Despite the fact that the NFF is lacking, it's very good to see the team play really well against Gabon. Feels good to say that for the first time in a long time, I was happy to watch the super eagles play. Entertaining football, interesting plays (especially those 1-touch passes i saw in the first half). I only watched the first half when there were no goals and i was impressed. I woke up later to see that we won the game with a good goal matgin. Love to see times like this and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the boys can produce more solid performances like this in the not-so-distant future.

Nigerian super eagles played very well in today's match they really impressed me I was very happy with their kind of play today however I was displeased when they were playing 1 : 1 if not for the extra time the match would have ended draw the extra time was the reason why Nigerian super eagles won the match, Victor osimhen is a very good player he has proven that he is one of the best player in the world right now I have not seen anyone that can be compared to him right now in the world as a striker, I believe Nigeria will qualify for the 2026 world cup, they should just continue being consistent and playing very well I believe nothing can stop them, the level of seriousness in our players is really giving me joy and happiness they are playing with everything they have in them they really want to go to this world cup and they will, congratulations to them today they should keep it up.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria is really lucky to have a striker like Victor Osimhen who has maintained consistency since when he was playing for the Nigeria junior teams till now that he is playing for the senior team. Only few players has been able to maintain such level of consistency in the National team squad. Watching him at the world cup will be a dream come through because this player has given all his efforts to make it to the world cup so i wish they pass through the playoff round and qualify.

He has won the heart of us all, looking how he plays fighting always to get the ball for us to score and win the game. This guy's train almost everyday of the week for their various club sides, they engage weekly matches, so a day boycotting of training wouldn't do anything, those guys are fit to face their opponent's. Where I started feeling bad for the super Eagles was when they didn't qualify naturally from the qualifiers series, I knew anything outside that would be a struggle, and this playoff route is what this guy's are not prepared for, from the beginning, they lost a lot of chances but I just want to hope they stay strong together and win their playoff both the intercontinental.

You are missing the point. While the players individually train regularly with their club sides and keep fit with weekly matches, they do not have the opportunity of playing together as a team so every training section is very crucial to the team development and success.

Regardless of how the players train in they clubs side without team training for a long period before the games, the Nigerian player's will definitely fine it hard to work together as a team since each individual practice on they own, but to some extent, we should start learning how th analyze those things that affects our team most times, they approach to pre match training is very bad at this point in time we best performance is all we need as a team. The Nigeria and Gabon game should be an eye opener for the super eagles although with a 4 goals to 1 winning is quite a positive outcome for the team this time.

Their display against Benin Republic was more spectacular than what I watched today if you ask me, although I cannot deny that they did very well, if they had converted the chances they had in the first half or even if Osimhen converted his last minute clear chance to prevent the game going into extra time, the game would've ended within 90 minutes. Gabon would honestly have preferred that they were defeated 2:1 on normal play than the disgrace they suffered in extra time, a whooping 4:1. I celebrate with the Nigerian team for their win today, it is not easy at all, now we also have a well determined DR Congo to face in the finals, I'm still rooting for the boys.

I don’t think he is been actually talked about less, but definitely the hype hasn’t been loud enough as his performance, this lad is a new generation right back that can do his work both offensively and defensively, in the game against Gabon we were all scared about how the Nigeria defense will actually stop the Pace of Pierre Aubameyang but the game I was just wowed by how Federick had him on the lock down. I can vividly remember the period the Striker was through on goal in the first half and Federick chased him down, I think only people that have actually watched Aubameyang and know how fast he is can see the work done by this lad

For now I think the Right back position seems to be lock down for now, players like Ola Aina if they return back might definitely find it hard to break back into the team if the manager wishes to be just to all players due to their performance

The scene of the match was completely different in the extra time after 90 minutes. Super Eagles increased their attack speed. Especially in the extra time, we saw a great performance from Osimhen. This Nigerian striker was able to score two goals. In the end, Nigeria won the match by a big margin of 4-1. Nigeria is going to face DR Congo in the final of WC qualification.

At the end, the most important thing was the winning, not about how spectacular they were because this play off qualifying series is our last hope of qualifications, so playing nicely is not the most important thing, what we really need is the result which was achieved. Now the next Target is defeating DR congo, if we can achieve victory in that game, we are certainly going to compete for the last qualifying rounds which is intercontinental this time around. I just hope that our super eagles team rose to the occasion and make us proud.

At this point, the only thing we need from the super eagles are consistency in winning even if it comes early minutes into the game or late into the game. A three goal difference in this first leg is something really good and sends fear to our next opposition camp but however, we need to face the next game with a fresh mindset and never allow us get into extra time without going at least two goals up. Osimehn with the brace, we need that energetic performance more than ever not just in the next game but also in subsequent games to come.

This is that moment where we all unit and send everything positive to the super eagles in all Thier games and wish them the very best of games both against Thier next opponent and when they get to the continental stage.

Now we sit back and watch Cameroon v Congo, to find out which of them we are going to face on Sunday, in other to qualify for the Fifa Play-offs. That game is currently 0-0 at half-time, and we'll see how the second half goes and which team is going to face Nigeria.

It is 90 minutes already and Cameroon is losing by one goal and I'm happy about that. If the match ends this way, then Nigerian will be meeting DR Congo which is easier for the Nigerian team to beat than Cameroon because Nigeria does not have much advantage over the Lions of Cameroon if you check their head-to-head. Seems tonight comes with lots of surprises because Ireland is also beating Portugal two goals to zero in their world cup qualifiers fixture.

Even if Nigeria does not have much advantage over Cameroon, it would have been better if Nigeria played against Cameroon in play off finals because i observed that the present D.R. Congo team is stronger than the present Cameroon team, and they will be a tough opponent for Nigeria in the play off finals. If Nigeria can beat Benin Republic and Gabon, they can do the same thing to D.R. Congo in play off finals. Yesterday i was only surprised with the out come of Ireland and Portugal game, but as for Nigeria vs Gabon and Cameroon vs D.R. Congo, i was not surprised with the out come because the teams that won are meant to win.

Yeah Osimhen is good and contributing positively to the team but isn't it more better to applaud the whole team instead of singlehandedly pick one player out of the rest to praise? The Super eagle turn up for the game yesterday against all odds and came out victorious. Of course, Osimhen has written his name boldly on the board that earned him respect and recognition but I don't us to give a sense of inferiority to the remaining players. Everyone of them contribute fairly to make it happen yesterday. Even Iwobi that we normally see as a weak player held our midfield firmly yesterday. Apart from Aubameyang I don't know any reputable player in the Gabon team that are capable of making it difficult for the supper eagles.

You are right, all the credit should not be going to victor osimhen since he is not the only one that did  the job yesterday, but we should not forget that our super eagles team plays more better when he is in the team than when he is not.
Furthermore, we should not be too excited because nothing has been achieved yet, we first needs to beat Dr congo and comes out among the top two teams in the intercontinental playoff before we can celebrate fully, not now that nothing has been achieved.
