sergiorus has a point that the old lock-and-mint bridges are hard to justify for most transfers now. CCTP and LayerZero cover same-asset moves, and swap aggregators cover cross-asset ones.
on aggregators, the integrations are worth looking at. Changelly is in Ledger Live, and Trezor Suite offers it through its swap providers. hardware wallet companies are careful about what they put in front of their users, and Changelly has stayed in Ledger Live through several market cycles. that says something about how Ledger rates it.
pair that with swaps paying out straight to your hardware wallet and you've got a reasonable way to do cross-asset swaps without touching a bridge contract.
calling it a "complete scam" off the back of one subreddit doesn't give us much to go on, ihavenoidea24
r/changelly_scam exists because people who went through bad AML holds needed somewhere to vent, which is fair enough. but everyone posting there is someone who had a problem. people whose swaps go through fine don't go looking for a subreddit to say so.
on the de-indexing: small subreddits often drop out of google because of how reddit handles indexing, and nobody's shown Changelly had anything to do with it.
if you're judging the platform for normal crypto-to-crypto swaps, that subreddit shows you the worst cases and none of the rest.
I've used Changelly for years, so here's where I land.
Calling it a scam misses what's going on. It's a swap aggregator that handles large-amount compliance cases badly.
The complaints that hold up: KYC kicks in after the funds arrive when it should come before, and communication during holds is slow and generic. If you're the person stuck in one of those holds, it's a miserable experience.
Most users never get near that. For a normal swap you get a decent rate and the coins land in your wallet without anyone asking for documents, because small and mid-sized trades rarely trigger KYC.
If you're reading this to decide: it works well for small to mid crypto-to-crypto swaps, and on a large amount you should expect a possible compliance check. Ledger and Trezor would be unlikely to keep it in their wallets if it had a pattern of stealing funds.

Yep, you've just missed these three above me.
they are fresh out of the oven.
To you guys, no matter what you say about this service when the personal experience of users says that it's bad, you can't change that. Defending it through words won't change those experience and facts that's been told not only for this thread but also in the others.
just report their posts for spam. engaging with them is useless, they will just keep spamming their bullshit no matter what anyone says.
