That's a good point. Why do we always talk about the negatives of gambling? I've been thinking about this myself. Is there really nothing good about gambling? I think we need to see the positives. I don't think gambling is entirely bad. If gambling uses you, then you'll see the negatives. If your goal is just to have fun, then it's a truly fun activity. Why would I cut it out of my life for no reason? There's no need. I'm not saying this for every game, but for some games, you really need a good mind and the ability to make good decisions, which naturally helps us grow. Why do we always talk about the negatives of gambling? Cause the negatives are much more pronounced and seen in the society than the positives. Of course there are some somewhat good aspects that could come with gambling but in the society, the negative aspects are noticed and seen more. As with most activities, people would choose to see and focus on the negative aspects and perhaps with good reasons too.

Take a scenario where one wins a substantial amount of money through gambling and someone else loses literally everything, falls into financial ruin and becomes a liability. Who do you think people would  talk about more?

There is a good side to gambling and I’ve mentioned it at least twice before if my memory is to be believed. For example, in California they use the state lottery to pay for school supplies for teachers. It is extremely helpful and a way for people who are bad at math to have a role in teaching others to be better.

Okay, this line kind of threw me off balance as, taking it literally, didn’t make much sense. Being bad at maths, practically, that’s one of the course you can learn lessons from.

There are so many sides to gambling and you can only see the side you wanna see. I. Fact, this isn't only applicable to Gambling but also life entirely. Some people have a wrong impression of gambling, not because they actually saw or experienced that side of gambling but simply because they see people talking about it, without actually knowing that everyone choose to see and believe what they want. Some people who see only the bad and negative side of gambling are  mostly those who are not able to control themselves whenever they gamble and they often have this huge expectations of gambling, mostly to get rich overnight, and when these expectations are not forthcoming, they tag gambling as a bad thing, and those who have not even had any experience or similar experience end up buying the idea and even when they start gambling, since they're already having that mentality, their actions and approaches also becomes influenced by that very mentality and then it becomes a problem for them too.

When you are not a gambler, it's difficult for you to see the positive side of gambling, because you don't have interest in it. Some discipline gamblers were able to hit the jackpot and quitted gambling. The money transformed their lives because they invested it and maintained their investment till date. To tell the truth, I don't know of a single case where after a big win people managed not only to preserve their capital, but also to increase it. It seems to me that such people are not predisposed to this. They can only spend money indiscriminately to satisfy their daily needs or buy something expensive. For example, real estate or a car. A gambler who learns how to control his emotions even while in the worst scenario any gambler would want to find themselves which is being tempted to play more, such person has graduated from making certain financial mistakes even outside gambling because it takes discipline for someone to have control over gamble and not get addicted or gamble irresponsible. Physical encounter from non gamblers to some gamblers has negatively promoted the bad impression in gambling because some beliefs that the way a person will behave in gambling is how every other person who are gambling will also behave but that is not right because everybody cannot have the same thing in common, there are people who took it personal while there are people who do not. You are right and I agree with you that most people might have different motives for gambling but the motive usually changes by most of the people when the face good amount of loss or good amount of profit. Gambling is just entertainment - why is watching sports, or playing racing games, or collecting Pokémon cards any more valid? If you're not harming anyone else and you keep your spending under control then it is noone else's business to judge how you spend your free time and money. You earned it after all and can spend it however you like. As you mention, there are other benefits from certain games like poker, which can keep your mind very sharp with odds calculations every single hand and even things like sports betting can tax your brain, as you try to determine if the bookmaker has mispriced the odds they're offering for good value.

Gambling definitely has a good side for those who have won some kind of promo code and tried to play, for example, slots, without investing, accordingly, any of their personal money.

gambling have a good side but the thing is that most people who does not benefit from gambling are the one that always condemn the fact that the gambling does not have any benefit, but I stand to clear they doubt, that if a gambling is something that people is not getting benefit from you will not be see much traffic in gambling, because most people who participate in gambling there are the one who says that a gambling does not have any help financial profit because they are losing often but those one who is benefiting who is winning once in a while in gambling you can't see them coming out to say any negative thing about gambling because there are beneficiaries of gambling

And the good point is that when you win, you will be happy, but why are people complaining? The disadvantage is always more than the advantage because it costs people a lot, especially those who are addicted, and the reason is because of how careless they are, and gambling needs to be handled with enough attention because people who even gamble don't know exactly what they want to do. After all, a lot of things are not bad about gambling.

Ive said before there are lots of good sides to gambling I'm sure of it.  Many would argue for example horse racing produces jobs, investment and a wealth of horse expertise that would not exist otherwise.   Only examining profit missing the money that benefits the sports involved is a one sided view.

I do get your point, however I believe the main reason why many person condemn gambling because if comparison is made between the person that are winning and those that are losing, you will agree with me that the numbers of losing is far greater than the numbers of winning. The is gambling is a game of fun and entertainment, also is a game of luck and is only those that are lucky that do benefits from it and it is rarely few. I believe this are the reason why we are seeing people always talking about the negative side of gambling instead of the positive side. If the numbers of person that winning is greater than those that are loosing I believe the reverse will be the case.

Most people are always having wrong mentality before joining gambling, most of them join gambling for the sake of making money, and when you decide to start gambling because you want to make money, then you might end up getting addicted at the end which is what really affect most gamblers. Gambling is not bad, just that gambling addiction is something that’s bad. Most addicted gamblers do end up doing crazy things just because they want to gamble. Gamblers do take loan just to gamble, they sell their properties just because they want to gamble, some do steal in the society. Thats just that reason why most society are always having negative thoughts about gambling, they just believe nothing good can come out of gambling, but things don’t work like that.
