Yeah, those news reports are true. The problem is, even though they've been exposed and officially banned, online e-sabong operations are still running nonstop. Even now, you can still see their live streams right on Facebook visible in users' feeds, where many people can watch. This means the authorities who issued the ban seem to have no real power or enforcement like a toothless law.

On top of that, how are these e-sabong platforms still able to operate in the country? It clearly suggests there's someone powerful backing them, allowing them to keep running illegally. And let's be honest the current president himself is also linked to several illegal businesses, including illegal online casinos, so it's no surprise these operations continue unchecked.

I found this ironic by banning e-sabong while the actual sabong IRL are still allowed. It’s same idea to online casino so they should ban all form of online gambling not only e-sabong.

I still saw some of this e-sabong that usually you can only have an account through agent. You can’t access it without an agent account so everything regarding this e-sabong is very private just to play this game which is not worthy the hassle.

Based on the rules, it looks like they’re streaming cockfighting events in the Philippines. That’s illegal here since it’s already banned, so the feed itself is probably illegal too. But honestly, who cares,  the government isn’t really going after them (casino), especially if they’re outside the country’s jurisdiction. You make a valid point—this game can easily be rigged, especially when held online. In fact, there was a case in the Philippines where more than 30 individuals involved in cheating were murdered, and the trial is still ongoing. I can relate to this situation since this is the same condition on cock fighting in the province which an arena to legally play this game is not available.

For physical (traditional) betting, I think it's difficult to regulate cheating during the fight. I've occasionally seen such physical matches in the past. The betting isn't hosted, and bettors have to find their own opponents. In other words, peer-to-peer betting.

Even though there's a referee, it's as if all the spectators are overseeing the match. It's possible that cheating attempts are planned before the fight begins, such as administering stamina-boosting drugs or other means. Still, it's just an attempt; the chickens can't be ordered to lose, and spectators have almost no legal consequences for severely injuring the referee if they caught cheating. lol

While I understand that cockfighting gambling is popular in some certain regions of the world due to cultural acceptance, the few times I have watched it, I didn’t feel comfortable or okay about it- watching two cocks fight to the death is not my idea of having fun while gambling or gambling for fun. It is just not for me at all.
