The players are on their way to Morocco for training before the match day. They have just 2 days left to train. The deal-day will decide if Nigeria might stand a chance to qualify for World Cup. I don't know the fate of the super eagles in this match because I know that bitch Gabon and the Nigeria team are preparing for this match so they don't get eliminated too quick. What ever be the outcome we should take it in fate and I don't think I will be betting on this match even though the super eagles has done greatly in the last match against Benin republic.

In Africa it seems the North Africa countries are the ones that value grassroots sports development beyond any other part of Africa and that's what has made some of their players feeling convenient playing in their domestic leagues without desperation to leave for Europe as we do on this side.

I am trying to stay positive and believe that things will change in time. Other regions in Africa will actually have leaders who will see the importance of grassroots sports development and invest in it.

This may just be the turn of North Africa; maybe the south or the west will follow.

If there is investment in our grassroots sport development and these players no longer see a need to go play in other countries, it will have a good effect on the National team.

It's a good attitude to always stay positive but there are certain phenomenons that wouldn't get changed by just being positive about it and this is just one of them, especially in the West African region countries and am narrating this down to my country Nigeria where the NFF are just symbol of corruption where leaders with good intentions for the football and other sports to thrive would or are deliberately not allowed to occupy positions.

Investment in the grassroot sports development in Nigeria isn't the problem. What about the recent saga about the woofing millions allocated to the NFF to build sports facilities in the country, the funds were misappropriated and the facilities the funds were meant for were left unfinished. No investors in their right mind would be moved to invest in such system.

@Mayor of ogba I like your confidence. The Super Eagles improved in the few games they played. However, they are not at a level where you can easily predict that they can defeat Gabon comfortably. All I know is that, the match will be tough since both sides have a good team. But we just pray that the Nigerian side will make it to the finals.  Gabon has never defeated the Super Eagles, and the last time they met, the Nigerian side won by 2 goals to nothing.

I was almost happy of seeing Gabon Meantiond to have the stage with super eagles since they are not South Africa or Ghana we no is mostly countries eagles fears but going to the statistics of Gabon even if they might not have been too known as those I called but they have tremendous winings, if it was optional super eagles should have future with Congo because they're low in statistics than Gabon, although is still inevitable because whomever that wins will have to cross to the next that also won to play for the first position, on that 13th both Cameroon and DR Congo is fixed on the same day.

Anyone who has watched Gabon matches in the World Cup qualifiers will know that the Super Eagles can't defeat Gabon comfortably. Yes Victor Osimhen is the most outstanding player in the team and best finisher, when he's not available his presence is always felt cause there's no one to do the finishing like he does but I can't rely my hope on one player cause he may be the best in the team but only him can't do the job alone, he'll still need to be assisted by his teammates so I'm putting my trust in the entire squad to do everything possible to help their country get to the World Cup. Gabon is a tough football nation in Africa so I don't expect the match to be easy for the super eagles.

Why did FIFA want South Africa referee in Nigeria versus Gabon?

I heard that South Africa was deducted 3 points and goals because of the complaints Nigeria filed against South Africa. South Africa will be the referee in the match.

With Africa Minister of sport spoke openly that he does not wish Nigeria to qualify.

The VAR is from Benin Republic. The country that supposed to qualify easily instead of South Africa easy qualification if Nigeria did not win Benin Republic but Nigeria won the team.

You are right there is no need to but in effort to find out much about this issue since there is a lot of things that is at play and currently we have start to notice some political issues that can affect the Nigeria team to qualify and if the NFF don't do anything is on them to know that Nigeria may risk losing the match and not qualified for the world cup, any ways in three days time we will know the reality of the case

I read the topic you posted about it and to be honest I can’t think of a good reason why FIFA would make such a stupid decision. What are the odds of this being a fair match? I’m not saying that the refs are sure to be bias because I don’t know their past record but you don’t experiment with big games like this. It’s a dumb move by FIFA and I hope they fix it fast. There are good referees that are just as good from neutral countries, they should bring them.

The Gabon players likely have the same opinion about the game and will be all out to ensure that they win as well.

I wish for the Nigerian team that all players have and bring along the same fighting spirit that Osimhen will bring to the field because this is a must-win game for the Super Eagles, and we cannot afford that any section of the team is lagging. Even if it's going to be a narrow win for us, I just want us to win . This is those kind of games you while hoping for the best get yourself ready to seeing tough result but then,  against whatever odds that might come our way, we want to get through this game come Thursday.

There's already pressure and some mind game on ground regarding the hotel the super eagles are being lodged but we refuse to allow us distract us. Let's just know we are playing against not just our opponents but also against a host of other African nations that might be expecting us not to qualify. It's going to be an emotional game but hopefully, the super eagles we soar pass this stage.
