Nwambal’s overconfidence is becoming much, he has made attempts to let our team down several times in the World Cup qualifiers, I think he is doing all these because he was given all the flowers after last AFCON, he dint know that they can easily replace him with Maduka Okoye because he is also very good and can start for the Super Eagles of Nigeria; but let’s leave everything since we won the match by 3-2, we need to focus on the next coming matches because every game is important in this tournament, and we the Super Eagles are even lucky to have gotten our first six points which granted us automatic qualification to the round of 16, if we a can keep playing like this, the competition will be easily won by the Super Eagles.

If we keep allowing everything Nnwabali does to slide because we won a game then it will continue to be the way it has been, I think Nnwabali is doing what he is doing because the competition is not there, I mean nobody is there to take his place simply because the manager is not ready to give the other goalkeeper a chance like the Maduka Okoye you made mention of, he has been doing well for the Italian side Udinese.
I like how we approach our 2 games and if we had put on this great performance I don't see why we won't beat the likes of South Africa and Benin who gave us a hard time in the world cup qualifiers and if you check all these countries are not doing well in their respective groups, they're all struggling to meet up. And I don't think we were lucky to have that 6pt in the bag, we deserve it and you'd agree with me that there's a big change in our performance in this AFCON even better than last tournament.

Very interesting game of football between Cameroon vs Ivory Coast. It really seemed like the finals as the both sides kept asking a lot from each other, the Ivorian players making more attempts at scoring and I bet you, if the Cameroonian defense hadn't been alert, there wouldn't have been a reason for fans to crack their heads as to who the better side was because it would be the side that won and not the side that gave their all go defend. Good game and now the both sides can go home with a point each and hope that their various last games would turn out in their favor.

Many players like Kylian Mbappé, Jules Koundé, and Aurélien Tchouaméni watched the game in Morocco. I think it's nice to see big players like this giving attention to a game from Cameroon and Ivory Coast that many people do not watch and only focus on european teams.

I absolutely don’t think there is any reason to be excited because this so called players came to watch the game against Ivory Coast vs Cameroon, because this players had the opportunity of representing their respective countries in Africa but they choosed against playing for Africa which I don’t think there is nothing to be excited about them being spectators.

Well I can say that it will be an added advantage to the competition in terms of viewership and the publicity of the tournament, but honestly speaking it really doesn’t change anything for me personally if this players really like Africa they should be representing their countries of origin, you also forget to mention Zinadine Zidane as well who came to support his son who is a goalkeeper for Algeria.

Today's Group A matches feature Comoros will face Mali and Zambia will face  Morocco. My predictions are Mali to win Comoros and Morocco to win Zambia. Mali and Morocco have the strongest teams in this group, Although Mali hasn't won any matches yet, but i'm hopeful they'll secure a victory against Comoros today.

Group B features we have Angola Vs Egypt and Zimbabwe against South Africa, I don't think there's any tough game here because i have believe that Egypt will take three points against Angola and South Africa to beat Zimbabwe too.

Nwabali is a good goalkeeper, just that over confidence is what’s killing him, he do make stupid mistake in matches which is making the super eagles concede in matches, seriously Nwabali should caution himself because if he doesn’t, then his bad behavior is going to make the super eagles lose some matches which they are suppose to win.

You're absolutely right, we all knew Stanley Nwabali as a good goalkeeper, but the issue of his overconfidence I don't think he's the only one in the Super Eagles doing that, almost all the players have that mentality. I remember the previous AFCON final between Super Eagles and Ivory Coast, what killed Super Eagles in that game was their overconfidence, if not I considered them the favourites to win the match.

It was a really good game; it felt like a European fixture—the teams and how they tactically set up, the modern standard stadium filled with supporters, etc.

It makes me believe more that maybe some African teams that made it to the World Cup will actually do well. Eyes will be on the host again tomorrow as they will be aiming to win their game against Zambia to secure their place in the next round.

South Africa has a must-win match on their hands after losing their late game to Egypt.

Maybe to an extent but not completely. It was one of the finest games I have seen now in this competition. Having the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Kounde and Tchouameni all in the stands to see the game.

The nations who qualified from Africa are also quality sides and they have what it takes to hurt other nations. Algeria is a fine example trust me, I'm in love with the kind of football they play. A win for the host is possible, a draw for South Africa, I have friends i want to banter badly

As you predicted the possible outcome of this last group A matches, that is also how I expected it to happen, but this is football, nothing is 100% certain, but regardless of whatsoever, they are both going to be a fascinating contest.

Group B features we have Angola Vs Egypt and Zimbabwe against South Africa, I don't think there's any tough game here because i have believe that Egypt will take three points against Angola and South Africa to beat Zimbabwe too.

In this group their will be more drama than the group A because the Egyptian team has already qualified, so I expected them to rest some players, so it's because of that I don't have much confidence on them winning this game, it might ends in a draw or the Angolans win by a slight margin if the Egyptian are complacent in this game.

The south Africans is the team I am not that convinced with because in the attacking third, they are not as clinical as expected, so I doubt if they can win this Zimbabwean team in this upcoming decisive game.

Is it their fault that they had the opportunity to play in countries were they nationalised? I think you'll seize the opportunity to play for England over Nigeria if you were given an opportunity so stop being sentimental. You should appreciate a good effort when you see one and stop trying to create an agenda, tracing back their roots to show support in the AFCON makes lots of sense and you should appreciate it.

 Anyways I really enjoyed yesterday's game, the both teams played with passion, they made the game very enjoyable to watch and I know that those players would be happy to fly over to Morocco to come watch beautiful football. Also, Manchester United should be glad they got a player like Amad the Ivorian Messi, he was outstanding.

A draw for South Africa may still see them qualify for the next stage of this competition, except if Angola is able to win against Egypt, scoring a number of goals to have the goal advantage. Egypt has already qualified, so they may not show a lot of seriousness in the game; their coach may even decide to rest their key players like Salah and Marmoush so they don't also get injured.

Angola could snatch the victory with some seriousness and an attacking mindset from the kick-off.

If South Africa wants to ensure making it through, a win is the only thing they need.

I will not stress myself who will win and who will lose in this group A games today. Comoros will lose against Mali in this game, because Mali have potential players than Comoros in this AFCON, and it will make  Mali not to experience lost in this game. Morocco who is the host of this AFCON cup will not do any mistake that will make Zambia to beat them, because it will cause a lot of pressure to their supporters that wish the club to lift this trophy to boost their confidence of hosting next world cup.

Morocco and Mali will surely use this games to create chances that will make them to escape what will make them to struggle to qualify for the next round, because they have good defenders that will make the goalpost secure for their goalkeepers not to fear until they secure victory from their opponents.

The cameroonian plyers were happy because they drew the defending championships. This was a game I expected the Cote d'Ivoire team win because they are not just the defending championships, but they are also one of the favourite to win this tournament considering the fact that this particular team has been together for a very long time even though they are still young, unlike the cameroonian team that is going through a rebuilding phase, and that was why they mostly struggled in their world cup qualifying games which they later didn't qualify. So in my own perspective, they tried, their performance was really good, which was the reason they got a draw in the game, but the Ivory Coast team was a bit disappointed because expectations was more on them than the cameroonian team, so i know that feeling of disappointment from the Ivory Coast team.

I placed my multi-bet counting on Draw or Egypt, I also included Draw or South Africa and Draw or Mali. The odds weren't huge, but they were acceptable. I intend to watch all three games. I think the most interesting game will be Egypt vs. Angola. Angola will be determined to win that game. I saw in the press conference that the captain of the Angolan national team said they will have to work very hard to win because they have no other choice if they want to dream of advancing to the next stage.

Amad is a very good player that knows what to do and when to do it but his inconsistent performance at Manchester united at times is as a result of positioning, after knowing he is good at flank but plays a role of a wing pback just to fit in to his managers game pattern that gives him limited access to attack as at when needed

Very interesting match indeed. I enjoyed every bit of it. I look forward to seeing how Cameron and the Ivory Coast will perform in their final match (3rd) of Group F qualification against Mozambique and Gabon.

Ivory Coast will take on Gabon on 31st December, while Cameroon will take on Mozambique on that same day. I can bet that the Ivory Coast is on its way to qualifying for the Group F tables when they play against Gabon to win. For the Cameroon and Mozambique match, it will be a tough match for the team that wins against each other, will take the second spot in the Group F table, following the Ivory Coast

You are right, Morocco will play to their best to night because they drew their last match against Mali, so I don't think they would want to lose or draw this match to Zambia again, because it would be like a disappointment to their fans.

Morocco is the one hosting this AFCON, and even without that Zambia isn't a match for them. And we have seen many times how well Morocco have performed or have you forgotten their performance in the last World Cup? Where they got eliminated in the semi finals. So I have a strong believe that they will be a strong contender for this AFCON title.

Ivory Coast are the defending champions so I expected them to actually win the game although Cameron performance was indeed impressive because for some time now they have not played like the indomitable lion as there name preceeds them because after Egypt, Cameron are the second national team to have won the AFCON more but over the years the country football haven't been that great but hopefully with this performance they can atleast compete for the trophy.

Today there are four matches in the Africa Cup. Egypt have already qualified for the next round, so they can afford to relax a bit in the game against Angola. The winner of the Zimbabwe vs South Africa match will finish second in the group. Zambia and Morocco are both still unbeaten, and the winner of that game will take first place in the group. Mali also have a chance to finish first if they beat the Comoros Islands.

Man those guys are stars you have to show them some respect because they left the comfort of their homes to come show support to their brothers and fellow team mates who are representing their countries in the competition so if it's not special to you just know that you don't understand the beauty of the game of football which is love. Not everyone will want to represent his country of origin because most of them didn't start their careers in Africa and you shouldn't blame them for that but if you see them showing support you have to appreciate them.

What a powerful performance, great determination, and true fighting spirit. They really made their fans proud.
The Tunisian national team is a very fragile team. All its players are afraid of physical contact and rough play. They can be easily defeated by any team it the their opponent put pressure on them in their back areas.

The super eagle players should learn to contest. Tunisia's second goal was a Christmas gift, I didn't expect the referee to award a penalty. Secondly, Nwabali's temperament is questionable, what was the need for that inappropriate behavior ? There was an infringement, and the referee already awarded a free kick against Nigeria, Nwabali should have just left the Tunisian player alone.
