I'm a gambler who would stop when my fund I set for gambling runs out. If you have already lost a large amount to the point that you are just gambling for the sake of gambling, placing bets recklessly, and probably hoping to make a comeback(as you mentioned), then it's time to stop. Continuing to gamble in that state is just digging yourself into a deeper mess.

But once it’s all gone, I make sure to control myself and not deposit again, because I’ve experienced that many times before and it usually doesn’t end well. There are some habits that I learnt from Forex trading that seem to relate to gambling, it was found that traders cut short winning trades while losing trades it was found that these are kept going which is still unexplainable. Any gambler that's eager to win can easily give up on his bankroll after losing big because he has this feelings that let me just keep gambling since I have lost majority of my funds. At that time, you will feel it's useless stopping the game. It happened to me when I was aiming to win big and forgot that winning is by luck and not by our own will.

It's very hard question to answer to be honest, because as far as my experience goes, I would sometimes still continue when I know that I'm already losing. As there is part of me thinking that I could bounce back and at least break even is good then I will quit.

But there are times that after a suffering big defeat already and you have a feeling that casinos are ganging up on you, like playing in slots and then giving you this near hit or near miss, then it's a sign that I should stop for good for that night as everything is not falling on my end.

I believe every gambler already faced this dire situation but my reaction on dealing this situation is different depending on my financial status.

I play more if I can still afford to play but most of the time I already stop playing since I’m scared to add more losses.

I manage multiple times to recover from big losses by playing more but this is not recommended and the feeling is not nice at all compared to regular gambling that is just chilling.

Yes, been it this kind of situation many times in the past, the thing is that even if you are losing and losing that excitement, I will still continue to play no matter what. And yeah, you're right, it's being reckless. But what can you do? You're a gambler and will continue no matter what.

However, it could also give gamblers a good lesson. Maybe after several bouts of this kind, then maybe we can learn from it that we should stop and not go and chase. Because that's where the danger is, chasing might equate to us losing more money in the end. So for me, I would rather stop and control my emotions, like going out and take a walk if it is online games. Or just decided to go home if I play in traditional land base casinos.

It’s easy for me to lose hope in that kind of situation. I usually just think there’s no point in extending the agony. If it’s sports betting, I’d just go for a parlay and do it live so the result comes faster. If it loses, that’s the end of my gambling session. You should not allow it to get to this stage sir; how do you do it? You set a budget and split it across your gambling days in a week. Each day you fund your deposit balance with only the amount you have planned to use for the day and as soon as it reads back to zero, you quit. Allowing yourself to get to the extent where you are very down and just placing bets unnecessarily hoping for a miracle denotes that you are already chasing losses and it wouldn't take time before you are completely in a financial mess.

I go by the simple principle, plan your exit in a gambling session before you enter which you can do by disciplining yourself not to deposit more than once and exiting the casino when your deposit dries off.

I find it normal thing to lose the enjoyment especially when you are losing huge amount of money. Since excitement will be replaced by frustration and it will lead to urge to chase those losses then try to recover.

This is stressful situation and most of people undergo in this state are pissed off or angry once the game end then they lose all the money they deposited on the casino.

I try to avoid this situation that's why when I feel like I'm having a bad day and no sign of luck showing up as the losses pilled up I immediately quit because I'm afraid to lose more money if I continue to gamble.

When i'm already in a big down. It means my mentality is also down and come to the emotional level. The only best way is that to stop it for a while and take a rest. Spend my time in the social work, and have other activities to forget my lose.

That’s how real gamblers think ,they don’t chicken out once the balance starts running low. You go in with a specific amount you’re ready to lose, and you don’t withdraw unless it’s a win. That’s how you train yourself to face the reality of gambling there’s only win or loss, nothing in between.

There’s no such thing as “minimizing losses” because from the start, you’re already risking what you can afford to lose.

When I'm already bagging lose one after the other, everyday is not for me and I understand that already so I know when to stop and when to continue and this has always helped me as I'm sure it is helping alot of people as well till today, not knowing when to stop or refusing to stop when you already know that there is little hope for you is one of the biggest mistake gamblers make and even when they know how much this mistake is costing them they just keep making it over and over, I can understand the feeling that if you stop then you might never win your losses back but then if you don't stop then you will only just be multiplying your losses and that's so much worse for you as a gambler do stop early enough to save yourself from bankruptcy.

At such a situation, I am already self conscious that it's time to take a break because I can not afford to zero my account if really I never intended to spend all the deposit I made. The only time I will go reckless without minding whether all my balance is burned or not is only if I have specifically dedicated the amount for just gambling at that time and I would just want to keep gambling to see if a win is going to come before my balance can turn to zero. I hate to experience consistent losing in gambling because immediately the loses comes, i start losing excitement in the games and continuing to play wont work for me again since i already got my emotions tempered withbat that state.

So best for me to take a break and then come back later and when i do, i wont be chasing my previous loses bit rather i will start afresh and expecting my luck to flow me to the winning point.

I advice you should try and control your gambling spending if you alway spend time chasing a particular direction, is a bad sign of deep gambling addiction at ot early stage.
