I'm a bit disappointed that there wasn't a pool for this. I'm busy as fuck or I'd have done one already. Not that I needed another place to throw my money into a black hole to never see again. Just always feel like there are some traditions on this forum and AFCON was a relatively new one to do (and I won last season's pool haha)...

Against Tanzania I see the Eagles winning this  game. Tanzania are good but they can't compete with Nigeria squad level. So my prediction for this is Nigeria 2-1 Tanzania. They messed up by not qualifying for the World Cup although they've apologised for it so I expect that they should use this tournament as a compensation for their mess in the qualifiers, it would be so lovely if they start by winning Tanzania with lots of goals, 3 atleast. I watched a clip of Osimhen tendering apology to the spectators and also promised to give his best to help the team succeed, I believe he'll do better in this tournament and im expecting him to score. I don't see Tanzania as a big deal for Nigeria, even the bookies rate Nigeria above them, it would be so disappointing if Nigeria doesn't win.

It’s going to be a very tricky first group game for the super eagles, as everyone is expecting them to win the match easily, a draw is not even acceptable by the fans in this game. The pressure is on Nigeria to start delivering the result early in this group stage  so as to qualify from the group easily and avoid late dramas just like their previous World Cup qualifying campaign matches were they struggled to win matches early on, and got themselves in a really complicated situation where they start solving some mathematics to see if they can qualify but by then they were running out of time as the other teams in the group have already stacked up enough points. They need to take every match in this group stage seriously so as to avoid what happened during the World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria have the best of squad in this game and they should not joke in this game and not take chances. From their World Cup qualifier games, we saw how they misused chances and ought to have won in many matches they played in the early rounds of the qualifiers. They shouldn’t replicate that same poor form in this game or it’ll cause them not a good journey in the AFCON. We have just few minutes to the start of the game, let’s see what the super eagles have to show us in this game. A win should be what they should go for and not even a draw because a win is most deserving of them seeing their both squads in the game.

Already we all know how deadly Senegal are when it comes to this AFCON tournament, they are former champions and they are among the team I am tipping to go very far in this AFCON edition. Nicolas Jackson has already scored two goals so far which has made him the top scorer of the tournament. I know Chelsea fans will be wishing he never left since they are short of striking powers. With the way things are going, Chelsea might recall Jackson to Stamford bridge next season.

Okay... I will be watching the Nigeria vs Tanzania match, it looks like an interesting match especially for Nigeria this is one of the tournaments they have to win after failing to qualify for the World Cup.

This is a game I did expect Nigeria to win because tanzania is not in the same league as Nigeria. As we can all see, it's only the Nigeria team asking all the questions, and they have already struck the bar with a header from a Conner kick, but so far they have been unable to break the deadlock, but with the way things are going, it's very obvious that it's just a matter of time before the first goal goes in.
Additional, our brightest player so far is chukwu eze , and he has really been a menace from the middle in this game.

The super Eagles that I know don't play quick football, they play individualistic pattern of play especially at first stage of a competition, well I think it's from probably the second or third leg that you begin to see a certain pattern of play they will adopt, however they are leading 1-0 and it's over 42 minutes of play. From what I'm seeing here, the super Eagles are likely to score more as they've been more Domineering in their approach.

This is a very safe bet and Something I can invest heavily on. It is half time and Nigeria is one goal up which means the match with the highest odd is already 50% closer to success. It is a good bet because Arsenal will defeat Crystal Palace with at least two goals tonight and there is no way Uganda can stop Tunisia from scoring in that match. Tanzania don't have an impressive record in the AFCON, I just checked their previous stats in the tournament and it's nothing to place a finger about, therefore this is a game Nigeria should win conveniently with many goals like a walk in the park. I consider it that it's a free 3 points for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their first game, 37th minutes before the first goal in this game for Nigeria came too late, I think if it were Senegal or Morocco against Tanzania the goals would have being more than 1 before the 37th minutes.

Wonderful match for Nigeria they are doing very well and as expected they are winning the match in the first half and I believe that in the second half Nigeria will score more goals, Nigerian players are doing very well the determination they are using to play this match shows that them not qualifying for the 2026 World Cup really annoyed them and I believe they will do everything possible to lift this year African Cup of nation, Nigerian football team is a very good one because they have a lot of good players but one of our major problem is the Nigerian football federation they are doing a lot of Evil That is causing the boys not to play well sometimes for example not paying them their allowances on time.

Nigeria should win in a landmark victory due to their superior squad depth and victory is up ahead. Nigeria victory is certain as we have quality players who surpassed Tanzania. My prediction for this game is 4-0 win and above, I am optimistic that Victor osimhen will score hat-trick in this match. I am expecting Chukwueze to score, he is a goalie and one of Nigeria finest player.  Super Eagles victory will be loud beside they are the best on the continent.

Nigeria is playing a very good game but poor in utilizing their chances, the chances they have in an the first half by now they should've had like five goals in Tanzania net but they were wasting them. Nigeria defense is very solid and of course we should expect that because Bassey is the one coordinating the defence and he's very good at it.

The second half is ongoing Tanzania equalized, but Ademola Lookman scored again within a minute putting Nigeria back in the lead by a goal.

Interesting first half, but the second half seems to have a better rhythm. Just when the Tanzanians thought they've leveled it, Lookman of Atalanta gave Nigeria the lead again with a brilliant strike. The quality in this Nigeria attack is definitely going to get them all 3 points I believe, though there are a bit flaws in the DM to defense area, but I think they can manage that. One player I have enjoyed so far is Chukwueze of Fulham. Dude is literally playing like he's in the premier league right now. There's is more minutes to be played, so let's see what happens.
