Respect to both teams for a superb match. DRC always intelligent and true to its style. Although Senegal played some beautiful football too, but lacked a clinical finish. Too many missed opportunities that could have benefited them. DR Congo didn't have many chances but were decisive. Overall, two great teams.

There were 2 counter attacks that Congo wasted after the first goal. If they had made better decisions, it could've been 2-0.
They should never take these kinds of matches lightly.
They have a very strong team, a fluid style of play that's rare to see, consistently clean passes, and good ball possession, but they have a real problem with finishing in front of goal, which sometimes kills the team spirit, even if it's not always the case.

If we are to stay disciplined in the game, I see Nigeria beating Mozambique in this game especially at their back. Mozambique are organized and can punish mistakes if they have the opportunity to so, but man for man Nigeria are strongwr and more organized too. If we should meet Algeria and Dr. Congo in the quarterfinals, I agree with you those are not teams Nigeria should be scared of  although you cannot takeaway the fact Algeria has the solid quality too but not as for Nigeria.

Oh, you are still having faith in the super eagles to deliver the trophy for Nigeria when they could not even qualified for the world cup competition which could have shown that Nigeria football team really knew what they were doing.
I don't trust this current players because I know they could fuck up at anytime and out the blame on black magic used by other country.

I get where you're going, they messed up big time but haven't you noticed that this very Super Eagles are different from the ones that played in the World Cup qualification? Same players but different energy, they can do better but the only thing is not to rely on the 100% because anything that may annoy we the supporters can happen. We are in a very hard phase now where if any country is beaten that is the end so now they can do better to avoid defeat no matter who they face, that I believe. Black magic or not, they will do what they have to do to get to the finals and I can't wait for them to face Ivory Coast to repeat last AFCON finals.

We are doing well currently but to be honest, I still don't have high expectations on us lifting the Afcon after do many years.

While I must say we are actually performing better than the last Afcon where we made it to the final and this majorly because we are taking our chances well but our defense or goalie is poor, at least the goals scored by us has been able to cover that but still this something we need to look out on especially as we move up on the competition.

I agree on what you said on the first part, we have a squad that we can't rely on completely in a competitive event and this very tournament is the type we we are suppose to have much hope in them but they choose to let us down so I don't blame anybody who doesn't have that believe in the Super Eagles, even myself I find it hard to completely see them as a side to go far but these days is like take what you see from the Super Eagles, weather good or bad.
Where the Super Eagles have issues is the goalkeeper if you ask me, I can't pick Nnwabali to be my shot stopper, he lacks so much and he would have conceded much goals in the group stage if not that the defenders are too good in covering the loop holes, back then when Vincent Enyeama was the goalkeeper we have the hope of him covering for the defenders and for himself when things goes bad but these days if oppositions pass our defenders it is a goal.
Our coach need to talk seriously with the back lines to keep adding more effort to clear the ball when there's danger because this stage is a one time thing, you win you advance you lose you go home the next day.

Nigeria would hopefully, come out of that game with the win. Nigeria is heavily favored to win and rightfully so too as they've got a much stronger form than their opponents. I am in your side that the super eagles will win the Monday match, but not with another three goals like did in the last matches. Mozambique is a strong team with ambitious coach who knows well about the performance level of his players. I saw the last two matches of Mozambique and I can say that it's not less dangerous than Morocco or Egypt who won Nigeria recently.

Yes i agree with you, Nigeria are not to be trusted with the hope to be crowned champions of Afcon tournament this year, they may be in a very good form, winning all the group stage games and also haunting to win more in the round of 16 and above but this there inability to remain consistent is one reason i will never trust them on that. Though I can't deny that the growth of this Mozambique team is very clear for all to see, but the team that has really caught my attention by their rapid rise in African football is the Burkina faso team.
Right now, no team in African football can easily stream role them away like in the past, so I see them as one of the dark horse in this competition, unlike the Mozambique team that might be knocked out by the Nigerian team on Monday evening.

Additional, this year afcon, I think it will still be won by one of the old guards of the competition, countries like, Morocco, Nigeria, ivory coast, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt or Cameroon because if you look at these teams I made mentioned, they are all the best performing team in the competition, so it would take something extraordinary for a different team to broke into this teams and claim the trophy from them.

sincerely speaking the super Eagles are in good shape, they just need to consolidate on the gains they've made in the past few matches, one of the major loopholes they have is the ability of not having a clean sheet, those few lapses they allow their opponent's to score and come back into the game can hamper their success if they don't tackle it, but regardless of anything, I'm confident on the super Eagles to have a win in their next encounter against Mozambique.

Well, my prediction was based on their performance in the last match they played and the goals they scored, and from the look, they are in good form to win the match. Senegal vs Sudan

Seems not any update yet the first match of round, the first match round of 16 will play one hours later and likely Senegal is favorable team for securing one spot place at quarter final by eliminating Sudan, Senegal has unbeaten performance at group phase matches by winning 2 matches and get draw 1 match success leading top position at Group D. The opponent teams Sudan qualified to round of 16 by securing the best third standings position teams and success finish at 3rd place of Group E, Sudan only win one matches during group phase and I think need magician to defeat Senegal have many star players in the composition teams.

The round of 16 is starting this Saturday by Senegal against Sudan and Mali against Tunisia, I hope we are still going to feel that super eagles have actually realized themselves because is now they have gone to the dip of the tournament because for some country who took there group stage as a common stage because of how they easily find a way to win there encounters will definitely not going to take this round of 16 as a play round because is were unseriouse country is ushered out of the tournament, Tunisia will qualify from the discontinuing of Mali from my observation.

Just saw this on Facebook and it reminded me of what our government used to do or say to our players whenever they do pass a particular stage in any competition, go out there and win and every player will have a good sum of money. I believe with the current situation of the country the government or president don't have that time to even glance through the games in this afcon.
