In the first 25 minutes, the Super Eagles are not playing badly. They are dominating the in game, winning second balls and have been able to recover early to thwart attacks from the Tunisian side. Victor Osimhen's goal was ruled out for offside. And there is a debate going on on social media that the Galatasaray striker might have the record of the most disallowed goals in the African Cup of Nations  . Just wish that Nigeria would continue in this manner and win this game.

Tunisia had more chances created during the first 45 minutes but how did they use them? They weren't utilised in the best way, not that Nigeria didn't get these chances but Tunisia created more during first half. You get such remarks and comments about your best players but you should know they're pure noise and shouldn't be given attention. I must say the African Cup of Nations has a lot to do with attacking football, I love what I saw tonight. It's actually the first game I've seen completely. Nwanbali!! Whys nobody talking about his blunders here?!

The Super Eagles narrowly won this game! I was just praying the came ends, like seriously they couldn't manage to keep a clean sheet, that was very embarrassing. Clearly the game was more of a two sided dominance. The Super Eagles clearly dominated the first half and Tunisia very much dominated the second half. Eric really needs to work on the defense otherwise, if we meet a stronger team, honestly we will pay the price for it. Congrats to them anyways, at least the round of 16 is assured.

Wonderful performance from both sides. Tunisia was reluctant after 3 goals down. They managed to score 2 goals, but time was not on their side. And the Super Eagles were defending intentionally to secure the 3 points.

Total of 6 points now for the Super Eagle in the AFCON competition. At the top of their table, brilliant performance from everyone.

The Super Eagles performances this season is highly motivated and worth supportive with full energy and confidences, however its high time some people stop doubting or looking down on Supper Eagles as a failure, because this is what some people's thought on Super Eagles, that's why at times you don't look down on any players or team.The match between Tunisia and Super Eagles was so accurate and I was impressed with their performances presently, whenever a team is in thier best form, I don't doubt thier victory at times, but Tunisia was actually pressured Super Eagles in order to equalise the match but Super Eagles had a never give them a chance. Moreover, a huge win for Super Eagles.

Tunisia only started getting into the game when they got their first goal in the second half, if not the Nigerian side really outplayed them with their high pressing football. But everything changed the moment Tunisia got their first goal, they increased in their momentum and they got a penalty kick as a result of the handball by the Nigerian defender which they converted the penalty kick to make it 3:2. The goal really gave them confidence to keep pushing, hoping they could get back to the game and  equalize 3:3, meanwhile the Nigerian side were now playing under pressure and looks a bit tired. But at the end the Nigerian super Eagles we’re able to hold on to the pressure and got all three points.

The Super Eagles almost spoiled the night after Tunisia scored the second goal because the pressure was becoming too much for Nigeria.

After super eagles scored their 3rd goals, I was saying there is nothing left for Tunisia in the match, but to my greatest suprise Tunisia scored two goals in the second half of the match, I never expected super eagles to concede two goals in the match. Must super eagles give us high blood pressure before they will win a match, cant the super eagle keep clean shit in a match? Must they concede in their matches? the two goals which Tunisia scored today could have been avoided.

Super eagles were just lucky in the match that Tunisia couldn’t score 3rd goal in the match. Super eagles performance wasn’t bad in todays match, but they still having lots to work on, super eagles will have to work on their defense, they have to stop conceding goals easily.

With how slow Senegal are playing I think they can go far because last AFCON they were too good and fast but could not get to the final even when many saw them as the favorite they went off the tournament and Nigeria faced the host Ivory Coast, I would have loved to see Senegal in that final. This encounter they had so many opportunities to change the scoreline in the first half which doesn't send a good message to the fans, they only have this second half to get the ball into the back of the net.

Senegal currently is losing by 0:1 against DRC if this game ends this way it will be a surprising result of this Afcon because even though DRC is a good team they were not the favorite going into this game. DRC has been able to hold their own against a Senegalese team that is charactarized by stars players. DRC has really improved their football because it's obvious with the kind of achievement that are doing. They are at the brink of qualifying for the world cup as they will be playing in the playoffs.


Senegal should try and get a good result from this game because losing to DRC will not be a good result for a team like Senegal because they are one of the favorite going into this Afcon.

Honestly the whole thing is just funny, was posting and almost done to post this very post before the goal came in. Well this encounter is very dull for Senegal, they didn't show that dominance of last nations cup and if they had come with that pressure they won't have played out a draw against DRC. At first they felt too comfortable to be rolling the game as the favorite and that is where their problem began, if you are strong beat the smaller side very well without underrating your opponent, it always back fires and I have to applaud the DRC for staying strong in that game after Senegal equalized.

On this particular case, I'm hundred percent in support of the Nigerian sport authority (NSO), is not entirely the duty of the federation to sponsor fans for events, if you go to Europe many of the European countries fans find their way to the locations of any football events, they spend their own personal money in buying tickets, paying for flight and booking hotels for any of the football match they want to watch and not the federation catering for everybody. So if the federation have come out to say they don't have money for such kind of expenditure, then we shouldn't castigate them, at least they've come clean on this one.

The thing is, they don't have to support every single citizen to the afcon, just a handful of people. Do you think we don't have the resources to send a handful of fans to cheer and support the team? A lot of people said something similar during the Olympics and it was wrong. We have funds to buy bullet proof cars for government officials every other day to add to their long lists of convoys but it's never enough when it comes to anything that has to do with public good.

Glad we won. For a moment there, I thought we would end the game with a draw. Happy for 3 points.

Good win for the boys, I knew Nigeria was going win this game but never expected them to score 3 goals. I was expecting a 1-0 or 2-1 win, but the boys proved me wrong. This is kind of win we the super eagles to have. If we can continue with this kind of consistency am sure this Afcon will come back home. Kudos to Oshimen, ndidi and lookman.  Our defense held tight till the 70th minute where Tunisia scored. So like this we've already qualified to KO round, we just need to win Uganda so that we might get lucky to meet small opponents at the round of 16

I don't think you watched the game tonight cause it you did you wouldn't talk about Tunisia dominating the game in the second half when out knew that the Super Eagles scored two beautiful goals in the second half. The first half was clearly dominated by the Super Eagles but Victor Oshimen missed a lot of chances which could have helped Nigeria scored up to 3 goals but coming to the second half he corrected those mistakes by scoring one goal and assisting Ademola Lookman in the second goal but the game changed when the coach made wrong changes it lead to the team conceding goals and the center referee who was a bit biased in his officiating. When Tunisia scored the second goal they tried to pressure to get the 3rd but the defense of the Super Eagles was solid there was never a time they allowed the Tunisia to dominate the game.

His blunders were ones that could be accommodated today. A few where he rushed to the ball only not to claim it and then the Tunisia strikers just wouldn’t get a good touch on a second go and the fact that, those off target shots and headers that came quite close to being on target yet, he would seem to have a heavy foot and just wouldn’t attempt, those really scared me.

Tunisia however became really dangerous towards the final minutes of the game and should they have being given more time, they could have gotten a draw off this game.

That game took us through different emotions, first it was comfortable and we were cruising, minutes later it became very nervy and i was on the edge of my seat up until the final whistle, lol. Happy to get the three points in the end and qualify for the knockout round. I love the spirit in the Super Eagles, the way they fight for every ball, the desire is clearly there and i hope it takes us all the way to the African title.

The final group game is more or less a formality and the manager can use it to experiment. Prolly give certain key players a rest and give minutes to players that haven't had their opportunity so far.

I literally watched Tunisia drag the scores to 3:2 from 3:0, i got scared that they might equalize the score, it would be possible if they had more time. I'm very excited we won the match, but not in this manner after scoring three goals, plus we were unable to defend it. This has been our problem, the more we score, the more goals we concede, and win under one goal margin.

I too was quite scared they might have equalized and perhaps, scored more goals to win the game but thankfully, Nigeria held the line and won the game. I agree with you. We shouldn't have to win in this manner. Having scored 3 goals, perhaps we got too comfortable and Tunisia capitalized on that, beefing the pressure and scoring 2 goals in an attempt to equalize. They really might have scored another goal if given the time. The second half was quite intense as we saw goals from both sides. Thankfully, we got the win at the end.
Nigeria plays Uganda on the 30th. I'm hopeful of a win and believe the boys would be able to deliver a win.

The fact that we almost let a three goal lead dissapear calls for concern because it shows that we are not as defensively strong as we will like to think ourselves to be in this competition, and we have to improve in that capacity. Our defense needs to be better in this competition because there will be games against better attacks and games also where we will just have a goal lead to defend like Egypt defended their one goal against South Africa.

It was almost a banana pill from Nigeria. Nigeria were cruising in the match scoring three goals and they were looking like they were home and dry but the had to take the hard route by letting Tunisia to score two goals.
I don’t know if that penalty is right but the ref was good and the penalty is the only thing that will be questioned
Nigeria has now qualified and I think the coach will list players that hasn’t yet played any match.

Nigeria likes putting themselves in a difficult situation all the time, but I am happy they didn't allow Tunisia to score a third goal, which could have denied us victory this night. The referee was good with his work initially, but after he awarded Tunisia a penalty for an offense that isn't even a penalty makes, it made me feel that the referee wants Nigeria to lose to Tunisia. I believe Nigeria coach wll still play with his best men because there are some Nigeria players that want to win personal awards in the African Cup of Nations, and keeping them on the bench just because Nigeria has qualified for the knockout phase will limit their chances of winning a personal awards.

Not very surprising but, when we take the lead, we tend to loose focus and starts conceiving easy goals from silly mistakes. Tunisia’s second goal might have come from a spot kick but, they hand far too many chances to score and didn’t make good use of it. They worked the flanks real good, sending several crosses into the box but, their executions just wasn’t coming off good.
We made it into the knockout stages once again, that’s satisfactory for now but, we ought to be playing better.

A huge congratulations to the eagles, they have done a great deal so far, two games won already, I wa t to use this opportunity to applaud them, they have been really excellent with the victories so far, even as we would want to say the victories are mostly narrow escape, they still won in all and for me that is what I really care about, they can play poorly for all I care but they should keep winning with the poor performance, in the end they award winners and not those who played the best. I am not saying  they shouldn't play well and have excellent performance alongside the victories but if they can get that, they should gwt the results and bring home the trophy.

And they finally won 3-2, by just one goal.

Osimhen started their match in the 44th minute, after a long wait with both teams level. In the second half, there were four goals in total: Ndidi with one in the 55th minute and Lookman with the winner in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, after leading 3-0, Tunisia finally scored in the 74th minute. Furthermore, Nigeria made a fatal error, giving Tunisia a penalty and a penalty goal in the 87th minute.

Fortunately, things didn't get any worse, and Nigeria won by a very tight score. In this match, Ademola Lookman became Man of the Match, because he managed to score 1 goal and provide 2 assists, it's really cool.

How far do you think these poor performances can carry the team? Do you think against teams with better performance in this competition that our poor performance will be enough? They won the game and have qualified for the next round, but while we congratulate them for the control they showed in 70 minutes, they should also be criticized for allowing two goals and almost drawing the game in the last 20 minutes of the game, a game we had the upper hand in. Nwabali has to be cautioned; he does not look confident whenever the ball comes close to him, and under pressure, I fear he can be a problem for us in an important game. Maybe the coach should try out our second-choice goalkeeper in the third game we have in Group B to see how he performs.

I think we need to give the super Eagles all the accolades they need, what a game, they deserve the win and also they deserve the 3 points. I know it was not an easy one but at the end they finally got the win. But my concern was the fact that they where leading with 3 goals and how on earth do Tunisia come back to score 2 goals. I didn't get to finish the match because I thought Nigeria leading with 3 goals is already a win so I left, and I was surprised when coming back to see the score line. Well at the end Nigeria still got the win.
