The only good thing about this elimination is that many of these incompetent members in our NFF will have to answer some questions why we didn't make it to the fifa world cup that will be going on in the US/Canada next year considering the quality and talent at our disposal.

I've been a football fanatic for the last 25 years and I'm not surprised of a result the super eagles got. I've already said it before now that the route to which we are using to qualify for the World cup at the moment is one of the most difficult, there are countries before now like Argentina that came through playoff to win the World cup but it was not an easy journey.

the super Eagles of today don't have the technical skill to go through that route easily, if you watch carefully all our qualifier series from the beginning it was difficult for them to win matches easily. The fire power we have is different from the days of yekini Rashidi, Kanu a.k.a papilo and the finidi George of those days. If we had successfully won DRC Congo, we would have still had some difficulties with the intercontinental playeroff too.

Honestly, it’s even better that we got eliminated this way than for us to go to the World Cup and embarrass ourselves by getting knocked out in the group stage. There was no sign of seriousness at all from our team. Just look at the Congo team, everybody could see the fighting spirit in them. They were hungry, determined, and ready to give everything on the pitch. Meanwhile, we were moving like a team that didn’t really understand what was at stake. It’s painful, but maybe this is the kind of outcome that shows how much work we still need to do.

Well said. Nigeria had many chances to win the games since the beginning of the qualifiers and they just messed up everything. They had to wait for a sanction against South Africa to get a chance to enter the play-offs. South Africa saw a three points deduction which allowed Nigeria to be here in the first place.
Super Eagles didn't perform well in their games, got a boost to improve their ranking and not being eliminated since the beginning, played play-offs and most people thought they qualified after that early goal but unfortunately they returned home.

Well I know super Eagles wasn’t going to qualify for the playoffs of the World Cup and I know they’re not going to be at the World Cup, because a team that is serious to qualify for the world cup was going to qualify from the group stages, because when you look at the teams that qualified from the World Cup it was more like an automatic qualification as group winners, DR Congo deserved to win that game on 90 minutes, Nigeria was only lucky that they didn’t concede any goal in regular time, and I don’t know why the manager has to takeoff all the creative players on the pitch and the game was quite boring to even watch like this players was never ready to play football, now I think everyone have to relax and rest from this Super Eagles.

Going by the performance that the super eagles put up yesterday against the Congolese they didn't deserve to go to the world cup because , am just trying to imagine the kind of performance that they would have put out in the world stage when we can't even comfortably beat teams from the African region. The better team won we as a country is playing politics with everything our football is been managed by people who are not ready to develop football but only concerned about what they can get that, is why we are seeing a lot of allegations of misappropriation of funds. The way forward for Nigeria football is simple there should be grassroots development of football which will trickle down to our league. There is nothing to say when we both see how Nigeria has failed. Nigeria is a national team with football that makes it known throughout the world. Players from there have spread to all football teams in the world.
But it will be done when luck is not on Nigeria's side but more on DR Congo's side.

To to be honest I registered watching Super Eagles yesterday, the Eagles was just playing as if they haven't played football before, the most annoying part was penalty kick. What a poor performance from the Super Eagles, it would have even more better they don't get to this stage than bringing shame to the Nigerians yesterday, I didn't see any good performance from Osimhen, in fact the players played rubbish.

Super Eagles really disappointed us yesterday, and sincerely speaking nobody expected Such a poor performance from Nigeria super Eagles, DR Congo players really dealt with super Eagles last night what a big shame to Nigeria, after all the mouth Nigerians made online, super Eagles couldn't deliver Nigeria, although something was fishing in that match, because I don't know what really entered the super Eagles coach head that made him to substitute Victor osimhen, Alex iwobi, Ademola luckman and Samuel chukwueze who are key players of super Eagles in the second half, which the second half was when we really needed those key players he substituted. It wasn't our day bro. DR Congo played with fear during the first but Nigeria failed to utilize that opportunity in the first half. If you noticed, Congo were playing defensively in the first half because of Victor Osimhen but they started attacking Nigeria when Osimhen was substitute in the second half with all their might. Osimhen presence alone is what we needed because it has a great influence but I don't how or when he sustained injury that led to his substitution. Our players need a serious training on penalty kick, those penalties were too poor from professional players but what more can we expect from defenders leading the penalty kick?

I watched the match myself, but I was disappointed. The stadium was nearly empty. Even on a neutral field, it's surprising how empty the stands were.

Nigeria started well but finished poorly. The Democratic Republic of the Congo fought hard. The winner was decided by a penalty shootout. The Nigerians were unlucky and took poorly.
Osimhen's dream is to qualify for the 2030 World Cup. A team like Nigeria should have finished in the group stage.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it that the Nigeria Super Eagles are not ready to play for Nigeria. What kind of poor performance was that? Nigeria played well in the first half of the match and after they came back for the second half, they started playing poorly, I don't even know if it was Nigeria players who are playing for top teams in Europe. The reason I keep saying the players are not ready is because some of them play for their clubs, then return to Nigeria and start playing terribly.

Nigeria Super Eagles shows that they can not play well without Osimhen. I will also blame the coach for what happened yesterday because he took off all of the attackers and did not consider putting those players who are good at playing penalty kicks. It is a shame to see Nigeria not playing in the World Cup in 2026, it has been many years since Nigeria has played in the World Cup, and the players have shown no concern about it.

To this day you watch football matches with emotions you can quickly suffer heart attacks from high blood pressures and to a greater degree, Nigeria matches notably should not be watched with attachments. Just enjoy the entertaining moments and that it goes in the approval of Nigeria then cool, if it does not you still be fine.

Eric Chelle's discretion to take off Victor Osimhen was too early for the time left to play in the match, you are correct, but the Nigerian national team, is it not very shameful to process it that the whole team can not make a striking remarkable performance without Victor Osimhen in a match, what makes them a team?

When a whole team depends on only one player for survival, this is the kind of shits that hell be happening and we should not be too surprised about it. So unfortunate for the Nigerian team not to qualify ending their career at the mid stage when they supposed to do something energetic that will bring ultimate winning. I lost my bet but that shouldn't be a problem and I am happy the whole team can now go and rest.
