then the Yeet platform wasn't even here on Bitcointalk, and that's why I believe it's a platform that spends quite good amount on marketing activities.

There will be a $10k poker freeroll within the next 12 hours, the requirement is to be at least Platinum in Yeet (wager $250k). Check your email or simply login to your SoPo account to register in the freeroll the chat to live support to confirm your registration. Not sure if it is new step to do because it used to be automatic one in the past (without confirmation) but in this recent email, they ask me to confirm registration by sending a message to live support.

lol, from silver to gold to now platinum. It seems my hunch was right and good for me that I stopped chasing gold vip for poker freeroll. Chasing platinum ($250k) is a big no for many just for this tournament alone. And top of that there is no guarantee that if you reach that level they will not just simply raise the bar again  .
Also 10k poker tournament which will give what $1k to first place is not worth the time/energy/focus of high rollers, which yeet seems to be targeting.
I would suggest them to bring back the bar to silver level, more people will join and this will be great for marketing. You can have other check for avoiding too many players.
Just my opinion though.

I'm wondering whether this is a special one or the regular (bi-weekly one) freeroll tournament. The requirement is too high now for the freeroll poker tournament if it is the normal bi-weekly one. Yeet is increasing the requirement frequently as they are growing quickly.

Next to Platinum is called as Jade ($1m wager) in Yeet but I doubt that they will change the requirement to Jade soon. They may increase it to Platinum 2 or 3 in the near future which is more reasonable requirement than Jade. Since they have VIP transfer program, those who have an account in other casino with more than $250k may use the program to get tier matched in Yeet, Means that they do not need to wager $250k in Yeet in order to qualify for the poker freeroll but there is 1 other requirement to be accepted in the VIP transfer program which is to wager $50k first in Yeet.

If you like playing in the casino, then merely do it for THAT. Plus an advantage of playing in YEET.com is, their airdrop. It will help you recover some of your losses if you're a big loser, and you could also get some profit if you're a small loser in the casino.

Initially, there weren't such wager requirements to be eligible for the VIP transfer at Yeet. I had used the tier matching program when I was new here, and my VIP rank was promoted to Jade ll. However, I had reversed my rank later as I didn't notice much benefits for being a Jade ll VIP rank user. BTW, I think Yeet the team won't allow those users to join the freeroll poker tournament who will be promoted to the higher VIP rank without wagering $250k at Yeet.

I stopped wagering when they suddenly changed the requirement and then I was thinking about completing it regardless, but came exactly to that conclusion - they will raise the level just like that again. I don't think this is a smart strategy to attract people who want to combine the comfort of poker and slots/wagering any other game.

In a best case scenario, they should have had a tournament for each level then. If you completed one level and you were promised a poker tournament if you reach that level, why not stick to the promise and perhaps adjust the poker tournament parameters, but still have it ongoing. Raising the level every single time a certain number of customers have reached it, nah, that's definitely a poor marketing move.

Again, as you said, if they raise the level, some customers lose what they wagered for. If instead they had a tournament for every level, I bet that those who reached one level and can play one tournament continuously, would at some point decide to slowly but surely reach the next level to get entrance to that tournament too. But ok, YEET decided otherwise, that is why I have stopped using the platform.

That would make more sense. You (platform) dont event need to spend a whole lot on starting level's poker tournaments. And it will keep the interests of majority of players.
Alternatively, a change in focus to dynamic wagering condition will also work (like wager 10k in last 15 days) for a single bi weekly tournament.
The owner of the platform is well known poker pro so I will not be surprised if Yeet integrates the poker client within, just guessing though.

I dont think there was any promise, I came to know that this 'increasing the bar continuously' was a previously discussed strategy (and who knows it might be working lol) among inner circles, it was just not made public.

You do not not to be rich in order to be eligible for the freeroll, the requirement is now Platinum which requires you to wager 250k to reach this level.
I'm not a rich man but I have several gambling accounts in different casinos which have wagered more than 250k.
You can wager 250k slowly by betting small amount but you need to do it regularly, as long as you know how to wager effectively + you have luck, it is not that hard to wager 250k.
Of course it is not worth if you try to wager 250k just for the freeroll, it is always better to wager naturally and once you reach the min level for the freeroll, take it as a side bonus.

Yeet team has updated the information about the biweekly poker freeroll tournament. They have two types of poker tournaments now.

There are 2 types of tournaments: Gold+ and Platinum+ Gold+ tournament is for players tier Gold and above with at least $50,000 in wagered volume at YEET. Platinum+ tournament is for players tier Platinum and above with at least $250,000 in wagered volume at YEET. Tier Matching does not make a user eligible unless the volume requirement is met.

I wanted to join the poker freeroll tournament. But I'm getting an error message in the SoPo app. It says SoPo apps and its features are only available in the US. Looks like this geo-blocking system has been added after the last update of the app. Yeet team should think about an alternative option for their global users.

(Lamp)mHe’s a legend from the early days of online poker, one of those lesser-known figures. I hadn’t seen his name in almost 20 years; I believe we started around the same time, back in the first decade of the 21st century. Anyway, I couldn’t determine whether he has an official partnership with this casino, but he is listed as a sponsor. The fact that some of the games are called Lamp Shop seems to suggest a solid business relationship.

It does not come as a surprise that YEET.com stood at such events as WSOP as they are extremely aggressive in their advertising. Even prior to being posted on Bitcointalk, they were advertised on YouTube and crypto content creators, such as Solana meme coin traders, demonstrating that they invest a lot of visibility. Presence of such personalities as Ben Lamb (also known as Lamp) in the category of official partners or sponsors is credible and probably the reason why they are in the WSOP. Compared to the old-fashioned poker sponsorships, the influencer promotion, YEET is undoubtedly targeting to increase its viewership and to become a familiar name in the crypto and online gambling communities.

It actually appears to be an inconsistency of the latest update rather than a definite change of policy. Provided that the non-users of the US are not blocked in the SoPo mobile application, and can still get everything as usual in a PC browser, then the geo-restriction appears to be application-specific. That is incomprehensible and frustrating, particularly of the freeroll tournaments. The Yeet team ought to explain this as an intentional change or a bug and offer an equal alternative to the international customers who would like to use it through their phones.

Yeah, it was on mobile app. And I only received that warning when I tried to access the poker freeroll tournament section from the SoPo app. The other functions of the apps are working properly without the warning. I just tried the 'play now in browser' feature in my laptop, and successfully managed to access the Yeet freeroll poker tournament club. The next freeroll tournament will be played on 21st January.

I am also non US user. I can access SoPo in my phone and download the apps by clicking the site and redirect to download through Google PlayStore.

I can register using my phone and see the inside of the app. But when I am trying to play in Bitcoin Battle Royale and other games, I can't gets in because I access the app from restricted countries. The feature is not yet available in my region and it is only available in the US states that permit sweepstakes.

I don't know what will happen if I use VPN. But that still not right I think because I access the app from the IP on other countries. While I am outside on country.
