UEFA Conference League 2025/26 Season

Crystal palace are very much focused on winning the UEFA Conference league now. Despite registering only one point in their last 2 premier league fixtures, they still remain in the premier league and are very close to winning another trophy this season, not a bad season for them though. Last season Palace finished 12th position in the premier league and won two trophies, this season, they are currently 13 in the table and are so close to winning another one. It is becoming a habit for them "stay in the premier league and win a trophy as well". If Crystal palace are to win the Conference league, then I think they would be said to have had a successful season than Liverpool, Tottenham and some other teams in the top 10. Crystal palace will surely make it to finals and win the Conference league, because I don't see any team stopping them in that category.

On May 17, 2025, Crystal Palace won the FA Cup last season, and they are potentially going to win the Conference League on paper. Im so proud as an English football fan that EPL teams are competing at all four fronts. Arsenal in the UCL final, Nottingham Forest or Aston Villa possibly going to the FA Cup final, and Crystal Palace closer to winning the Conference League.

Currently, there's a chance that all three European Cups could be won by English teams. Arsenal reached the Champions League final, an English finalist is expected in the Europa League, and Crystal Palace will likely reach the Conference League final today. It would be a very interesting situation if all three cups were won by English teams. England's success rate is constantly rising. We don't see any teams better than them in leagues like the Conference League or the Europa League. Naturally, English teams are considered favorites for the cup when the league starts.

Shakhtar Donetsk has already achieved a great feat by reaching the semi-finals this year. Crystal Palace also won the first leg 3-1. It wouldn't be wise to think they'll lose this match in England. They will most likely win and advance to the final. I think the real competition will take place in France. I expect a great semi-final match between Strasbourg and Rayo. In the return leg, the French will give everything on the pitch to advance.

In this season, English Premier League teams have enough success in Europe. Arsenal already secured a spot in the final of the Champions League, while Aston Villa or Nottingham Forest is going to have a spot in the UEFA Europa League with Crystal Palace's first-leg success can give them a spot in the final as well.

This could be great for them. After having big success in the first leg, now they could be more confident about having a spot, while Shakhtar Donetsk is still capable of fighting back. Even if this is not looking easy, they have enough depth to fight back here. Crystal Palace can do something; it's a challenge for them at this level. I didn't expect crystal palace to even win that game from since I looked the game from the perspective of experience in the competition and shakhtar  donsesk have way more than them but I guess it doesn't really matter that much because crystal palace are on a comfortable stand although sometimes football can be really crazy and we get to see some shit but I doubt if crystal palace will let such lead go and allow for any come backs.

I agree. I don't expect Shakhtar to surprise people after losing the 1st leg by 3-1 at home... English teams are mostly playing home matches really well. They wouldn't lose such an advantage I guess.

I want Shakhtar to win conference league this year but Crystal Palace is quite a challenging team for them. It will be very difficult for them to make up for the defeat they suffered in the first leg. They tried to push a bit in the first half but they could only manage a draw. This game is a tough one , after taking the lead I expected that palace should try and defend the goal and look for a way to score another goal so as to equalize the score line. But they have allowed the opponent to score so everything is now back to normal. Two goals is not a too big deal for Palace to score if they are really determined to do it.

Did you see Mateta last goal attempts which was denied by the wood work before the first half ended. Assuming, that ball went straight into the goal post, it would have been a magnificent goal and the best in the competition. I believe that Palace will score more goals in the second half because they look more lively than the visitors.
