Everyone has the right to call bitcoin whatever they feel matches how they perceive it, and it should be acceptable as long as the description matches the features of Bitcoin, just as some prefer to call it a digital gold rather than cryptocurrency, while some still call it digital currency which that word "digital" represents everything that could be electronically stored, transmitted etc.

Don't have to mind what name callings used by the others because they can arbitrarily and freely use many words to call Bitcoin. It's freedom of speech for everyone to do, and practically they can call Bitcoin is bad but invested their money in Bitcoin or otherwise, they call Bitcoin is good but did not invest any fund in Bitcoin at all.

Don't care about them.
Focus on yourself.

Start with your learning about Bitcoin, build up your knowledge about it, the Bitcoin market history, cycle and do your own investment accumulation with proper investment strategies.

Bitcoin is crypto since it is a product of cryptography which is still employed in its security, however I don't want to imagine bitcoin on the same level with other shitcoins and altcoins circulating the crypto space. Precision is what is sought and not really denying that bitcoin is crypto. This would also help a lot to inform new investors better that bitcoin is not to be associated with the rest and if it is not bitcoin, no other cryptocurrency would offer the same features like a store of value, censorship resistance security and decentralization inherent in bitcoin. It is just employed for clarity and not for denial of the inclusion of bitcoin as a crypto currency.

Yes, I have met a few such people on our forums as well and they are mostly bitcoin maximalists. They deny bitcoin is a cryptocurrency because they think bitcoin is in a different level from the rest of the industry. Classifying it together with other cryptocurrencies makes Bitcoin seem trivial. So they created their own definition that bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency, and it is simply bitcoin.

But no matter what they say and stubbornly refuse to accept it, it won't change anything. Bitcoin is still the cryptocurrency, the king, the pioneer that created the entire industry.

Probably bitcoin couldn't fit anymore in this definition, because only one thing can be bitcoin. Meanwhile ALL other coins can be considered a crypto currency.
It can be sound like a lazy excuse to create a difference but isn't.

Cryptography existed before Bitcoin was born and that's why you see people refered Bitcoin as cryptocurrency but the short form as crypto. I understand Bitcoin maxis because they don't like how Bitcoin is called crypto, the general view of it is that crypto are mostly regarded as altcoins which many of them are scams, fake coins and meme coins with fake teams that has their own interest than the investors but when you look at Bitcoin, it doesn't have any of these features.

I can tell you for free that we have some people that has been with Bitcoin for years and never in their life have they put money on any coin. It's has always been Bitcoin and Bitcoin alone. But if you search anywhere, you will find Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, it is the first currency and its popularity is the most. You're not wrong. The word "crypto" has been completely poisoned. Saying "Bitcoin is not crypto" is a necessary shorthand to distance it from the countless rug pulls and useless tokens. It's a reputation shield.

The statement that Bitcoin is not a crypto aims to make everyone understand that Bitcoin is the only one that is highly decentralized and the first Bitcoin to be on the market and we also know that with the presence of Bitcoin, many other cryptos were born on the market, some people do not want to call Bitcoin a crypto because in fact Bitcoin is very different from other cryptos even though they both use blockchain technology but basically the purpose of its use is very different from Bitcoin. Crypto means cryptocurrency that is a term used for all cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and alternate cryptocurrencies aka altcoins. Bitcoin leads this industry and market while altcoins don't lead the market. They are weaker, have lower value or no value and are super sensitive to be abandoned by developers or die in the market when people lose their interest in bad altcoin projects.

Altcoins can not replace Bitcoin and none of them are Bitcoin killers, even Bitcoin forks.

I think why Bitcoin shouldn't be referred to as cryptocurrency but digital currency is because people especially the ones that are new into the system would think it's same thing as other alternate currency or shit coins , Bitcoin is the most superior to others and should be called Bitcoin instead of Cryptocurrency to avoid confusion.
 However Bitcoin is a Cryptocurrency but then Satoshi didn't classify it as that but said its the world's first p2p digital currency maybe he understood that it would cause confusion in the future which is why he said that.

Even if cryptography is a key component in Bitcoin's decentralization and security, I still don't consider Bitcoin to be among cryptocurrencies. When I hear the word "cryptocurrency," what comes to mind are altcoins, and the majority of the altcoins we have in the market are not reliable. It is not proper to classify Bitcoin under the same category called cryptocurrency.

This is why I classify cryptocurrency as all altcoins and Bitcoin as Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just on its own and can't be seen as the same as any other digital currency. Most cryptocurrencies are considered shitcoins, and this is how people describe cryptocurrency in their minds.
