However, I think based on Champions League performance last season and Ballon rating, I think Achraf Hakimi will have the most votes based on his team performance last season and how Morocco performed this n the World Cup qualifiers, he stand a better chance.

And if you're to rank them with how they performed during the last seasons Champions League Performance, Hakimi and  Serhou Guirassy can not be overlooked because they did crazily great for their respective teams. It is exactly one of the reasons my initial ranking went that way. But overall? That ranking remains the same. You'd have to take a close look at thier Champions League ratings and also various league ratings.

Finally, Alex Iwobi might not be my best player when he plays for Nigeria but I will support him nevertheless. This is a great one to celebrate, I had to come celebrate it here.

Congratulations to him I think this is the spirit! Alex Iwobi is a talented player, and it's great to see you supporting him, even I too I still support him in every games and regardless of his performance I will still support him. Well as a Nigerian, it's awesome to see our players making waves on the international stage!

This is what Iwobi's skills and dedication to the game are definitely worth celebrating. When I saw this post it really made my day seeing one of us become legend in the football history.

Let’s be realistic here, the numbers he did last season and also the trophies won too I think Hakimi definitely deserves the award, we are not taking only the champions league performance as the yard stick now but also other factors like the league title, cups, goals or individual achievements we will have the likes of Moh Sallah, Victor osimhen also in contention. Serhou Guirassy might be the highest goal scorer in the champions league too with other players having more goal contribution than Achraf Hakimi but Hakimi contribution goes beyond this stats, he wasn’t just a passerby in his club biggest achievement since its creation but definitely part of the creators of this achievement.
For me it is a great thing for African football that we are even having competitions like this now for the award and a single horse race.

Great achievement for Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi who definitely deserves this, this moves him to 6 place or 5th place in terms of African players with the games played in the premier league, seriously a great number hopefully he gets more and becomes the African highest premier league appearance maker

Snip
The Super Eagles may have a new player from a top Premier League team who is going to be joining them to play and pledging his allegiance to the Super Eagles.

I am talking about Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea.

Who else has seen this news? It could be a good thing for the Super Eagles, a defensive boost to add to the likes of Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, etc.
Even though I have not seen any news like This I am particularly not excited about this news because one Nigeria can't always be a dumping ground for players who refused to play for the super eagles when they were needed and practically been bet by the Nigerian footballing body and most importantly the Nigerian fan,. The reason for this move if it's true is because this player has not been able to break into the English Nation team.and so Nigeria is now the only viable option for him. I don't support this move.

There are allot of talented players, all over Nigeria and even abroad that are praying to have the chance of playing for the super eagles. We should not celebrate and open our hands of fellowship to players who has represented other countries in their youth levels and has failed to make it to the main teams to suddenly turn around and be welcomed by the NFF and the general footballing fans.

Finally, Alex Iwobi might not be my best player when he plays for Nigeria but I will support him nevertheless. This is a great one to celebrate, I had to come celebrate it here.

How, his impact is always felt when he isn't playing for his country so I won't underate his performance for the super egales. He mightn't be the best player out there or able to fill his uncle's shoes but he has his own unique impact on the team. I enjoy him when he's holding the midfield as I prefer him to others.

Him playing the most matches isn't much of an achievement to celebrate considering he has being playing in the premier league for almost forever. He started earlier than the rest and has been moved around different clubs. He has played for some of the best clubs and didn't find much success there especially Arsenal with all the influence he already has as his uncle was already a big name in the premier league.

Well I celebrant his milestone but still we need much more from him to create a legacy for himself.

Mo. Sallah, Victor Osimhen, Serhou Guirassyand Ashraf Hakimi are all individually key play makers in their respective clubs and they all had big influence in helping their clubs won their league trophies

exempt Serhou Guirassy of Dortmund who I recognise his individual brilliance but Dortmund did not had any unique achievement last season in the champions league and league competition.

Overall, A. Hakimi won the champions league with PSG for the first time in the club history and he was  not racist but was vocally instrumental to PSG championship. The Moroccan deserves it more than any of the players on the list this year.

Congratulations to Alex Iwobi, he’s been impressive at his clubs since leaving Arsenal, he’s become a regular starter at Fulham cementing his place as one of the best midfielders at the club, I’m sure he has played more than 90% of all Fulham’s games, this feat is expected Just that it’s unfortunate there’s no title to celebrate it. The three Clubs he’s been at none has won any title in the past years, Fulham always inconsistent with their performance.

Nevertheless he’s a good footballer and Fulham appreciates that, he should just enjoy his game and stay competitive.

Alex Iwobi has been a very important player in any team he played in the Premier League so far, he has done a lot in the premier league since his days at Arsenal, then Everton, and now Fulham; he is one of the most consistent Nigerian in the Premier League to have attained this appearance and remain an important player in his team.

Congratulations to Alex Iwobi his 300 performances has an overall of 32 goals 11 for Arsenal, 6 goals for Everton, and 15 goals for Fulham so far; this shows that he is improving as a player because he is scoring more goals and gaining more experience. He is one of the deadly wingers in premier league that is underrated, but he can drives ball more than your expectations.

Congratulations to our very own Alex Iwobi. As much as I’m not impressed with his performance in the national team I know he’s really great in his domestic club. I believe Manchester United just celebrated Bruno Fernandes 300th game appearance for them and it was big. But that doesn’t compare to what this represents, this is a record for Nigeria.
Congrats to our own Iwobi, i don't seem to have a problem with him in the squad. All our midfielders are not that creative with the passes, our ball tactic usually moves from the wingers, our midfielders plays more like helping out the defense and spreading the ball through the wing than making dangerous astonishing passes.

Iwobi is a great strength to Fulham, he deserves every gratitude from the club. Nigerian players are having great moments with their respective clubs, all are very important players in the squad that makes the first team, we will be delighted to see those similar performances in the Nigerian team in the coming playoff qualification.

He would have been a target for bigger clubs if he has more defensive contributions than he does currently. He is good with carrying the ball and finding spaces for passes, but his defensive abilities is very low. He is one player for Fulham that you can easily get pass with the ball. There is room for improvement, and I hope the experience he has gathered from playing 300 games will all add up to that. There was a question I saw somewhere that if he has done enough to be considered a legend for the Super Eagles? I mean Alex Iwobi, and I do not think so. He is an important player for the Super Eagles, but still very far from the legendary status.

Wow, this seems great for him and our beloved country naija but am a bit surprised that he is the first player in the history of Nigerian players playing in the premier League for some time now that is able to achieve such milestone, what about John obi Mikel?
He spent 10 solid year at Chelsea, it that he wasn't able to play such a huge numbers of games, or he was very close, but was short of this numbers that Alex iwobi has achieved while playing in the English premiere League, or is  there anything am missing?

I was surprised by this as well but I didn’t pry into it. When I saw “first Nigerian player” my mind quickly went to Mikel Obi of Chelsea, Okocha of Bolton Wanderers, and Kanu of Arsenal.  They didn’t make it up to 300 game appearances but they made good of their time in the Premier League.

I had same feeling too that Mikel Obi had similar record or something greater at Chelsea but I quickly rushed and researched to be sure and to my greatest suprise, Mikel had about 249 Premier League appearance although his appearance for Chelsea in general which includes Premier League and other competitions is 372.

Anyways I'm really proud about Iwobi for reaching that milestone, we all know that the Premier League is not an easy one, many who we felt were very good players have experienced the league and failed to succeed, they're too many to mention but Alex Iwobi has survived the tension and pressure in the league it shows that he's a good and important player for his parent team.

Iwobi has really made name for himself in the Epl and international stage. He has stood the test of time and we are glad to celebrate with him. Mikel never had such opportunities possibly because he existed in the era when Chelsea has was packed with very excellent squad. Mikel really made Nigeria proud because featuring up to 249 times in that Chelsea team was a great achievement. Many Nigerians have broken into the premier League first teams. We still have icons like Iheanacho, Ndidi and Moses. So while celebrating Iwobi at 300 appearance, we have to still acknowledge all our icons. Nigeria is a great nation and they produce great people always. Congratulations to Iwobi.

The point they penalized them with was a match point so it wasn't that much to fall them as you think, initially they were the highest so they already got big point so when they minus the one match they still stop at the second with a close to the country that got the favour of going to were they come from, so if it was two match point that was removed from there initial they would have gone home while Benin would have been on the place super eagles is soon to start. South Africa is a determination country because they still return after everything. Featuring unallowed player next time will not be repeated as they have witnessed what there actions could have caused.
The South Africa points deduction could have made South Africa miss a place in the world cup, but the super eagles defeating Benin Republic cleared the road for South Africa to automatically qualify for the World Cup. Yeah, South Africa were determined to qualify for the world cup because they didn't allow their points deduction to break them. After South Africa have seen what their actions could have cost them in the world cup qualification, i believe they will not try to cheat in any tournament since they know the end result if they are caught in the act.

Before I thought that point deducted will do something for the eagles but it clearly didn't do anything for them because it was only turnaround and return back again it did, so the only change in everything was the time Benin entered the first position and it didn't give any favour for eagles because it was the countries they were still hoping to use they met so there wasn't something of losing a match or draw a match to qualify from this but some have not realized that what they are thinking is the reason of eagles hope wasn't the incident that did it for them. We didn't also think about how Benin is taking this qualification failure because they had everything we lack.
I believe it was not only you who saw the South Africa points deduction as a chance for the super eagles to automatically qualify for the world cup; a lot of people thought the points deduction would favour the super eagles. Even if the super eagles didn't qualify for the world cup from the South Africa points deduction, i was happy that such thing happened because it was one of the things that gave the super eagles the drive to be serious in their last 2 matches in the world cup qualifiers. Benin Republic will not kill themselves for not qualifying for the world cup because this is not their first time they have failed to qualify for the world cup.

I can't recall the year again, but I know that it was a World Cup tournament game. Something similar happened to Nigeria Super Eagles. They were almost out of the game in the Qualifiers stage but something happened and they qualified again in the tournament. FIFA likes Nigeria in participating in the world cup and in that time we only said Nigeria gives them more money than other African countries because the crowd the Super Eagles pull to the stadium and as of the. Kanu and Jay Jay were also participating so the stadiums were always fill up.
And this deduction of points from South Africa, reminded me of that event. This will give a chance for the Nigerian club to qualify.

His performance is usually derive from others so if he is the only one then you are going to see a poor version of him. Harry Kane was different because by now he was in the eyes of a lot of clubs so it gives him an advantages.

No, he was born and brought up in England and he's playing in England, that's not abroad. Moving away from him is abroad, same way Harry Kane moved to abroad from England.

If he was any better, bigger clubs would have come for him or Arsenal would have retained him. At the same time he's not bad, he's just average. Moving to Celtic or Rangers where he could win some silverware would boast his career. Or better still focus on his music career.

Iwobi can't go above the club he's at now in the premier league. Lets not forget he was once playing for Arsenal but has downgraded to where here playing now. Maybe he can find success in other leagues but not the premier league. The other players you're referring to went from small clubs to big ones and not the other way round that the career of iwobi is taking. I don't understand why all African players especially Nigerians are killing themselves in the premier League when they can find success with other leagues. Not every player will excel in the premier league so players should look for success somewhere else and still be making the money that they're mostly playing for

Everyone is locked in with men's football and ignoring the women football recent form. They were horrible today, got the first goal in the first half and ghosted in the second half. The NFF has ruined the whole sports, nothing seems to be working on both men's and women's football. It's sad.

On the other News; the Senate has nominated committee to look into the alleged FIFA $1.2m scandal. I was hoping for  better but with those sets of people it's not possible.

Finally, Alex Iwobi might not be my best player when he plays for Nigeria but I will support him nevertheless. This is a great one to celebrate, I had to come celebrate it here.

It is surprising that throughout the reign of players like Yakubu Anyigbeni, Obafomi Martins, Kanu Nwankwo and others, they were unable to reach 300 appears and Iwobi is there already. This got to show how consistent Iwobi has been in the English Premier League.
Congratulations to him. Everyone writes their own history in different ways. He has made a history for himself.

R
