I was and I was for a couple of years to the say the truth. First time I decided to quit it was a personal not bold but smart move I would say, I looked at how many consecutive lost buy bonus I had in a session and it was an extremely high number enough to tell me that this is going nowhere and stopped in the early January of this very year we are in, 2025. I did well for six months and then a new game came out which the mechanics were promising and so decided to come out of my shell and give it a try, I started enjoying it, in fact I reminded myself like those anonymous alcoholics when they go somewhere after rehab and are offered a glimpse of alcohol, at the beginning they say no but if people insist they start drinking saying "good oh" and so I behaved like these. The same happened though as the game was from the same provider. This time I added firewall rules to my main machine and it is almost two weeks without gambling, have used cryptos for other purposes.

I have never been addicted before, but I have something to say that can help gamblers struggling with addiction to come out of it. A gambler who is struggling with addiction needs to understand that it is very difficult to fight alone; you need to tell someone about it. Do not be ashamed and keep silent about what you are going through. Another thing to do is to block every access to gambling. This may be very challenging, but you don't have any choice but to do it because if you don't find a way to close off every access to gambling, you will still find yourself gambling in the same manner.

Don't feel bad about yourself; forgive yourself and understand this is your own addiction. Make a promise to yourself that you will surely come out of this challenge.

Was addicted early in my senior high school days, I am always playing cards with my friends. We have to hide every time from basement to basement until the summer ends and we have to go resume school after. Every weekends I have to go to my friends house to ask whether they are interested and when I learn they moved on. Nothing else I can do but move on as well. Nothing serious to that addiction, another addiction takes over it.

Gambling addiction is only in our minds, I'm sure when something else has represented itself, you'd forget about gambling.

My advice is if you ever feel you are getting addicted to gambling you may bend to talk to a companion or a professional, it can also help spending time with your spouse or relations, and if you think gambling is your problem then you should quit it but if you are the problem and not gambling you can become disciplined henceforth.

It wasn't long ago that I embarked on a gambling journey and at the same time, I haven't felt in my actions so far that I've ever become addicted to gambling.

I have never been addicted but I have seen people who were addicted to gambling and i can say it is really a bad experience for them and something one should not wish for or try to be a victim of. I have a friend that was addicted to gambling for over years and anytime he has money instead of him to take care of pressing needs he will use the money to go and gamble and after losing the money he will start regretting and once money entered his hand again he will rush to casino and lavish the money and even when he is on profit he will  not stop he will continue untill he lost everything. He has not stopped finally but he has reduce and I believe he made a decision and God helped him.

I didn't experience getting addicted to gambling, but I guess I'm free to share my opinion with this one, right?

I've seen some gamblers who got addicted to it, and unfortunately, they didn't recover from it because it's either they're now in jail, or worse, they're dead already. Gambling addiction lasts for years, and it will consume your body slowly until it will come to a point where you might commit various crimes just to have money that's for gambling.

For me, having a family support is the best way to combat gambling addiction because they're a huge part towards your recovery (if you want to recover from it), but of course, their support will be useless if you don't help yourself. Going to a rehabilitation center is also a good advice because you will really recover from gambling addiction there. The only problem though is that, there are lots of temptations around when it comes to gambling, and at some point, you will be fighting against your urge to gamble yet again.

There was no one to help me out with my gambling problem. All it takes is realization, control and urge to move on to become a better person.

While it sounds like I am tough man, no I am not. But the acceptance took through a lot of days before I was able to get back on my shoe after being nearly addicted, yeah almost there.

Just don't stop fighting it. You may not see the results now but soon, you're going to see how effective it is for you battling it.

When i was addicted to gambling, ot was when i was participants of one of those casinos campaign that make weekly payments into my casino account and at that time, seeing such weekly deposits makes me to become more inclined to gambling regularly and this ked me to a significant bad experience, at some point i become worried about my gambling time and expenses and i realise that i was already addicted since i cant stop at that point.

Gambling addiction is something that has grades; there is a level that your addiction can get to where you won’t be able to get out of it yourself. You will need the help of people and even a therapist if need be. On this topic I would respond thus based on my experience watching others and extensive conversation with other gamblers
1. If you notice you are getting addicted to gambling, if you can control yourself to stop for some days, it is still in the earliest stages where you can easily quit on your own. If not, talk to your best friend to help you out. They don't need to be a therapist, they just need to care about you.

2. Addiction can last for several durations, depending on how soon you notice it and decide to take action against it. Gambling addiction will persist for a  longer time, if you choose to continue to live in denial of it.

I used to bet all day sometimes but I wouldnt call it addiction because the budget I allocated towards the games was quite strict and I never went past that budget just to make it more exciting, etc.
   Its more a case of opportunity at that time and good returns so I went ahead because it was fair game at the time.

I was addicted because I thought I can make money from gambling, but I was losing money instead. When I wanted to stop, I knew I can not make money from gambling and I do not want gambling to destroy me. That was the start of the end of my addiction. It helped me a lot.

Addicts should first know that gambling can not earn them money but it will take money from them.

I do gambling, but I don't get addicted to gambling too much because I already know what the outcome will be, and my father was one of them already for 1 to 2 years until he sold everything, the motor, and our house. The only thing that makes him stop or deal with the addiction is the poverty. Where we aren't able to find money to eat, that's the reason he realizes that needs to change because if he continues, all of us will die due to hunger.

I was never addicted to the point of spending days gambling or losing and depositing more. But I already lost a lot of money gambling once and it made me so sick that I already decided to take a few steps back and learn to be more responsible. I never want to feel that feeling again of losing thousands of dollars that takes time to recover with labour.

If someone reading this is addicted, maybe try to limit your accounts so you can't lose more money. Many casinos like Yeet allow you to take time off. Go slow and try to be present in the moment with the idea that this might not be something healthy for you and that what is gone is already gone.

Many times, and honestly, I think there’s still a bit of addiction in me now. I was able to pull myself out on my own, just by learning from my mistakes, and I’m still learning.

When you’re gambling constantly, addiction is always around the corner. Sometimes you risk more than you should, and only realize it after the loss hits. It’s a long process, and as long as you keep gambling, you’re always at risk.
