Of course Portuguese league is sometimes hard to predict most especially unlike their middle teams for instance tondela and moreirense you might not know the exact club to decide if to play them win or draw you will be finding it difficult to forcast but it very much simple when you see FC Porto with any other clubs in Portugal at least you can be able to play it.


For me FC Porto is my favorite club in Portugal league reason because they always deliver my ticket even though I played them many times they never failed me I just made them my best club wether inform or not I still remains Porto fans.

This long transfer window isn't very helpful. It would be interesting to have some flexibility mid-season so that new signings could be tested and put to the test, and to try and change the team while everything is in progress. Having to wait, stop the team, and see who stays and who goes has always seemed strange and bureaucratic to me.

Well said the current transfer window system actually feels limiting, especially when a team is struggling mid season and needs urgent reinforcements. Having some flexibility during the season could allow clubs to adapt better, test new players, and fix weaknesses. And it might bring more excitement to the league, rather than forcing teams to gamble all their hopes on pre season moves alone.

What I also think is that for the team to make any changes to its roster, they would need to wait. And since they have a weak team, this would influence their points, so they might not score or score very little with this weak team. Therefore, this directly impacts their overall league performance and points total. Obviously, this shouldn't be something open to everyone all the time, but some signings from outside the club should be more frequent.

Amidst all of this, what is most surprising is the fact that we see the Gil Vicente team in fourth place, only 2 points behind third. Gil Vicente is usually a mid-table team or fighting to avoid relegation. This year, they are having a spectacular season.

This weekend, we'll have matches in the Portuguese Cup, with the big clubs still facing smaller clubs from lower divisions.

We will have:
Altetico vs Benfica
Sproting vs Marinhense
Porto vs Sintrense

They may not be the most spectacular games, but that's the joy of football.

I don't think we should predict any team that will win the league this season because there is competition in the league. Fc Porto is having a good season, no doubt, but we should also know that Sporting has the same points as Fc Porto. Sporting is also having a good season and they have a chance of winning the league this season, we all know that Fc Porto has many talented players who can help the team win the league, as seen by their performance, but we are talking about football, where anything can happen.

The only reason I did not include Benfica on the list of title contenders is because of their performance, if not, Benfica is also attempting to compete with Fc Porto and Sporting in the title race. Benfica made a mistake by sacking their last season coach, I have not seen anything positive from Jose Mourinoh since he took over as coach. At this point, I see Benfica out of the title race, and Sporting is also the favourite to win the league, not just Fc Porto.

With the same number of matches played in week 15 last season, Benfica topped the standings with a 4-point lead over Sporting Lisbon. Although at the end of the season, Benfica was overtaken by Sporting Lisbon and became the Portuguese league champion with a 2-point difference.

The next round will be coming up next weekend as this weekend teams will be engaging in league cup. Benfica played in the league cup yesterday and won, though it was a hard fought win for them as they scored 2 late goals in the second half.

Well in the next league games I think it would be very easy to predict, the big team would still win, they all have a easy fixture and I think they would all win. With the competition in the league this season every team will trying try to win every game.

Honestly I feel bad that the league will not resume this week, I mostly gamble on the Portuguese and make decent profit on them, then with this I would have to wait to next week before I would gamble on them.

The Portuguese league is sometimes interesting for me not because of these middle teams but because of the big sides like Porto and Sporting Lisbon, their level of consistency is second to none, they know how to handle the rest of the teams in the league, they are both outstanding in their performances respectively and that's why their Derby matches always has an effect on the title race.

Mourinho just has to do his best and help Benfica finish up in a good place that may take them to Europe next season. Because with the current performance of this Benfica team, there chances of playing in Europe is not guaranteed because, they have not impressed me at their performance. Scoring goals has been their biggest problem.

I don't know why Mourinho accepts to train a team that his owners aren't allowing him to do whatever he wants in order to play his strategy freely. He should not accept since the beginning. Now he has to deal with that and accept critics.
Benfica is not well, they are doing their best but it is far from guaranteeing a place in UEFA Champions League next season from what I see. They can still compete for the cup since they are not eliminated yet but nothing is impressive there.

I'm seeing that if they manage to win these away games, it will probably boost morale and create new strategies. I hope they learn something and move forward. I'm rooting for the Portuguese league to improve and break free from the monotony of the same teams reaching the final, and it's always interesting to see new players.

After a little more than a month the current odds are like:

• Porto - 1.80
• Sporting - 2.60
• Benfica - 3.70

Their places in the league are also accordingly for now. The gaps are only 3 points which aren't hard to be closed. That's why it's quite difficult to be confident about any of this trio.

But if I was to choose one which could drop from the title race in time, it would be Benfica I guess.    That's simply because of not trusting Mourinho anymore. I think Porto or Sporting will make it.
