This people has started with their motivation that will not reach anywhere making players to get annoyed after they have scored several goals and not get the rewards that was promised. This is a move to make the players to play to their best so that they can qualify for the world cup. This is the time these players need to be motivated so that they can win this match with Dr Congo.

I am well convinced that Nigeria will beat Dr Congo this evening although I have plans to bet on Nigeria winning this match because it is a mere hope for Nigeria to prove themselves that they are fit enough to qualify even with the previous mistakes they have made in the past of not winning majority of their matches. That’s really a good motivation but i don’t really like the idea, I know it’s going to encourage every player to score in the match, but also it’s going to cause selfishness in the match, some players are suppose to make assist, but since they have price tag for each goal, they will want to score which they might end up missing lots of chances.

The National sport commission should have just given them a fix amount of money which they will be giving each player if they end up winning the match. Instead of paying them per goal, they should just promise each player maybe $30k or $50k if they can win the match, am sure that’s going to encourage every player, and their target will be how they going to work together to get a win in the match.

I beg the differ, I think it will draw out their best cause the money is not for the goal scorer but for the whole team, my question is what if the truly do score a goal and still lost, will they still be commissioned 🤔🤔 I wonder, well anyways, I wish them the best

The commission is not for the individual who scores but for the whole team, I think this way is better, but then again, it will make them not to play safe, they'll be looking for goals and might forget to guard their defense, but then again, I think it's truly a good motivation

This is how you know a corrupt institution. They prefer to steal the money and share amongst themselves, and then give to the players, to make it seem like they're taking care of the players. They will rather play politics with the money than do the actual job the money was meant for. I don't understand these people.

I don’t think the money will just be given to the player that scores a goal, but to all of the team for every goal they are able to score, and if that’s the case, it is a good way to motivate them in this game. But when we come to think of it, they owed them some bonuses before their last games which they cleared some days to the game. If they have such a big amount of funds with them to give them to share, then who would they owe them money before.

The dots are not connecting and I hope they fulfill their promise at the end of the game because Nigeria stands the better chance to prevail in this game more against their opponent. They just need to have that team spirit in them to get a win in this match, they have the best squad they want at their disposal, they just have to make use of them well to their advantage in this game which I believe they will. That's the problem with them. Personally, I think that the players are not even playing with their hearts for the country, they are playing well so that bigger clubs will see and notice them and possibly contact their agents for possible transfers, because it's in international competitions like these that scouts go to watch out for players. Most of the guys earns reasonable amount of money that's why as they are been owed salaries, they seem not to be bothered about it because they have their weekly wages coming from their respective clubs, that's what I think.

Nigeria with an early goal from Frank Onyeka, a goal scored within the first five minutes of the game. An important goal for the Super Eagles so they can be in better control of the game and unsettle DR Congo with whatever tactics they have. A second goal will be important for the team at the moment to take off the pressure on them.

I will not be part of those who criticise Eric Chelle for the changes, I think he has done a good job with these players even though there is still more work to do.

I already explained that in a previous post and as you mentioned this is an obligatory step to pass to the intercontinental play-offs for Nigeria. That's all. They will not qualify directly to the World Cup. There is a couple of games remaining and good luck for them.

Scoring at that early minute has increased the confidence spirit of the Super Eagles, what they need now is a second goal to beat the back of the camel and throw DR Congo into a state of confusion. Frank Onyeka is trying to bring his name in the spotlight because i could remember Nigeria versus Benin match where Nigeria won by 4:0, it was this Frank Onyeka that scored the fourth goal. Good to see players who have like mind as Victor Osimhen. Wish they could score 2 before half-time so that when they return for the second half they won't be stressing themselves too much again.

Already the score line is 1-1. Both sides are really going at it. So far I think the problem the Super Eagles have is the defense. Ndidi has been absolutely awful in this game I hope the manager substitute him in the second half. Alex Iwobi and Lookman have also been poor in this game.

This is one of the most entertaining and competitive football match I’ve watched Nigeria play in a while now. The both teams are doing very well, though Nigeria should have been atleast 2 goals ahead but their decision in the final third has been failing them. Ademola Lookman has been a shadow of himself this season, he needs to get his confidence and technique back, a lot of his decisions this night has been poor and wrong.
I’m still hopeful the Super Eagles can come out victorious.

In the first half of the game Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze performed below my expectations, so many errors coming from both players and some chances they should have converted to goals was wasted by the two players. Our coach should change both players so that Victor Oshimen will have the chance to score in this game because Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze is not creating enough chance that could see them cross the ball.

The first half of the match has ended, and currently the match is draw. The super eagles had their early goal in the match, after the super eagles scored, I was thinking the match won’t really be difficult for them, but D.R Congo were able to get a  equalizing goal, and the match is currently 1-1.

The second half of the match is not really going to be a easy one, I don’t know who will be winning the match, but I just think the super eagles should be able to get a win in the match, am not really confident in them, because the super eagles are full of surprises, they might end  up playing poorly in the second half of the match. But it’s going to be annoying and disgraceful if the super eagles don’t qualify for the World Cup.

This motivation holds no water. We all know it's the media hype. We know how exactly it's going to end. It's a bunch of empty promises. They've come out to the media to look as though they're encouraging the players, even the players themselves knows these are just empty promises and wouldn't bother about it. NSC should start encouraging them by paying their salaries and bonuses as supposed before they can be trusted enough to redeem these kind of motivations. They're really doing a very bad job at managing these players bearing in mind that they're not home based players but players that earn much more than these peanuts they present as motivation which they'll end up not redeeming.
