this question hits deep because a lot of people feel it daily. on paper we’re “progressing” — more tech, more productivity — but in real life it feels like we’re running faster just to stay in the same spot. cost of living keeps creeping up while wages barely breathe.

for many, it’s less about chasing freedom now and more about survival. work → pay bills → repeat. that’s where the frustration comes from. the system rewards output, not well-being.

bitcoin and similar ideas appeal because they offer at least some sense of opting out, or protecting future value. not a magic fix, but a signal that people are questioning the loop.

There is no choice for us to survive other than working, unless we are willing to exile ourselves to unexplored places and utilize natural resources. But even so, the truth is that we must still work in the sense that we must seek our needs even though we are completely dependent on nature.

It's our choice whether to go workaholic or work as much as we can. Well this depends on ourselves. And I would prefer to be workaholic in my youth for the purpose of being able to enjoy old age.

Isolating oneself in the countryside and utilizing agricultural land also requires labor, and one's ability to cultivate agricultural land to make it more productive depends on this. Many of us don't understand how to cultivate agricultural land more productively because we may have never done it before, so it requires specialized training in the sector. Working at a young age can be much more productive, and we can make specific plans to prepare for retirement. This must be done correctly so that the money we earn can be more productive.

If we work hard today to earn money but don't have a plan for retirement, that's no good either. But how can the money we earn now be more productive, such as by buying gold, building a business when ready, or investing in bitcoin? We can do all of this if we understand one of these, and the money we earn from work can be used to take advantage of the three opportunities I've outlined.

For now, we would have to work to help live a decent life. I hope the cost of living declines considerably soon. Otherwise, no one would be able to survive except for the rich. Perhaps, it's all part of the governments' plan?

No one wants to live a comfortable life without working, but we have to be more realistic in our outlook on life, because we are not in a dream world, we live in a world where reality is more bitter than what is desired.

I strongly criticize the lives of young people today, they have many choices in working and even they prefer to be unemployed rather than working but their work is not in accordance with what they want. Not all of them are like that, because there are still many who work hard, but some people I meet show that attitude and I really hate it when their attitude is like that.

Good question OP. Feels like most ppl start working to live, then slowly end up living to work. Bills, responsibilities, etc. Crypto kinda showed me there are other options, but it’s not magic. End of the day, balance matters more than grinding 24/7 imo.

Those that started working to live are better than those who have not start working because there are bills to settle to avoid disrespect and value in your environment, especially when you are planning to get marry because you have to work to gather enough funds that will reach you to carry out your marriage, and after marriage the bills will double up because you have to make everything available for your wife which is the responsibility of a  man in the house, for those that planned their life well will not worry about this high inflation that is increasing to cause high cost of living because they are sustaining from their hand work to Carter for themselves and their love ones, but those that ignored working to live will not have resources to Carter for their love ones because they are not working.

The Op does pose a good question whether to work to live or live to work. This is indeed difficult to answer because everyone has varying answers, both in economics and in our purpose in life according to religion. The answers will undoubtedly differ but what is clear is that in the current economic system we cannot survive without work because everything requires money even in big cities even defecating has to be paid.

So the point is we must find a balance between meeting financial needs working to live and living our daily lives living to work. Even in religion work can be a form of worship because it allows us to survive. Essentially both need to be balanced so that we don't lose sight of important aspects of life.

It's virtually impossible to live comfortably without working to earn money, and even if a country does have a government that funds its citizens' living expenses, I believe it's only provided for basic living expenses, while anything beyond that must be earned by each individual. So it would be a huge mistake if there are still young people today who think that comfort will come naturally to them without working or earning money, and they are even shameless enough to rely on government assistance at such a young age.

I also wonder if there are young people who still think like that today. Because if they are still reluctant to work and strive according to their own abilities in their youth, who knows what their life will be like when they are truly adults and older. If you are working to spend time that is good because old people are working for fitness and they need no money to live life because they have pension which is giving financial freedom. Actually, the current bad economy has basically brought us to this position where we work only for our living, where many times our happiness and desires are overshadowed by the need.
But at the same time, I also think that we should not just be depressed thinking about these issues, but we should follow Bill Gates' popular quote that it is not a mistake to be born poor, it is our fault if we die poor.  So despite all the difficult situations we face, we have to keep upgrading ourselves over time and maintain our position, whether it's through business or any other skill we love.
