Congratulations to you. Nigeria won their game, scoring two goals - Home team over 1.5 settled. I am very sure Arsenal will also win their game against Crystal Palace, which will start very soon.

That of Tunisia as well, over 1.5 is a safer odd there. Although you have to stake big if you want to win a sizable amount.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have started the tournament really well with a 2-1 victory over Tanzania, this is a very good and important win because the Super Eagles of Nigeria is known for underrating opponents before now which was the reason they didn’t make it to the World Cup that will be coming up next year, but the players are all ready for this competition and we have seen it in their opening match.

People that bet on Nigeria to win all won their tickets because most people believe that Nigeria will win, but bookmakers make the did a bit bigger so as to encourage others and for the fact that the Super Eagles of Nigeria didn’t perform well in the World Cup qualifiers and the Super Eagles shocked them with a victory this evening.

Super Eagle performance isn't that poor, they played a good game but scoring was their problem, they had several opportunity to score like five to six goals but wasted them. What pains me about Super Eagles today is the goal they allowed Tanzania to score because with Tanzania performance in my opinion they didn't deserve to net a goal. I expected Super Eagles to keep clean sheet in this game.

I am not excusing the performance but only Senegal today have really dominated and won a team so far in the tournament. Tunisia are doing so now but there have been a couple of tough games between big teams and much smaller ones so far. Such is the nature of the AFCON and almost National football tournaments in the first round of fixtures.

That said, I do not see Nigeria winning this. I'll be excited if we can get into the Semi finals when the bigger teams start to face each other.
Our next match against Tunisia will be a good litmus test for more on how far we can go in this.

The Unnecessary calmness of the super eagles against Tanzania calls for questioning even after there weak win at last, when the game started they where so reluctant and never pushed to capitalize on there opponents weakness at the initial stage of the game. Although they tried by seriously fighting to bag the complete three points of the game but there effort on the game was never satisfactory they was why Tanzania managed to find the net of the super eagles of Nigeria on there first game of the african cup of nations.

This is the first game, if there is any game that you would see all teams to actually be prepared I think it will be this game. So I wasn’t expecting Nigeria to actually win with a huge margin, aside this i am always skeptical about the possibilities of Nigeria games because I notice one pattern with them which is to underrate opponents which are not having big footballing heritage, this has actually cost them lots of games and also the World Cup qualifications.

For Nigeria to go far in this tournament I think they need to start approaching games with urgency and the need to possess the opponent more and control the game. I would have said they should actually be careful the way they concede and avoid conceding much but it seems African football has evolve beyond those years of 1-0 wins

Nigeria is playing a very good game but poor in utilizing their chances, the chances they have in an the first half by now they should've had like five goals in Tanzania net but they were wasting them. Nigeria defense is very solid and of course we should expect that because Bassey is the one coordinating the defence and he's very good at it.

The second half is ongoing Tanzania equalized, but Ademola Lookman scored again within a minute putting Nigeria back in the lead by a goal.

What’s a great performances from Nigeria against Tanzania this issues of utilizing chances Nigeria always had problems with that in every of their matches, they will try as much as possible they can to create opportunities and they won’t make the uses of the opportunity to score goals that’s exactly what happened in that match against Tanzania.

But with that they turn up and got victory over Tanzania with 2-1, a big congratulations for Nigeria we hope they continue in that way because consistency is the matter.

Truth be told I don't see any improvement in the way that the super eagles played against Tanzania today. I was not impressed as there was no cohesion and coordination from the team. All the two goals that were scored was due to individual brilliance, there is much work for Eric Chelle to do because there were too many mistakes especially at the back line. The defense looked disjointed Tanzania would have drawn this game if they were more clinical in front of goal. Nigeria will be punished if we play this way against Tunisia in our next game because Tunisia is fast and is attack minded, which the super eagles will find it difficult to handle.

From what i watched a little Tanzania attacked and they didnt defend like most of the weaker teams in this competition. I think Tanzania played solid and could have even taken a point from Nigeria. Nigeria got a win and thats whats important for them to start the tournament right. I think Tanzania if they play like this can have a chance of reaching the next round.

You should have gotten use to the super eagles kind of game, when you least expected them to concede a goal, that’s when you’ll see them concede one. Even before the start of this game, it was clear that they’re the best team to win the game and I also expected a more goal difference than what I saw in this game. I hope they get to play better in their coming game and not waste the good form they’ve started with that has given them an edge in the title race from the first game.

The super Eagles of Nigeria are actually trying their best and they are playing good football, but whenever I look at the squad, I feel that the actually need to give more. Just like during the match with the Zimbabwe side, I was just looking at the number of Premier League players in the Nigerian super Eagles squad. In Fulham I already found three active players in the persons of Chukwueze, Bassey and Iwobi. I found Ndidi, Lookman, Osimhen, infact almost all the guys play in the top tier football. So, what then is the excuse.

Super Eagles actually need to do more if they aim to win this season's AFCON. They should learn to score goals, I mean alot of goals in order to survive. Another problem I could see is the Super Eagles goalie. I don't trust him a beat.

This was what expected from Nigeria but they struggled to win the game. Nigeria is still far from improving. The game they played today was boring. In the viewing centers, some of them had only 5 persons in the hall. And I was like the whole Super Eagles playing football this is the number that is inside. Super Eagles has lost their prestige. Their next game is with Tunisia and see what Tunisia is doing. It is not recommended for now and I was not impressed on their game today as I have said.  From the game so far, Uganda is is not a weak team and they are also in gold possession of ball. But the defense of Tunisia is good and they have tactical players more than Uganda.

The way the Match is played it is impressive. Although Uganda loss in the game but their performance is good. They will do better in their next match.

Looking at this stat, all I see is Iwobi. He was very brilliant today. 2 assist from him, that led to the win. This is one of the best performances I have seen from Iwobi so far.

Obviosuly this game does not assure us that we will win the AFCON. Yet it has boosted the confidence of our players. Morroco won Commros who are not up to standard yet they found it hard before scoring. This is the AFCON. Don't underestimate any team.

I'm impress with what I saw the Eagles displayed tonight in their first leg of the AFCON. Iwobi was brilliant in that encounter and let's not forget the amount of shots on target they hit on their opponent with allowing them to rest or recover from one counter to the other, if they have been showing this drive to get to the top of the table and the other teams will have to be in their toes when playing Nigeria. Good thing the Eagles have rediscovered their wings to fly.

Egypt Managed to beat Zimbabwe

Egypt managed to beat Zimbabwe in their opening match in AFCON. One important thing to note is that Mo Salah actually did score.
Another thing to look out for is how often Liverpool will win without Salah.
Another thing is how many goals Salah will be a le to score without Liverpool.
Maybe, this AFCON is going to provide the solution to Liverpool's poor performance.

I love this analysis but I'm not sure this proves anything, I don't think anyone is saying Mo Salah is the cause of Liverpool's poor performances  but what im sure of is that this competition might give Salah room to sort himself out and get back to form.


My Super Eagles won their game today, not so great an outing but I'm glad we won but we didn't play as convincing as I have expected. Nigeria should have scored more goals in that game and that beautiful goal by Osimhen that was disallowed Boy the guts to do that. Victor O is really a big star. 3 points locked 1 game down 6 more to go (this is the patriotic me speaking).

It's a normal thing because you can not praise someone that is not well. Adamola lookman supposed to give us goals every matches because that's exactly what does all the time in his domestic club, so there's nothing to worry about because he's not giving us what we want. Honestly, Super Eagles are not suppose to struggle with the way they are struggling right now because we have an incredible players that are doing pretty well in their domestic leagues.

You don't play against an underdog team thinking that they should not score no matter how good a team that you are. That's the reason why you should try rn score as manner goal as possible so you neutralise the effect of whatever chances they might put up. Do you no that towards the end of the game, if not for what I will describe as luck, they almost scored a late equaliser which would have made things really bad for us.

We need to talk about we taking our chances because that's where our issue always lies. If we don't know how to take our chances, it's going to affect us when we play against a stronger opposition that knows how to score better than us. Three point is the best way to start, I wouldn't criticise them on this, let's keep a positive energy.

We can only hope they continue in this form throughout the competition. They performed very well tonight, although we cannot rule out the fact that they played against a  weak opponent, so they weren't very much tested IMO and I was expecting more goals from that match. I'm a bit disappointed with the score line.

They really need to improve their precision in scoring goals. Nigeria has all it takes to load every opponent with lots of goals, we've obviously quality and experienced players..

I don't think anyone is saying Mo Salah is the cause of Liverpool's poor performances  but what im sure of is that this competition might give Salah room to sort himself out and get back to form.

In my own opinion, as long as mo salah is not disrespected at Liverpool, their is no problem, he just have to get use to staying longer on the bench nowadays because he is not the mo salah of 5 to 7 years back. This is why I haven't been critical of arne slot because he is only doing what's best for the team, since the team comes first.
