To be fair Epicbet is the site that is most upfront about it. There is multiple mentions here in the thread that they are KYC only. Anytime anyone asked here he got the same answer, KYC is needed.

While I don't like KYC associated stuff I must admit it is a bit refreshing not hiding it. Most sites let's you play without anything and hits you with KYC whenever they like. Here you have to pass Level 1 before collecting bonus or placing a bet and Levels 2 & 3 before withdrawing.

Yes you are absolutely right, many times casino's ToS does not mention anything about KYC. But after getting big win asked to do KYC verification, it's really sad for users. Well, asking for KYC is fine, especially when the terms are clear and the casino tells its users about it. I think KYC became a mandatory thing for licensed casinos. Most of the licensed casinos ask for KYC today. However, some casinos advertise themself as a NO KYC casino even though their terms and condition page says the opposite. Seems that you wanted to write "not mandatory", as it will be contradicting if the supports said KYC is mandatory then they said that it is asked only if crossed certain limits.
In fact and it has been experienced by some users here, KYC in this casino is high likely mandatory as players are not even able to make deposit without completing the first level of KYC.
The information from the support seems to be inaccurate which is not that good, I guess the support is answering based on their general knowledge only or maybe the support is from 3rd party provider so they do not really know the actual practice in the casino.
