I made this post below in a thread in my local board and I thought I should share it here and also give my two cent opinion to others.

My advice to anyone will simply, avoid or do not buy dreams.

If dreams of cryptocurrency of any kind is sold to you do not buy to it.

This above is from my experience, all scams are always tied to selling of dreams, some people call it too good to be true ideas or dreams.

First way to avoid getting scammed is to be Skeptical about everything, and unsolicited private messages or DMs should be treated with Skepticism hence if otherwise any dreams sold to you by anyone should not be bought, don't hesitate to leave such conversations that have too much of promise of returns to you.

I believe that the first way to avoid getting scammed is not being greedy and believing in something for nothing, secondly not seeking the easy way to achieving a great financial success.

It's better to ask yourself some vital questions or get clarifications on how someone promising you any goodies actually makes his own money from the business.  I've learned that for a business to be sustainable, an employer should make up to 5 times or more what he pays for labour or collaboration, so if there's no clear and practical way he gets his own revenue, then you're the revenue.

Well, you said nothing new, but it's all true. The only thing newbies should be blamed for when they get scammed is that they didn't get enough knowledge before getting involved in anything. I remember my initial days in this industry, it wasn't easy, of course, because there were too many scams around at that time, most popular ones used to be Bitcoin doublers and Cloud mining platforms, that would promise you very high returns for your investments, and people used to lose so much money into those things because they lacked knowledge, and they used to think Bitcoin is a get-rich-quick scheme.

It's been so many years, but even today, if you tell a newbie that there is a platform that allows you to mine Bitcoin online by buying a specific package, and you will get ROI within a month, they will start believing you, because they don't know anything about these things, and that is so wrong. When you get into something, you should start collecting knowledge about it, and make sure that you know each and everything about the industry you are in, so that you don't face problems and troubles for your involvement.

Newbies overlook this, but they don't realize how important it is to have knowledge.

You nailed it with those two statements. If you check very well, the majority of the people who fall into the victim or scam were because of their greed and the belief that there is free money out there. Once you are greedy and want free things, then you become the number one target for scammers. They will sell that idea and information that you so much hope and desire for to you, and you will end up buying and believing it without even giving it a second thought because that's exactly what the person was expecting.

I am actually trying to understand what you meant by dreams, is this a coin or token because talking about dreams being solid is like statement not complete. Perhaps I don't encourage anyone to look at whatever they are being sent on private messages because scammers are running their scamming activities though dm on forum and even any other social media platform we are using. There are people who are so such desperate to utilized every single opportunities they have offered them on pm or any place and those people can really sugarcoat words into people's heart because if they don't know what they are doing they easily gets lured to get scam.

I agree that not even presented opportunities are real especially where the description seems graphically to enticing because, it can be a to lure you. But in other way, when a too looking golden opportunity is served before you, I think being skeptic about it is a safe move but  is it right declining outer Ignorant because sometimes we also good looses good fortunes out of being ignorant without efforts of respect to verify if the opportunity may be legitimate or not before deciding.
I believe this is how most of us have been possible to enjoy the services and provisions of bitcoin after being skeptic about it in an onset while some are missing out while still believe bitcoin is a scam.

I thought that it's something really connected to dreams. But you're right that people shouldn't get bought when someone pitches about their dreams.

And to get that dream, all they have to do is to believe the pitcher and invest the money that they have worked for.

They know how to be connected to their victims and that's why they're using your dreams for you to be so emotional to the point that even they sell nothing but outright scams, you'll get carried away and will bite on the potential scam.

Think about it, when a stranger offers free service just to help you earn a few bucks, as they say, but they never apply it themselves but instead, they aim to make a profit.

It's quite deep what OP meant, but as I understand, never trust people who offer help because they commonly lead you into a scam.  I even personally experienced this when someone PMed me asking if I wanted to have massive income through their exchange, all I had to do was deposit on the exchange and trust their promise to help, which was clearly a scam.

Yes you are right that is very common scam and main goal is to get our trust by promising easy money. Scammers pretend to be helpful but they really just want to take our money. They mostly pressure us to act fast and might even claim that other people have already gotten rich. Simple lesson is to be careful of strangers who offer to help with money as their supposed generosity is almost always trick to get us to give them our cash.

If it is a dream of getting rich, improving your finance and wealth with Bitcoin, also called as Bitcoin dream, why not?

I only agree with you that if it is a dream with altcoins, shitcoins, and scam meme tokens, avoid all of them will keep you and your fund safely. Bitcoin is the only safe cryptocurrency for spending your money and invest with high chance of getting richer over years.

If you are unsure about it, you can look at what the others have been doing, especially Bitcoin Spot ETFs and institutional investors, they choose Bitcoin and consider Bitcoin as a best investment asset in blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Observe, learn from them, and follow their actions can help you investing like an institutional investor, like a pro.

I feel that it is not an old strategy, because basically it is the most important thing to use at any time to avoid the trap of fraud, and we also know that beginners can still fall into the trap, if they do not know the strategy you mentioned. I remember a saying that says "Don't put your money in something you don't know", and it has a fairly broad meaning and the essence of the saying is to stay alert to things that involve money, especially those that sell beautiful dreams, because usually those are scammers to lure potential victims. So, in essence we can conclude that knowledge of what we will do is important and fundamental, in order to achieve what we want, especially also to avoid fraud or scams.

Everyone must limit themselves from interacting with unfamiliar people, especially those who intend to offer help or certain benefits to us. We are in an environment where scammers roam, and we can follow anything to gather a lot of information. However, we must wisely limit our interactions with unknown individuals.
This is also quite vulnerable for those who have businesses to offer services. Choosing clients will be very important.

Before anyone can make a change they first have to dream, many peoples dream reamianed a dream till today because they don't work towards it, dream is the first step we need to take.

The advice you should have given up is people should stop believing in too good to be true dreams, greediness in human awakens once they are sold the impossible dreams, like getting rich in a day.

That you can be rich isn't a fake dream, if you dream it then it's possible but taking the right path is ths best. Don't be sold a dream that doesn't look genuine enough, that's how people get scammed.

it's good to be skeptical and it's really hard to trust in this space but you have to dream if you want to achieve things that nobody else is achieving
huge returns are possible in this space if you know where to look and have the courage to act on your vision

though developing a skil of knowing when somebody is trying to fool you or when something is a scam is a good thing to do, helps a lot in life for the most degen ones

This absolutely true, one has to be skeptical so they don't easily get scammed but the person should be skeptical in a wise way and not stupidly so that they don't miss out in opportunities. For example, some people were advised to buy Bitcoin years ago but they were skeptical because they thought it was a scam but they did not do any research on their own to find out if Bitcoin was worth investing on or not, therefore they missed out the opportunity then. Before I finally agree with anything I don't know about, I must make sure I read about that thing from different sources and also ask people around me if they have idea of it, if not, I will just let go of it.

Using the word "dream" in this thread really got me confused but I think I understand the message you are trying to pass across. Before anyone scams you there are two things involved, it's either you are naive or greedy. Scammers also target at people that are naive or the greedy ones because with all the scams stories everywhere in the internet still greed has blindly many people from seeing when a promise of high returns sounds too good to be true, I have been in the crypto space long enough to know when a scammer is talking to me and I'm obviously not the greedy type neither am I naive hence the reason why I'm not easily convinced to buy anything online that I'm not sure of, and if I see a strange message in my dm about buying something maybe a coin, I will do my research on it and if they sound too good and desperate I first of all allow them to display their stupidity in my dm before leaving the conversation.

Most times, people fall into the hands of scam because they are too greedy and want more from little and most times it’s the newbies that fall more for these scams and I wouldn’t have to totally blame them for this.
I totally agree with op never to buy others dreams especially when it has to do with cryptocurrency because we might just end up messing things up even worst than we could ever imagine.
I think I’ve always said it previously that, everything online should be handled with extra caution especially when it has to do with money, don’t even trust anyone, please do all the findings and verifications you ought to and don’t even be in a hast to conclude without a thorough investigation and evidence.

The dreams that come from the con artists are too beautiful to come true, they must quickly get out of these dreams so as not to get too caught up in the pleasures of fantasy which can lead to losses. The dream of getting rich quick can lead majority of newbies to fall for scammers. Especially, when they are lazy and want to reap from where they did not sow. Imagine a newbie who wants to make money from trading, because he feels that's so easy to make money from trading can fall to a scammer who will claim to be a trader. The scammer will ask them to deposit some funds into an exchange account and gradually collecting more money from them until, they will realize that's a scam when they ask for withdrawal. Don't believe anything to be true on the internet.
