You miss the tough part of the game guy, because victor osimeh score 2 goals as he did in the last game. super Eagle of Nigerian make us proud yesterday, because people nearly give up on super Eagle that they will lose the game when Gabon equalized the game 1:1. But those players really show the real identity of Nigerian be the giant of Africa yesterday by using the extra time to add more 3 goals to beat Gabon 4:1. This can only be the effort of their coach who brought them from their various clubs to come and play for super Eagle, because he was the one that invited those potential players to assist super Eagle to fight this world cup qualifiers.

Super Eagle can do the same thing to DR Congo, and it will make many clubs to start searching for those super Eagle players to sign, because they are playing game like Bayern Munich players.

Nobody is disputing the fact that Victor Osimhen scored a brace in the game but also note that he missed to clear cut chances before he was able to do something in the added extra time. Frederick was instrumental alongside Bassey but no one is calling them much because there's Osimhen. That's the thing about football. We have the front liners who showcase their skills and everyone is happy for them and we have those who are behind the scenes but equally play important roles and that's the part the likes of Benjamin Frederick and Bassey played.

He was responsible for that beautiful assist layed for Victor Osimhen and that goal sealed the game. He did not just do that,  but he was also responsible for caging Per Emerick Aubameyang all throughout the game. His intelligence and brilliance has brought about a formidable partnership with Calvin Bassey. His rise to the national team should inspire the next generation. He mist have worked extremely hard to get to this level. He deserves the constant call up and also a better club. Congo 🇨🇩  will be hell difficult. I hope they're ready.

I get what you’re saying—sometimes a player only gets noticed after they’ve made a name abroad, like Ihienacho did in England. That can create a bias where we wait for the big‑name before giving someone a chance in the Super Eagles.

Scouts should keep an eye on consistent performers in lower leagues, not just the headline‑grabbers.

Just like Nigeria Cameroon are gradually fading away in international football that's why these two nations that were once considered as the continent big names are now struggling to feature for the FIFA world cup. In the past when the world cup is approaching you can guess the nations that will represent Africa but now it is almost impossible because the big nations that once dominated the continent football has been eaten up by corruption. That's why they are now struggling to qualify. If it were before who are DR Congo to knock out Cameroon in world cup qualifier match.

You're right, just imagine the Nigerian national team is still been owed outstanding salaries, it's not like the money is not there by it has probably been embezzled as usual by few people within the NFF. It would have been worse if they had lost, but with this victory they have hope of qualifying, because in my opinion Gabon was more problematic than Cameroon or Congo. I think Nigeria can beat Cameroon or Congo without much difficulty. I don't see Nigeria losing to Cameroon, I don't see Nigeria losing to Congo. Today's victory sounds like almost guaranteed qualification. Cameroon is unstable and so is Congo. If Nigeria loses against Cameroon or Congo it would be a very bad joke.

it is not true congo and Cameroon are even more stronger when compared to  Gabon. Gabon I think this should be there first of coming this far and they were able to hold Nigeria to a draw. Nigeria meeting any of this two clubs, Cameron or Congo the match will be a tough one. The supper eagle really needs to step up in there pattern of play. If not for the additional 15 minutes they missed so many opportunities. Even oshimen missed one on one , a goal that would have ended the match at exactly 90 minutes.

The Gabonese in terms of action on the field can't be compared to Cameroon and Dr Congo's, I have seen these respective teams play and among them all Dr Congo is who I fear and wasn't praying to meet against Nigeria but unfortunately, Cameron couldn't kick them out. It's definitely gonna be a tough game for Nigeria when they go against Dr Congo than what Gabon was like. The Congo players are fast, can attack and with a good defense. I think the Dr Congo game will be the hardest game for Nigeria in the playoffs.

Every player should be commended yesterday because it was their collective effort as a team that brought about the big win for Nigeria. Nigeria actually messed up in the match even before the extra time, they ought to have finished the game earlier and the match wasn’t suppose to go into the extra time. It was a wonderful match since in the end they were able to bring the victory back home.

Victor Osimehn missed some good chances, but he was able to recover back those missed chances in the extra time. He should learn to convert the chances he gets, because sometimes they don’t come again and will be a regrettable thing for them. I am looking forward to their Sunday match against Congo. After Congo defeated Cameroon in the final minutes of their game, I felt a bit relieved that Nigeria won’t face a very tough team, hopefully they take advantage of this to get a win. I commend the game of the national team, I hope their hard work pays off by next year to see themself book a spot in the finals.

Everybody knows that the entire team played well and we all praised the entire team. But there is a "star" player in every football team, something like a "poster boy", there is nothing wrong in that. City have Haaland and he gets a lot of the praise, it does not mean their victory is not for the entire team. Real Madrid have Mbappe. Etc.

That said, we should not concern ourselves with things like this. Right now it is all about our game against Congo on Sunday, whoever gets their face on the "poster" does not matter. I can't wait for Sunday, and i am very optimistic about our chances of victory and qualifying for the playoffs.

Victor Osimhen is writing his name on the sands of time. He keeps pulling up suprises and I guess he may strip every record held by any former players. He is a goal poacher and a warrior. How super eagles crushed Gabon in 30 minutes is very pathetic. I pity poor Aubameyang who boasted to beat Nigeria in this game.

Yeah Osimhen is good and contributing positively to the team but isn't it more better to applaud the whole team instead of singlehandedly pick one player out of the rest to praise? The Super eagle turn up for the game yesterday against all odds and came out victorious. Of course, Osimhen has written his name boldly on the board that earned him respect and recognition but I don't us to give a sense of inferiority to the remaining players. Everyone of them contribute fairly to make it happen yesterday. Even Iwobi that we normally see as a weak player held our midfield firmly yesterday. Apart from Aubameyang I don't know any reputable player in the Gabon team that are capable of making it difficult for the supper eagles.

Nigeria football team was very exciting in the last match as they did back to back goals in this match abd three players of that team did well in this match opponent team could not do more than one goal in this match. Adams was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 78 minutes of the match when it was requirement of the match because no team could do any goal in the first half of the match. Osimhen was a person who bent the match to their sides because he did last two goals of the match and did his first goal at 102 minutes and after 8 minutes we saw goal again by that player.Opponent team player did goal at 89 minutes of the match and their defense system was very weak in this match.

Nigeria will face DR Congo on 16th November this year. Based on Nigeria’s previous performances, I believe we still stand a strong chance of winning. However, football is unpredictable, so for those interested in betting, I recommend going for goal related options instead of a straight win.

What you said is right because if they should play like this against Congo I don't think if winning will be possible. In the match they played against Gabon , they missed so many opportunities of scoring goals. Oshimen missed two goals and this would have ended the match , despite scoring two goals those goals he missed he wasn't supposed to miss them. The super eagles were lucky that Gabon wasn't there match, every opportunity should be properly utilised. They really need to go and do a thorough scrutiny so that some of the mistake that they made won't repeat. Nigeria really needs to qualify for this world cup

Without any form of prejudice, I will have to say that you are right. Gabon depended so much on an aging striker Aubameyang.  A team with a sound attacking force would have gotten at least two goals. And this would have been a punishment for our wastefulness. Imagine Osimhen missing multiple chances with the goalkeeper. The Nigerian defence did well, always supporting the attack and returning very fast.

Congo has a young squad, which means they can come up with surprises.  Super Eagles' remedy will be maximising most of the chances they will create. Victor redeemed himself by his brace, Nigerians would have blamed him if we had lost that game.

Another challenge is Nwabali. He keeps making silly mistakes that might result in a regrettable event.

Your observations on the players are very accurate. Nwabali should be cautioned as he has been acting carelessly these days. Osimhen too missed opportunities that could have kept us ahead of the Gabon team till the match was over, but anyway, he remedied his lapses by also scoring two goals, which gave us a good boost ahead almost to the match's end.

I swear our fans need to understand that every football club has that "poster boy" in their club who can single-handedly change games, whose teammates turn to when the team is in trouble - that person for our national team right now is Osimhen, and we've had many others in the past, like Okocha, Kanu, Mikel, Emineke, Osaze, and Martins (in no particular order).  Osimhen is more than a team player right now; he is the team and the sole reason we are in the playoffs; I don't mind seeing him posted every day as long as we get the results

The games he got injured and didn't play is the reason we're struggling to qualify through the playoff, if he was available for those games we'd have qualified directly.

My other biggest concern about this DR Congo is for the super eagles not to underrate them because many are actually thinking this is a easy game we got but that’s not the case it’s the most tricklest fixture we have

Good game and a good result for the Super Eagles. I was really surprised to see the final score was 4–1 because I had already switched off my TV in anger when Victor Osimhen missed that golden chance to finish the game in the last minute of the second half.

Thank God they still won. It would have been a different story for the Super Eagles if they had failed to beat Gabon. But in the end, they played well, took their chances, and got a strong win. Kudus to Victor Oshimen! He's actually writing his name in the history book of the Nigerian National Team.

I see know reason underestimating the performance of DR congo in the play off game against Nigeria, its true Cameroon of before are more challenging in situations like this but for the fact that DR congo where able to scale through against Cameroon still proves there supremacy  over Cameroon and can still be productive against the Super eagles of Nigeria. The Nigeria's team this season are faced with consistency issues and finds it difficult winning games apart from the surprising win they had in there last game against Benin republic when victor osimhen proved his quality by netting an unexpected hat trick, so I don't think we should be fast in concluding because anything can happen in that game at last

After watching this video of this guy The Big Bird I totally gave up on our NFF, they are not trying in any way to improve anything concerning the Super Eagles, Super Falcons etc and it pains me to say this that our football system is gradually dying and the talent we have is like a curse to us, even with all the money they have things can't be done right in our football system.
