It depends. In some countries, you could blame the government for not creating enough job opportunities for the youth, or not even giving them proper education, so that they can become eligible for the jobs available in the market. A government should make sure that the youth are getting quality education, for free if possible, because maybe not all of them can afford it. The youth is the future of the generation, and if they are left to ruin their lives like that, the nation won't have a bright future, because those who spend money and become able to do something will go somewhere else if they don't get good opportunities, and others will do things they shouldn't be doing because they know they aren't qualified to get jobs.

That being said, sometimes, even if there are opportunities, some people just don't avail them, they don't focus on their studies, and then their career, probably because they are lazy, or lack motivation. This happens everywhere, even in countries that are developed and there are a lot of opportunities both for jobs and education.

Both need to adopt.  it is not only the problem of youth why they are unemployed it is because there is not enough job for everyone.  The government must do something about this problem by investing into projects that will open up job opportunities for the youth.

On the other side, youth should be flexible.  If here is no available job for his course, he should try to make himself familiar with other side hustles or other possible job entry while waiting for his opportunity to come.  

This should be a joint effort for both parties in order to minimize its effect on the economy.

Of course governments should do more... they always should do more because they have a central role in every society, but not everything is on them. To me, it feels like young people today are different compared to my generation. Many don't want to accept low-paid jobs and bad working conditions, so many of them go abroad. Numbers are rising every year...


There's a big need for skilled workers who are slowly disappearing... it seems like everyone wants to be an influencer, and there's nobody left to do regular jobs... or they are doing more harm than they really contribute. I already see that problem in my surroundings, and in the next 5-10 years will be even worse.


So we are far from any kind of "explosion", but changes do have to come... that's inevitable & normal. Like always, we will see whether it turns out better or worse for the whole world because on an individual level, some will definitely see better days, while many won't be that lucky.

There shouldn't be an adaptation to unemployment or a failed society. The thing is, as much as the youth have to pick up their own responsibilities, and fight their way out, we also have to admit the fact that the government is failing to do its job. Has there ever been a time when the unemployment rate of a particular year didn't Increase compared to the previous one?, I don't think so, which shows that there is an actual cause. I feel the government needs to do more, but on the other hand, the citizens also have to help themselves.

It's not about adaptation.
Continuous adaptation will only continue to increase the unemployment rate, because the government will assume that everything is fine. But in order to help ourselves, we have to fight our way out for the meantime.

there is also the failure of education. promising someone with a degree in 'holistic dance therapy' that they will easily get a managers job in a corporate office simply because they have a degree. yet are not told that class of 2025 has a 3,000 degree graduates of many courses. all fighting for managerial roles of only 150 on offer in that town that year

Are you waiting for government employment as a youth or you want government to be feeling your family ? You will be disappointed.  if government promise you employmenf you don't have money to train yourself to school, you can look for potential skills to learn to better your life and also add value to your country economy. It is few government that have the heart  of people for mind, those that don't have the heart of people for mind will be watching their people to be suffering of employment in the country.

Both Parties Must Act because addressing unemployment requires shared responsibility. On the one hand the government must take concrete strategic action to create sustainable jobs, not just temporary solutions or superficial programs, but also concrete efforts that stimulate industry and empower communities. However, the responsibility does not lie solely with the government.
The younger generation must also adapt to today harsh realities, this world is cruel, it is competitive, fast-paced and constantly evolving, so that educational qualifications alone are no longer enough. Companies are looking for skills, adaptability, discipline, and a strong work ethic. The days of relying solely on degrees are over.

Governments can never accommodate all their citizen in certain job and guarantee them a salary so they are not at the fault here and also the adults are just following what they have been taught but they are just left with some certificate and no real world knowledge which is why it is hard for them to find the job, if they want to increase their chance then they also need to develop the necessary real world skill along with their academics.

I think it will be impossible for the government of any country to create employment opportunities for every of their citizen, so asides the government creating employment opportunities, they also need to start creating the awareness that depending on the government for a job after obtaining a certificate may be disappointing. If in schools the government add vocational skills as a subject of study to equip people with vocational skills to help them stand and be self employed after school, that will assist in reducing the rate of unemployment especially amongst youths.

Plus, Z generation are the ones who will inherit the least amount in nearly a century. Can you imagine that? With all the inflation, they are still to inherit less than their olders, that alone tells you how screwed up they are. They are not making nearly enough compared to purchasing power, and when you do that, you need to consider maybe there is a possibility that the new generation will be all poorer.

Of course the rich will stay rich, even if the person X is not the one anymore, someone else will take his place and the rich will keep on being the top 1% while we are getting poorer. That is one of the biggest reasons why we are seeing the population numbers dropping significantly, not because we lack the resources, but because resources are stuck to one percent.

I think that in this situation, we cannot blame the government entirely for the mistakes, nor can we blame the youth, because in this case, both the government and the youth have similar roles and problems.
The government needs to make some improvements so that the situation does not become a problem in the future. That is true, but on the other hand, young people with academic degrees and certificates also need to change their mindset because relying solely on the government, although still possible, is not appropriate at this time.

Not all of the government's promises can be realized, especially for countries that are still developing or underdeveloped. On the other hand, the mindset of young people or the majority regarding education and employment must also be given a little more attention in this case. If both parties have the same goals, I think problems like this can be resolved, but of course it is not easy, and the fact is that until now, the situation is not as expected.

But, like always, there will be a large chunk of the younger generation who will struggle for the first few years as they try to enter a career and potentially try lots of different jobs, before hopefully finding one that will align with their interests.

This phenomenon is often faced by developing countries undergoing demographic transition, where the number of young people (15-30 years old) is large, but the majority are not absorbed into the formal or informal workforce. The inflated, unemployed youth population represents an economic potential that will become an economic burden if not managed properly by a country.

Unemployed youth constitute an economic and fiscal burden because it leads to low national productivity while consumption remains high, thus increasing the dependency ratio and putting pressure on government social budgets (education, assistance, and training). Therefore, proper management of the surge in the productive age group is crucial because, in essence, the youth population represents a demographic bonus, a reserve of productive labor that can strengthen the creative sector, digital technology, and the informal economy if facilitated with education and capital. Young people are highly adaptable to new technologies and digital economic models, accelerating the economic transformation toward a knowledge economy. Most importantly, the older population represents a country's consumer market; they create potential demand for future products and services, thus maintaining the momentum of domestic consumption growth. If domestic demand remains strong despite global economic turmoil, a country can still achieve economic growth.

For this to be effective, education should get better. There is definitely something wrong about the education system because some students end up graduating not really ready for the real life. Honestly, some people do not want to continue to pursue higher education which should be okay as long as they know what they want to do exactly. Either way, youth nowadays must take what they want and consider what they need in order to live and decide what to do with their lives.

The kindness they got in schools goes away after graduation, the world is too cold out there. Not all fresh graduates could withstand the hostility and harshness of the real world. Nothing hits emotional decline as bad as tough real life experiences. Which always scare away fresh talents from great and noble institutions.

Dreams and talents vanish on getting to see saturated markets filled with workers alike who have stayed in the business years before the graduate became a fresh man. Given time a graduate who withstands the pressure for a while would get used to it and begin to buckle up on important thoughts and theories... staying firm.

Certification had been proven to be worthless in recent times without experience. It discourages people to further their formal education and only settle to acquiring specialized skills in order to become employable.  Gone are the days people prioritize general knowledge, youths should seek to major in one or two skills so as to have a pathway to making money when they're through with school because waiting for the government to get employed is a big mistake. In my country minimum wage as salary isn't enough for a month expenses which makes even government employed staffs to seek other forms of hustle just to survive.

The issue of unemployment is one that, many governments all over the world has tried to solve but has failed to solve. But the fact of the matter is that every body can't be employed by the government this is one thing that people should should understand. Because every year there are millions of graduates which are coming out of school with certificate ready to work but there are no places for them to work.



This is a wake up call to the youths especially the students to look beyond getting a white collar jobs after school, they should look at self sustainable skills that will equip them to become self sufficient. Government needs to do more to the youths. However, youth should not always be relied upon Government. They must always open to the any opportunity in front of their eyes. They have to develop their skill, get more knowledge, try everything they can. Even if Government will always subsidize them, but they're still lazy as hell. They will never improve.

I see so many cases in my country many young generations can't even doing  simple mathematics. They also lack of social knowledge. It proves how the Government alone can't fix this. There must always be a synergy between both of parties.

Rather than talking about unemployment, I choose to look at the unemployability of most people that are complaining of lack of job which is a more serious problem because if you just go after certificate without ensuring that from the certificate you've gotten, you will be able adapt into any working system you find yourself.

Youth unemployability that's as a result of not looking out for a good skill is a bigger problem that's affecting the economy rather than the unavailability of jobs. If you create good jobs and the people that are supposed to work their are not skilled enough, it's going to push you into sourcing for expertrait from outside at the negligence of the local brains available.
