Sure, this is going to be a tough match and I would watch it. Both teams have the ability to win the matches.

The bookies gave both teams high odds thereby making it very tough to predict but then i think I'll go for South Africa even though I have this feeling that it could be a draw match, so to be on a safer side maybe I'll pick the win or draw options for South Africa since they're the favourites to win.

Even though the game have ended and south Africa won it 2-1, without blinking an eye, I will give south Africa a straight win. Those guys before now are formidable, I saw their graph during the World cup series, they were in the same group with Nigeria, trust me those guys n qualified with on merit even with three points deduction, and sincerely their style of play is more confrontational Angola, so ordinarily I knew south Africa had the upper hand.

Salah is not in the best form of his career as he was last season, so I am not expecting much from him in the AFCON for Egypt. I personally don't consider Egypt as one of the contenders to win the AFCON this year because there are other teams in a better position than they are, even though some people have them as the number one choice.

I think teams like Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and even Morocco, the host, have a better chance.

You are actually right because the scoreline is actually surprising, especially considering the gap in experience between the two teams. But just as you said, this is football, and AFCON in particular is known for producing unexpected results because every team comes in highly motivated and well prepared. It is still early in the game, and Egypt have both the quality and experience to turn things around. On paper they are the stronger side, and that should eventually reflect in their performance but looking at payers like Salah and the senior figures in the squad need to take responsibility, and create more clear chances. Losing an opening match would put unnecessary pressure on Egypt for the rest of the group stage, so a comeback is very important.

Zimbabwe taking the lead in that game was the biggest mistake of Egypt knowing how strong the Zimbabwean defense is, it makes the Egyptians having difficult time to win this game as they would have if they had being in the leading position against Zimbabwe. However, Egypt has made an equaliser, thanks to Omar Marmoush it's now 1:1 and 73 minutes gone already, doesn't seem like there would be any winner in this game because both sides are playing with caution not to lose their first leg of the tournament.

Tuesday by 4:30PM WAT, it will be Nigeria vs Tanzania.
Many predictions has Nigeria as favourite to win, and this is because Tanzania has never won a single game in the AFCON for the number of times they have being participating. Their best results has being a draw.

South Africa is a better team than Angola is, so there way little hope on the side of the Angolans to win this game. South Africa should be the one that deserves the win more because of their level of competitiveness. We have seen how they played in the World Cup qualifiers and that shows how good they are and well coordinated as a team to win games from their first matches. I commend their game today and also congratulate them for a victory in their opening games in the AFCON competition. Looking forward to see how they perform in the coming games for them in the competition as the competition is getting more intense.

Of course, South Africa is way stronger than Angola for sure, even when the score was 1:1 i still believed that South Africa will win. Normally, all those teams that performed so well and qualified for the world cup will do well in the nations cup because they are playing with so much confidence and the feelings that comes with knowing that they will be playing at the world cup is another good boost. Look at the teams that played so far; Egypt, Morocco and South Africa, they have all won their first matches in the AFCON. South Africa was very exceptional at the world cup qualifying stages so they should be replicate that same performance at the Nations cup.

There was never going to be a way the Egypt coach was going to drop Salah on the bench unless he wants the fans rebels against him. If Salah is not treated fairly in club side, his country of origin will never do that to him. Salah is regarded as a king in Egypt and it will forever remain that way. Egypt won today narrowly at the end, Zimbabwe as always tries to play the tough opponent and they really tried in getting the first goal of the match before Egypt equalised through Omar Marmoush.
This is good for Egypt seeing their stars leading from the front with goals. The two biggest footballers in the team won them the match today. Mo Salah in all his glory days has never won the AFCON even as Egypt are African Highest Champions, and he’s been to two AFCON finals. Egypt should try this time maybe the third time is the charm.

This was one game that I wasn’t really convinced there would be a win in this, I felt the most that could result from it was a draw, with Zimbabwe haven’t taken the lead from the first half and held on till later in the second half. I did expect few a goal from Egypt at some point but, for them to have not only scored but, attempt successfully a come back and win, that was a wonderful performance from Egypt.

Egypt managed to beat Zimbabwe in their opening match in AFCON. One important thing to note is that Mo Salah actually did score.
Another thing to look out for is how often Liverpool will win without Salah.
Another thing is how many goals Salah will be a le to score without Liverpool.
Maybe, this AFCON is going to provide the solution to Liverpool's poor performance.
