Following Super eagles performance tonight I wonder what will be the outcome of their next game which is against Tunisia. Lookman can to the rescue this time even though we all were expecting lots of goals from the Super eagles team.

Super Eagle performance isn't that poor, they played a good game but scoring was their problem, they had several opportunity to score like five to six goals but wasted them. What pains me about Super Eagles today is the goal they allowed Tanzania to score because with Tanzania performance in my opinion they didn't deserve to net a goal. I expected Super Eagles to keep clean sheet in this game.

I haven’t really been around to watch the games so far but I am glad that the Super Eagles came out with the three points after that game. The last AFCON was devastating for me since I supported the Super Eagles with all of me only to get beaten at the finals. I hope the team improve on the goal scoring as we still have more matches to prove our title worthiness charge.

This match does not give any confidence that the Super Eagles can win the tournament. Tanzania is not a top team so it truly bothers me that the Super Eagles couldn’t beat them easily. There is no reason why this match should be so close.

I fw=eel so Happy the eagles is starting with this kind of record at the AFCON this year, before now, looking at their performance thorough the qualifications, we taught for them to possibly struggle through the competition but then this i a very good start for the EAGLES, i believe with this i will be more confident in their games they have ahead. it wasn't an easy win for the eagle but they got a win at the end and that is what i consider the main point here, they have already started gathering points for the group stage and we just hope they continue with gathering points and do even better in other games ahead. I wish the EAGLES all the best and yes i am a NIGERIAN and so they have all my support.

I'm impress with what I saw the Eagles displayed tonight in their first leg of the AFCON. Iwobi was brilliant in that encounter and let's not forget the amount of shots on target they hit on their opponent with allowing them to rest or recover from one counter to the other, if they have been showing this drive to get to the top of the table and the other teams will have to be in their toes when playing Nigeria. Good thing the Eagles have rediscovered their wings to fly.

We can only hope they continue in this form throughout the competition. They performed very well tonight, although we cannot rule out the fact that they played against a  weak opponent, so they weren't very much tested IMO and I was expecting more goals from that match. I'm a bit disappointed with the score line.

They really need to improve their precision in scoring goals. Nigeria has all it takes to load every opponent with lots of goals, we've obviously quality and experienced players..

The Nigerian super Eagles aren’t playing a good football, I watched that game, it could’ve been a draw, the attacking players seems to be missing a lot of chances and that isn’t good for a team that wants to progress far in the competition, there is still so many teams to be played and I find there style very very annoying.

If the super eagles could be this poor against a small team like Tanzania, what is going to happen when they meet a team like Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, the big boys aren’t going to give the Super eagles and easy game.

The Super Eagles have to up their games, they are absolutely playing very bad, their performance is very bad and awful, it seems like there is no game plans.

Truth be told I don't see any improvement in the way that the super eagles played against Tanzania today. I was not impressed as there was no cohesion and coordination from the team. All the two goals that were scored was due to individual brilliance, there is much work for Eric Chelle to do because there were too many mistakes especially at the back line. The defense looked disjointed Tanzania would have drawn this game if they were more clinical in front of goal.

This is their first match on this African cup of nations competition which it will take them some matches before they will begin to be use to each other to show their improvement, most important thing in that yesterday match is that they won the match to be among the team that achieved three points from their first match, if you watch super eagle defense very well you will know that their defense was very strong this time because despite the opportunity tanzanian players have they couldn't use it well to equalize the goal, I believe super eagle have learned their lesson in this match because their forward players were not active if not that  Ajayi applied strategy to score goal before the end of 45 minutes.

This is the AFCON so I don't expect a lot of goals in most games as we are aware that most African teams don't score much goals. The way the super eagles play is not convincing enough but at least they were able to win. This kind of performance cannot sustain them to win against bigger teams as the competition progresses but securing the 3 points in the first game is a relief at least. The next game is against Tunisia, it will be a tough game as Tunisia is also a good team. It will be nice if Super Eagle can win to boost their qualification to the knock out but I don't think it will be that easy for them. A draw is what I predict against Tunisia.

Not utilizing your chances means they still have a long way to go. Teams are regarded as top teams because of how much they utilize their chances so Nigeria still need to improve in that to be able to challenge properly so they don't find it difficult to win against stronger teams.

Be glad that you were not opportune to watch the match yesterday. Just like last AFCON, the Nigeria super eagle approach to this tournament is not yet impressive. They started like this last time as well until knock out stage before they begin to be serious. This lazy approach at the beginning of tournament is what cost us the chance to participate in the next year world cup. Nigeria won by 2-1 yesterday but we almost draw that game for God sake. We had chance to score nothing less than five goals but all chances wasted. To be honest, it'll be a national disgrace to qualify for world cup and play that way. Life doesn't always give you second chance, Hence you utilise any opportunity that comes your way.

Wow all the selection came through for him, though I consider the over one he gave Arsenal as a very lucky chance because even as it seem highly easy for the match to have over one but we saw how Arsenal was having a goal problem, it was just two minutes to go for the game to be cut before another goal came and become two. Despite the fact that there weren't many goals, almost all teams scored, except for Benin, Botswana, and Comoros. Egypt had more than 30 shots on goal, and Zimbabwe was just lucky to concede only two goals. However, for some reason, there were not many spectators in the stands, and at the Egypt-Zimbabwe match, fans had to be admitted for free so that the stands would not be empty.

My only problem is that they missed plenty opportunities cheaply. Who noticed the goal Chukwueze missed before the first half ended, imagine if that was our only hope and winning goal, they were just lucky that Tanzania is not good enough else they would've equalised and probably win, well the Super Eagles tried but they can do better.

 Well, it wasn't that very bad cause they created many chances but they can do better cause it won't make sense to be missing chances when they meet stronger teams, Victor Osimhen really tried but yesterday wasn't his lucky day.

I expect Senegal win the game Botswana because Senegal has a lot of talent and good players who are very popular in Europe, they have Nicolas Jackson and Mane who are very good in attacking and scoring goals, I did expect Tunisia to beat Uganda with 3-1, anything can happen in football but I was surprised by Tunisia performance, they play well and also dominate the game with 3 goals which make Uganda feel that they can not win the game and give up before the match end.

Nigeria need to do better, they win the game but I did not expect the result to be like that because I expect Nigeria to score more than 2 goals in the match, I expect a clean sheet in the match and Nigeria allow Tanzania to score goal, Nigeria performance show that if Nigeria meet a strong country like Morocco or any strong opponent we will find it difficult to win the match.

I don't know how Nigeria is doing now because I haven't watched a match from the African continent for a long time, and now I'm curious to bet on this match with an over 1.5, meaning that there must be 2 goals at least in this match.

If you truly haven't heard of amed musa called the okada man as you claimed, means that you are actually not a fan of naija fm or any other footballing radio stations in the country, because he was tag that name for his blistering pace and as fast like an okada, that was how the name originated from his early days at kano pillars.

He is one of those players that I respected a whole lot because he never let all his domestic troubles get to him or uses it as an excuse not to show up when needed in our super eagles team, and even when he is not playing, you wouldn't see him in the news or on social media making noise or agitating why he is not featuring, that's what I called true professionalism, so he deserves the best treatment all our ex international players are entitled to, good luck to him on the next chapter of his life.

That's true. Zimbabwe did a fine job of stopping Egypt from getting more goals. Infact, what triggered those number of shots from the Egyptians is the fact that they didn't expect to go behind a team they very much feel they are better than so after recovering from the shock, they kept peppering their opponents with wicked shots that should have found the net if not for the tight defensive strategy Zimbabwe employed. For me, I'd say it's the consistency of the shots that saw Egypt winning the game because there's just so much speed and tactics a team like Zimbabwe can handle.

Can we appreciate and give credit to where it's due? We don't have any other super eagles than the one NFA selected to represent us in the Afcon. If they loss that game, I'm sure many people are going to say they are this and that but they won, there mistakes but all can be ignored since they won the game and everything settled, even Tunisia that is among the group stage with us made some mistake but they won too and that leave us with more fight.

I'm paying attention to Morocco too, Hakimi won the last CAF and everyone was complaining that the award wasn't a deserved one but common look at them even without Hakimi. If he comes back from the injury before the main groups, this league is going to be super exciting than the way it's now. Meanwhile, Osimhen was no where to be found but if it's Galatassaray, he will do baclift line 1000 times to score bicycle kick for them.

Congo are very hungry, not just rabid. Their next game is against Senegal who they seem to have a bone of contention with so I bet you the showdown isn't going to be easy as this two sides would be looking to outshine the other and if you observe, virtually all the players in Senegal are playing in big European teams except for the likes of Mane and Koulibaly who are in the Saudi Arabian leagues so they might want to use their world of experience against Dr Congo being that they seem to grace this tournament more than their opponents, but in all honesty, Congo can also hold their own when they meet stubborn opponents. Take Nigeria and Cameroon for instance.
As for Osimhen, maybe we'd see a goal from him against Tunisia and he'd be more clinical with his chances since he wasn't able to get something yesterday. Ivory Coast will make light work of their opponents, Mozambique, as they are clear favorites to win. Although we won't be leaving anything to chance, but I have the belief that your picks would end in green.

Congratulations to super Eagle of Nigerian. I predicted that the game will end up for the favour of super Eagle and indeed the game ended up 2: 1. Am not happy about what super Eagle players display for their first game, because Tanzania players show more working in this game than super Eagle despite super Eagle won the game, because Tanzania strikers and midfielders are good just that super Eagle players didn't allow them to use their tactics they want to use to equalize the goals to work, because super Eagle defenders were very smart to block all their tactics they wanted to use to share point with super Eagle.

I know many people lost their prediction towards this game yesterday, because they thought super Eagle will not beat Tanzania base on the friendly game super Eagle lost against Egypt.
