Victor Osimhen is really something. I predicted a 3 nil win in favor of Nigeria but with the news I’m have been reading today about the referee situation, I have to say it’s not looking good for the Super Eagles. Usually when we are going away to play, the home team often come up with ways to mess with our players. They either lock them up in an airport, take them to a poor stadium or try to mess with their accommodation all in a bid to make the players uncomfortable for the game. But now FIFA is against us too? That’s a problem.

I feel like you on this one but the referee news is making things look unclear right now. This match is a must win for Nigeria and the stakes are so high. I also like the 3 nil prediction like we did against Benin with Osimhen leading the charge but this referee news is making me nervous. Having South African refs like Abongile Tom and his VAR team already feels like FIFA is setting us up in this game especially after the issue of South Africa with the ineligible player and their minister saying they do not want us to qualify. I am just hoping our midfield with Ndidi and defense with Troost Ekong will stay strong because if there should be any mistakes from their end, we will be in soup. Osimhen is already a beast but the entire team needs to bring the same energy. Nwabali also needs to be on point because I know for sure the Gabon guys will come hard on us too. So it's definitely going to be a tough game.

I just saw this post on Facebook and if this is really true it’s an insult on the Super Eagles and the Nigerian Football Federation, how can they select or chose such a place for them. These are not just street footballers, there are World stars and wealthy men representing their National team.
The way CAF or FIFA disregard Nigeria in some things is becoming very alarming, first they allowed officials from South Africa and Benin to officiate such a serious match without considering all the bias that may arise.

I think you are getting it all wrong, like the previous posts say that the picture was uploaded by Iwobi to illustrate the current state of things in Africa and things people go through, which he himself came on air to clarify, so as not to be misunderstood.
I will suggest that we always do proper research and findings before we come to a conclusion, because our ways of understanding vary, as someone might have a reason for uploading or posting information about an event, and on the other hand, people out there might read a different meaning to it without a proper knowledge of what message the author is trying to pass across.
So what you are saying here, in essence, is quite different from what really happened or the message the picture is trying to pass across to the people. At least we heard it from Iwobi himself  here.

Well footballers are always thought to play without depending on the referee. If they play well and play what's expected of them it will be difficult for the referee to cheat of make some decisions not in our favor. If we play well there are things that the referee can't just rule out so everything still depends on how Nigeria play. If we had played well from the beginning it wouldn't have result to all this and by now we should have qualified already. The referee being a South African doesn't mean he will be clearly against us, we shouldn't go to the the field with that mindset at all rather we should be focused on winning.
If our players should approach the game well we should be able to win, with Osimhen up front we are a step ahead but he can't do it alone so everyone needs to be at their best. They should be prepared for anything, give their 100% because it will be a tough game, African football has always be strong and physical so they should be prepared.

This type of behaviour is the language the Nigerian government understands.  How can you owe players for several months and expect them to keep quiet? If they don't perform well, the blame should be on NFF and not the players. How many political officer holders will work for several months without pay? It shows the level of mismanagement that exists in government. I am sure the government will respond now fast because they like to act after embarrassment.

I am very sure that if the Super Eagles were treated wrongly by the NFF, they would speak out and not hide anything. However, there is another issue on wrong about allowances and bonuses for the players that the NFF is yet to pay, but I'll share with us later.

You didn’t make more research before making this post. Alex Iwobi never said that was the hotel which they were lodged, he just snapped a picture which was showing the background of where he was staying, we are not just suppose to jump into conclusion that they were lodged there.

We all know that people that were lodge are professional players, and they have there money, am sure if they are not lodged in a conducive environment, they won’t be staying there, they can afford to get hotels for themselves.

I heard Iwobi said he was just feeling bad for the people leaving in the building that’s why he decided to take a picture of it, but the surprising part is that, Iwobi didn’t see people leaving in environment which is worst than that in Nigeria? Undoubtedly, I expect it to be a very tough game just like you said. Both teams are aware that a place in the most prestigious football competition is at stake so you should expect everyone involved to be at their best going into that game. Underestimating any team that reached this stage of the qualifying rounds might also be very detrimental to any of the teams with such mindset. That said, I expect the Super Eagles of Nigeria to get the better of their opponents Garbon come Thursday. They've got all the quality players they need to do that and having a Victor Osimhen who's currently the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League competition I think is an added advantage. Unless for tactical and technical errors, Nigeria should winning this one.

All these social media propagandas are just to give the opponents hope, but is it possible to skip the entire training section? No. For all these players to have traveled to Morocco for that match, they are all prepared for the game because of how well they perform to secure the knockout stage spot in the last minutes of the game, they are also motivated to keep going till they get there.

Another one is that most Nigerians are complaining about the referees, that they are from, South Africa; I don’t see anything bad with it if we can all focus and play the ball.
If the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play just as they played their last game that gave them the spots to the playoff, they can defeat Gabon.

Well as it stands I have noticed our Super Eagles of Nigeria are facing a tough challenge against Gabon! Gabon's team has been impressive in the qualifying rounds, and their experience will definitely make this match a test for Nigeria.

The truth is that it’s interesting how Gabon's group dynamics worked out, with them losing points due to the team that came last in their group. Now, they're looking strong and determined to take on Nigeria.

Sad how social media influences will push propaganda and false information all around social media without doing their due diligence, all in the name of gathering engagements for visibility and monetization of their accounts, it is good the air was later cleared about this , because little things like this  could insight some unnecessary hates and in some cases xenophobic crises because of a narrative seen online that suggests an ill treatment of the other party.

Secondly I think it will be nice if football bodies in Africa can sometimes make statements on issues like this so as to get people to see the real and proper information about things going on at the time of happenings as there has been reported cases of a country treating the other poorly for some reasons best known to them.

Ok there's no problem if they are in a good hotel is fine at least they need to stay in a very good hotel so there mood will be okay for the match in Thursday, super eagles really needs to win that match because it will be our stepping stone if we most qualify for the finals.
The issue of not paying players very well has been our major problem till date they are still owning JJ okocha according to what I heard, Nigeria government has released this funds to the players I still don't know why the NFF always find it very difficult to pay this boys there money what is really going on with this current NFF chairman he has not been doing well since he became the chairman always giving excuses.

With the ongoing situation at the camp and mood of the players right now, I wouldn't spend a cent on them right now- they missed training today and there's just a lot going on at the camp. Not what I expected at this moment in one of our important games.

There's absolutely no reason why the NFF should be owing the players two years game bonuses - this is peak embarrassment.

To be honest with you, I feel for this position the Super Eagles have found themselves just to qualify for the World Cup. No game in this phase is an easy one and base on odds given to both teams or should I say both games, Nigeria and Cameroon are the favorite to get a solid win but when is time to show us why they're the favorite we'd see the smaller side making it hard for both Nigeria and Cameroon. For me I'd still give Nigeria a big win but when it comes to Cameroon vs Dr Congo I'd say is a draw ans if there's a winning it will be a 1nil win.

This is where we are now. After all our prayers and putting our hearts into the upcoming match, this is what we get. It’s been one drama after another. At this point, I’m fed up. The players should just pack their bags and go home, whatever issues with unpaid allowances with the NFF should have been handled properly before now. They wanted until this point where they can hold NFF at the balls to make their demands. As a fan, I’m not happy at all. But I understand how the NFF moves so I don’t entirely fault the players.
